To subvert your expectations bro.
Why did they let Rian into the writing room?
like any teen pervert, his purpose was to watch his sisters naked
The spirit of Rian has been haunting writers since the invention of fiction. Our ancestors called it "being a talentless hack".
>wipe out human civilization or focus on getting some kid who knows history
i dont get it, they could literally have just murdered off 99% of human population and left winterfell to die off during the winter
Based and incestpilled
Have sex
Has there ever been a long running series with a strong final season and satisfying ending?
The rape, OP
Watch the rape over and over
>what was the point
Damn. I'm stumped, I didn't know entertainment fictional characters needed a point.
>Why did they let Rian into the writing room?
Are you implaying the show has an actual written script at this point?
Boardwalk Empire, you fucking mutt
>another Bran thread
We don't have time for this
gtfo shill there are plenty of shows that have decent final season, but thanks to D&Ds inability to produce original material to save their lives this series has gone to shit
You serious lad? He's going to be king.
lol
I'm sure you're shitposting but this is the kind of defense that smooth brains really love to regurgitate.
I'm literally just curious, seems like there's so many shows that just collapse in the final stretch because the writers never fully thought out how to tie up the story arcs
They did it so he could become an incel.

to drop one liners
Is this irony?
I'm not shitposting, characters don't need points as long as they're entertaining.

Bran was important because he could hurl fireballs that destroy the undead. Same as a dragon. (see: treefolk were hurling fireballs too, he is the leader of the treefolk people now and inherited their best powers)
So Bran is like the most powerful dragon that doesnt know how to fight yet so they have to kill him quickly. They didnt have the option of even waiting 1 week outside of Winterfell and risk him finding his true power.
He sits the Iron Throne. Not fucking kidding.
Even all the betting sites know already.
thewrap.com
what? they literally say its because he has all knowledge of humans. hes not a child of the forest, and it nowhere hints he has their grenade powers
To add on: a ton of huge money sums bets were made on Bran and his odds are now fucking 1/1 so the chances some insiders dropped a fuckton because they know is high. It doesn't get more clear cut than that.
>Here are the current odds for who will rule Westeros come series end on May 19:
Bran Stark 1/1
Sansa Stark 3/1
Jon Snow 7/2
Daenerys Targaryen 5/1
Tyrion Lannister 5/1
Gendry 9/1
Cersei Lannister 14/1
Arya Stark 20/1
Jon Snow & Daenerys’ Baby 20/1
Jaime & Cersei’s Baby 33/1
Samwell Tarly 33/1
Varys 33/1
Euron Greyjoy 40/1
Jamie Lannister 50/1
Davos 80/1
>Every Star Trek except Voyager
The last episode of TOS is the body switching episode.
It's a tragedy when it warged into George Lucas and gave us those prequels.
all knowledge of humanity includes all MAGICAL knowledge of spells and powerful incantations. He just has to bother looking for it and applying it
Another "Bran takes it" betting pool. Notice that fucking Gendry has better betting odds of being on the throne than Daenerys, betters all know she dies. What has dropped like a rock are Jon's chances. Sansa's up higher than him now, he's not getting it either.
oddsshark.com
But yes smart money is the "point" of Bran is he wins the Game of Thrones my friends.
shit, i didnt think of that, so bran can change his face like a faceless man too then
Just watch this.
I guarantee it will become your headcanon:

DS9's final is almost perfect but the Gul Dukat plotline ruins it. It's like SFDebris said, it was Kira's story arc to kill Dukat, not Sisko's. It's literally equivalent of Arya killing Night King instead of Jon.
just finished it
legit fanfic
I'm not like you anymore. I watched past events. Now I talk slow and never give insight.
the entire show is fanfic, silly. somethings wrong with you if you dont see that video as a huge improvement over the episode
Yeah I liked the video. I said "legit," as in, its fuckin legit. this guy is a good storyteller
HOly fuck this is fucking epic. The rainbow swordsman came back in a big shoutout to the LGBTQP community,
Why didnt he warn them about eurons ships waiting ?
Not quite. Dukat and Sisko had a strong back and forth throughout the entire series. The Night King and Arya had literally nothing to do with each other. I agree, it would've been better if it was Kira but it wasn't like Sisko didn't have any sort of relationship with Dukat.
There is that whole episode where Sisko gets injured and Dukat goes through all of those delusions.
of course the don't, I personally love watching ten years of buildup turn to shit

