DS9's final is almost perfect but the Gul Dukat plotline ruins it. It's like SFDebris said, it was Kira's story arc to kill Dukat, not Sisko's. It's literally equivalent of Arya killing Night King instead of Jon.

The characters are complex and interesting. I can understand not wanting to watch after a few episodes. But you gotta give it more of a watch than 15 mins. I'm not talking about the themes, that was actually what drove me to watch it. I'm a sucker for normal characters trying to make sense of life and/or death. I'm talking more about how it was presented. One scene that struck me and that illustrates it perfectly was how the mother reacted to the father's death. It was just so fucking exaggerated. I know people react differently to death but like I said, this was mexican soap opera level of reaction and acting.

Listen man, what you consider soap and overreacting might be actual raw and excellent acting at some points. The show is maybe the best drama I have ever seen and there are some moments so painfully real and subtle that they can chill you to the bone. Very important to be open and for the love of God, watch the two first seasons or more in a slow and consistent pace. They blend so into eachother and watching too much at once will definitely feel sluggish and disorienting. A lot of people Binge one and two only to get tlost and quit for a long time somewhere in season two.

She is both a case in point of Danys whole savior of people and thus an excellent anchor of her identity and one of her most trusted and dear friends.
