Endgame thoughts

what was the Yea Forums consensus on this? i thought they had 2 hours of filler, and overall huge disappointment.

>I am Iron Man
Left the cinema right here tbf

The cinematic event of a lifetime

wait did you really? in the theatre i was at, right when then happened 3 dudes walked out, almost simultaneously.

the other day I did, third time I watched it and left when purple man got dusted because ending is kinda boring, was by myself

I don't know what's more cringey, all the female characters teaming up or Cap being able to handle Thor's hammer

I thought it was fantastic and while I've always been lukewarm on the MCU as a franchise it makes me appreciate it more in hindsight. The duology Infinity War/Endgame stands with the best of the genre and while Batman v Superman appeals to me more on a personal level I'm quite ready to admit that Infinity War/Endgame stand on equal footing with it as one of the great superhero epics.

>Cap being able to handle Thor's hammer
It was foreshadowed in Age of Ultron, when Captain America nudged the hammer slightly when they were all attempting to pick it up.

The spectacle was great.
There were plenty of plotholes which required turning the brain off. But not any more so than GoT level of braindead.
There was one extreme cringe moment (the all female line-up) that took me out of the movie.

Great first 2 acts. 3rd act lacks the great action of IW. The only notable action scene was Cap combos with Mjolnir.

>Thanos goes cross-eyed and cups his crotch
>WOWEE ZOWEE!!!!
>every guy winces in unison
>*slide whistle*
>Shuri leans to Scarlet Witch and says "that's gotta hurt"
>dog covers his eyes with his paws and whimpers
>*bowling pins getting knocked down*
>squirrel dressed as Groucho Marx looks into the camera and says "even that's too much nut cracking for me"
>*Wilhelm scream*
>1890s bootblack says "that's gonna smart!"
>*Goofy scream*
>Tchaikovsky looks into the camera and says "even that's too much nut cracking for me"
>*plate shattering*
>Carnac the Magnificent holds an envelope to his head and says "You folks don't even wanna know!"
>RIGHT IN THE INFINITY STONES!!!
>cut to Stan Lee flying a spaceship and looking down on the planet where they're fighting
>"I don't care what Universe you're from, that's gotta hurt!"

I thought it was excellent. The first act was a pretty good slow burn showing the fallout of IW.
Second act was a fun heist movie and had all the right call backs.
Third act was a really well paced and choreographed battle.
Mainly I'm happy about Iron Man and Captain America being the stars of the show and getting good endings, especially after Cap was mostly left to do nothing in IW.

Walked out when Captain America was giving dating advice to some faggot.

Would've been kino if the final fight was purely just thor im and cap vs thanos and only showed the unsnapped at tony's funeral. Shoving in the big bombastic shitty ny fight 4.0 ruined the end for me.

solid kek

>watches shitty watered-down adaptations of comics
>knows nothing of source material

Yeah quite a few people left at my screening when the final battle ends. I stay because Im a sucker for end credits tease even though the movie was shit

Literal kino, best marvel movie by far despite its mistakes

I just watch Infinity Wars, and I'm just going to pretend it ended there, with the Gayvengers btfo and Thanos sitting on his farm. Pure kino.

Vision's death was completely pointless and forgotten. Tony and Nat sacrifices led to tangible results, Vision's sacrifice contributed nothing to the win.

>they kinda threw all of Thors development out the window

>cap ending was wack asf

>Hulk underutilized. Again.

>Captain marvels dumb bitch ass and her hokey entrance (with a raccoon telling you to get hype)

>Thanos with no stones somehow stronger than Thor with Stormbreaker, who broke through a laser ray bs from a 6 stoned gauntlet

I will say this though. Paul Rudd could definitely carry this franchise the next 10 years. Homie turned it up for this flick