>what's the point of Bran
Giving me and my friends a laugh every time he comes on screen. We always say "here comes autism man with the awkward one liners."
Always good for a giggle, m8
Maybe he did and foresaw that the ambush would start a chain of events that was ultimately to their favor (possibly weakening the dragon queen enough for the Starks to break free after the war at kings landing)
The Shield had a great ending.
Episode 3 was watching with my buddy, as the night King did the slow walk towards Bran he shouts "roll over his toes". We had a laugh
What makes even less sense is having Bran up in Winterfell to begin with. He contributes nothing to the fight AND he's the main target for NK. So... just ship him off to Essos then with the Greyjoy fleet?
The last season was strong but the ending was meh
I think I have watched like ten of those, they keep parroting the same things:
>use Dothraki as archers on the walls
Assuming that they could use bows which takes serious training which there is no show of.
>do not fight outside of Winterfell
>use dragons to lit up the ditch
>put women and children somewhere that doesn't have corpses that could reanimate
>kill Gray Worm, Brienne, Tormund, Missandei, Pod and Ghost
>have Theon and Jon kill Night King
Sopranos
>yfw you realize they couldn't think of anything to do with the white walkers other than use it as an excuse to bring the characters together
Scrubs
Who am I to think the build of plot and characters was going to actually go anywhere?
Like if you are just going to kill off people/creatures to remove them for convenience and tying up the story, just don't add such a bloat of characters in the first place and have thing progress a bit faster.
Next show, look up the word payoff in the dicktionarty
Star Trek
Six feet under.
The mind-meld of Brand and the NK is a MASSIVE improvement on this episode, no matter whether you think it would be cool or not. At least it ties shit together
no matter how the show ends they are definetly gonna zoom in on dragon eggs hatching before they fade to black
Justified
>Six feet under.
Is this show worth watching or is it the usual drama which talks trivially about relationship and stuff?
This infuriates me. He has super warging powers, he has infinite knowledge of all things past, present and future(?) and he has wisdom beyond any mortal. He's basically the ultimate overpowered super wizard yet they don't use the character AT ALL.
Imagine Gandalf in LOTR sitting the whole movie with Elrond and making autistic comments. That's what Bran quite literally is.
I don't want to see him using retarded mind powers to manipulate wars and shit, I would love him to provide insight to the lore and shit. Yet he has done nothing of the sort and will likely not do so. His adventure was probably my favourite in the books but the show has fucking ruined it.
It's a decent drama. Explores death and complicated relationships. But it's consistent.
>dicktionarty
>Imagine Gandalf in LOTR sitting the whole movie with Elrond and making autistic comments. That's what Bran quite literally is.
this
Mad Men
not that user but I once tried to watch it and I couldn't pass the first 15 mins of the pilot. it was just so fucking soapy. does it get better or is it just an overly melodramatic mad men level of drama?
He's bussy watching the first men raping those lolis of the forest, I wouldn't care shit for war if I had access to pedo medieval rape
The characters are complex and interesting. I can understand not wanting to watch after a few episodes. But you gotta give it more of a watch than 15 mins. It's definetly just a show about a weird family that sees death everyday trying to be normal. I haven't watched in years but I do remember the liberal arts daughter being upset that her new boyfriend is a republican. And one of the sons is gay and there are uncomfortable man kissing scenes. It's in my top 20 but I could see why people would hate it.
my bad
I'm not talking about the themes, that was actually what drove me to watch it. I'm a sucker for normal characters trying to make sense of life and/or death. I'm talking more about how it was presented. One scene that struck me and that illustrates it perfectly was how the mother reacted to the father's death. It was just so fucking exaggerated. I know people react differently to death but like I said, this was mexican soap opera level of reaction and acting.
To tell us rape is beautiful.
>>put women and children somewhere that doesn't have corpses that could reanimate
Well, to be honest, at least I thought it only worked beyond the wall due to some winter magic offered by The Great Other whose powers are restricted to certain locations like with all the gods.
Can't just have a crummy old book confirm Jon's lineage
Wait, all the living witnesses from back then are dead
LET'S HAVE A PSYCHIC RAPEMAN CONFIRM IT
The mother is a good character. She's this bottled up women who shelters herself and tried to shelter her kids from the reality of what it is they do for a living. She blossoms as the show goes on.
Best scene in the show, the closet gay brother gets busted watching gay porn by the older brother and he just laughs hysterically and tells him he doesn't care and already knew. Really made me laugh.
They are all awkward as a result of dealing with their protective mother, death and working in a funeral home and don't know how to form decent relationships. That's the show.
The Sopranos if you buy into the POV theory.
>The final ending hidden in plain sight with camera work and editing while everyone misses it and rages over the cut to black
We didn't deserve David Chase
Why don't he just warg into Cersei and jump of a tower, or hit up some rape or something?
Guys, what if the real games of thrones were all the rape we saw along the way?
The Shield has the best ending in TV history imo.
Weird thing is that people take it as a given when Bran starts blabbing his autistic shit. Why is everybody so convinced he's telling the truth, or even able to know the things he does. Oh, and why aren't people fucking freaked out by having a guy amongst them who can literally see everything that's ever happened? Why aren't they asking him questions or otherwise using him to their advantage?
The more you think about this shit show the more it gives you headaches. I would fucking crave for information if I had someone who could tell me every mystery in the history of the planet.
For fuck's sake, I'm not talking about the characterization or the themes. I'm techincally talking about the show. Is it filled with overacting and soap opera styled drama?
Not overacting. It's soap operay though, yes. I don't know how else to describe it man. My bad for not being able to give you the answers you want.
Sheildbros, let's get a thread going.
>Why is everybody so convinced he's telling the truth, or even able to know the things he does.
The show clearly pinpoint that everybody trust bran because he is able to know were a rape has actually occurred or not
>WAS THE POINT OF THIS CHARACTER???
To become a true king
It's alright. I thought you were being dense. I also can't describe stuff sometimes. I'll give it another shot sometime but honestly if you say it stays soapy it doesn't look very good.
Sure would have been helpful for Bran to say "I was just watching a discussion Cersei was having with Euron, they're going to try to ambush you at Dragonstone."
I don't mind slow drama man. It's not hokey like true blood is. It's just, this family had this father that took care of everything and then in an instant he's gone and they are trying to pick up the pieces. The acting is great. The characters are interesting. But yeah, I could see how people would get bored with it.

