Because anyone capable of doing something similar knows there's no point in making the same WW2 movie twice, no one cares about WWI, Vietnam is done into the ground, and everyone cares too much about the middle east for the film to be valued on filmmaking rather than whatever political agenda it is interpreted as portraying.
