YER JUST GONNA HAVE TO MIX 'N MATCH

Was uncle Rico an incel?

I remember watching this and losing my shit over and over again in high school
Then I watched it as an adult and didn't laugh once
It was a fucking weird revelation for me

>Then I watched it as an adult and didn't laugh once
People sometimes don’t find out that they’re faggots until they’re much older user

I SAID THE CHUCK, NOT THE Sneed !!!

Napoleon Dynamite was a very special movie that's specific setting has to resonate with you.

STAYVUN

Uncle Rico had a gf in the movie, so no. Also he played football in high school, no incel virgins play contact sports lmao.

this, or the character has to resonate, like it did for my family because it reminds them of me and I'm apparently a giant fucking sperge because I have a dry personality

>t. will be sucking cock in the next decade

No he didn't. He was trying to bang the one popular girls mom, and came on to Marla. Also you can go from a football chad to an incel. Trust me. I'm more like uncle Rico than I like to admit.

based

Seeing it in theaters was unlike anything I'd experienced before. Nonstop laughing. It didn't rely on big punchlines, more so on weird pauses and mumbled lines. Once someone started laughing, everyone did. Should have won best soundtrack too.

Top 5 comedies of the century:

>Napoleon Dynamite
>Borat
>Kung Pow Enter the Fist
>Oh Brother Where Art Thou
>Shaun of the Dead

I remember that movie was basically ruined for me when I heard "your mom goes to college" "gimme some of your tots" or "break the wrist walk away" countless times a day back in middle school. My aunt gave me a copy on DVD for christmas and I never opened it.

The girlfriend came back at the end of the movie. She rode in on a bike.

The humor was fresh when the film was released but it's really not anymore. I still enjoy the movie for what it is. Comedy films dont age well usually

Some notable exceptions:
>Monty Pythons
>Dr Strangelove
>Young Frankenstein
>Caddyshack

I was such a contrarian fedoralord in elementary school that I felt so fucking superior for not watching this movie or taking part in the memes (the same proto-redditors who would unironically sing the "spider-pig" theme song) but a couple years later when I caught it on Comedy Central I ended up liking it and still think it's a good movie.

Vote for Pedro.

Good lord this movie did not aged well.

>no Airplane
>no Dumb & Dumber
>no Batman & Robin

All hilarious comedies.

Only film on that list that's still funny is Dr. Strangelove
Also Airplane

Hot take, strangelove was never funny

No fighting this is the war room
Mein fuhrer i can walk
And riding an atom bomb

Are the only things ressembling comedy in the whole film

I watched this for the first time, 14 years old and high on hallucinogenic mushrooms in the theater. All the humor fell flat on me in that state and it was akward and uncomfortable to experience .

Same. Don’t feel bad, user we were superior for not quoting it irl

I like the animated series they made.

>Forgetting "You'll have to answer to the Coca Cola company", "Precious Bodily Fluids", and the phone call between the president and Moscow and only remembering the r*ddit meme scenes

Dumb gay retard post

This movie was revolutionary. Did cringe comedy before it became popular, amazing soundtrack, unique setting, good cinematography.
It's one of the best movies of all time.

>Then I watched it as an adult and didn't laugh once
The same thing happened to me but it was becasue I see the movie now as a poignant story about the effects of a lack of a male role model.

It's hilarious in middle school but the older you get, the more you realize how unhappy and stale life in Preston, Idaho is. I don't think anyone smiles in the movie until Napoleon does his dance.

you know we can’t afford the fun pack, money doesn’t grow on trees in our family, put it back!

>smells the plunger before putting it in the cart

The best comedies in my opinion are the ones that go nowhere, like the big Lebowski, just 90 minutes of literally nothing happening

I sung the song Kip sings to my wife at our wedding. This movie will always be one of my all time favorites. I think you had to be in the 13 to 15 age range when this movie came out to trully appreciate it. Some of my older friends either think little of it or thought it was stupid and the zoomers i know havent seen it.

>high on hallucinogenic mushrooms
>All the humor fell flat on me in that state

Retarded junkies usually aren't the target demographic of anything of value.

The guys smile when Napoleon talks about him shooting wolverines with his cousins in Alaska

You know we can’t afford the fun pack. What do you think money grows on trees in this family? Take it back! And get some pampers for you and your brother while you’re at it.

Deb smiles at Napoleon at least once

how does it feel to be a complete brainlet?

Pink panther strikes again
Three Stooges
Dumb and dumber 1
Gods must be crazy
What about bob?

I mean in a genuinely happy way, not a snide or patronizing way. Pedro for instance has no facial expression at all through the entire movie until the end. No one in the movie seems to really enjoy anything, not even at the school dance. They're trapped a decade or more behind everyone else and are excited to see anything new, even if it's some sperg's dance routine.

Fair enough. Yeah I’ve been to Idaho, it’s pretty depressing if you’re not up north with all the woods n mountains

There's a lot of smiles at the end of the movie.

It would be great to track this down. Uncle Rico trully lived the patrician life of a pastoral nomad.

There was a time before the internet. I remember visiting my cousins in flyover state and it was like going back it time. Goobers we're playing with pogs and tomagachis and just heard about airwalks shoes. I laughed at them relentlessly but in reality, they were happier in their ignorance. Living in bullshit fast paced consumerism is killing us all.

But I'm stoked for iPhone XI

>*I want that*

You look like a strong young pup. Why dont you see if you can give that a tear.
I cant do it.....i cant do it

Same thing happened to me with Ren and Stimpy. I tried watching it and was grossed out by everything.

He was so disappointed, she so annoyed and Rico so smug about that.

I laugh to this movie even more that I’m older. Every watch you notice something new and I never gets old to me. Rexkwondo AD - “and the wisdom of a man” cuts to shot of him choking out a woman

Was that when you discovered your homosexuality?

>egg sandwiches
>boiled eggs
>egg drink
>Napoleon's face when he drinks the egg drink

Attached: maxresdefault-1.jpg (413x509, 147K)

looks like a list form facebook

No...yes.
But seriously, I can't stand r&s anymore and I adored it as a kid.

You idiots do realize the movies he listed came out this century, right? Not the 20th

I'm not American but this film was extremely relatable for me. It just captures the strangeness of living in a small town no one cares about. There is a lot of sadness to this film also just underneath the surface

Did you think it was some nice place while you were watching it the first time? I remember how weird and bleak the town was one of the reasons I liked the movie so much when it came out. Kip's story is about him leaving that place even though the girl is hilariously ugly.

replace Oh Brother with Tropic Thunder

I liked all the sexual tension between uncle rico and Deb but then you find out he's just trying to sell her breast enlargement

It is perfect in its own little way. And completely free of irony which plagues modern comedies.
>There is a lot of sadness to this film also just underneath the surface
Agreed. The ending always manages to stir up a bittersweet feeling in me

>dude I was like SO high and just like um I just was ABOVE it you know??

>young Frankenstein isn't funny
Zoomer faggotry. Bet you haven't even watched it because its not in color.

Superbad is better than all of those.

Your opinion is super bad.

>that bit where he says 'how much you wanna make a bet I could throw a ball over them mountains'

kek its me borato look at my funny accent and how i treat woman xD

You will not survive the day of the well.

Yeah there's a bunch of gangs at this school, this one gang kept wanting me to join cause i'm pretty good with a bowstaff

>Bet you haven't even watched it because its not in color.
I already said Dr. Strangelove was the funniest movie on the list. Sorry I don't like dumb innuendos from Mel Brooks

Why did he lie so much?