Doesn't count if the series as a whole is mediocre.
What is P stand for?
yeah but can he fuck?
I'm still trying to figure out if his dick works

I'm not reading those faggy ass books
Tune in Next Time on Dragon Ball Z!
>happy space merchant on the wall
Why is it allowed?
GRRM is a fat tub of shit for not finishing his one project that gets him notoriety. He's had since 2011. He's published 8 other books in that time. He's writer about the NY Jets on LiveJournal. But he can't finish this shit so the show runner have something to work off of.
Listen man, what you consider soap and overreacting might be actual raw and excellent acting at some points. The show is maybe the best drama I have ever seen and there are some moments so painfully real and subtle that they can chill you to the bone. Very important to be open and for the love of God, watch the two first seasons or more in a slow and consistent pace. They blend so into eachother and watching too much at once will definitely feel sluggish and disorienting. A lot of people Binge one and two only to get tlost and quit for a long time somewhere in season two.
This.
Spartacus
That's a spinoff retard
The show ended a season earlier
fucking based
powerful rethorics
What was the point of Bran?
What was the point of Azor Ahai?
What was the point of Jon's parentage?
Feel free to add more
>trying to be normal
oh boy, sounds exciting and engrossing
i'd really be rooting for them
What the fuck was the point of the whole Dorne storyline??
I want his lips wrapped around my dick.
What was the point of Missandei?
IIRC she was both a language and a cultural translator for Dany, and also a slave, a trade which seeing abolished was a big thing for Dany at some point. I don't recall her doing anything of importance apart from her being a sassy gurl power character for a time and then scissoring with Grey worm. I'm not sure if she's had any dialogue with Dany for a number of seasons now.
Sopranos and Mad Men
Killing Cersei's daughter.
Read the rest of what I wrote and how I understand why people don't like it.
me too
Yeah did you guys not read the leaks?
kino
She is both a case in point of Danys whole savior of people and thus an excellent anchor of her identity and one of her most trusted and dear friends. Losing her is one of the most effective ways of sending her down the mad queen path by killing a friend who have been through a lot with her, severing her link to her history of saving and freeing, making her even more susceptible for choosing to burn everything. It's supposed to both infuriate and alienate Dany further from the rest.
this ones better, also only 2 minutes long
youtube.com
>most trusted and dear friends
Weird how they don't even seem to talk to each other.
Doesn't make any sense, she's already committed mass genocide and destroyed societies back in Essos, all with the full support of her "friend".
>warg into Dany
>sit on Jorah's face and fart as he's dying
Bran knows everything why couldn't he just give Jorah one taste?
not bad
>Yeah did you guys not read the leaks?
Like what?
>mass genocide and destroyed societies back in Essos, all with the full support of her "friend".
Not the same. She conquered different places across a vast Unorganized place and with mostly armies and politics. Now it's talk about burning a giant city to the ground, definitely condemning half a million to die by fire, in a continent of known houses and people that live together under a ruler with a history of dragons. There is civilization here and connectivity unlike over the sea. That's why the whole argument not to burn kings landing is 'people wouldn't like it'
Bran becomes the king after Jon kills Dany. He is basically symbolism for the all seeing eye AI God
Seth McFarlane's a faggot but he was right when he said shows shouldn't go past 7 seasons.
but her daughter was irrelevant to the story anyway
why do u post fucking gay ass anime pictures with whatever you are typing?
do u feel good resonating your persona with a faggoty looking elf gook drawing? fucking sissy tranny freak eat a dick.

My feelings towards you are neutral.
To make the audience envy. If I had his power, I would literally spend every single second of my life watching my sister, niece, work colleagues and childhood friend having sex.
Disagree... there was no need to separate his thoughts into two different paragraphs. I totally let it slide when there is an appropriate use. Nigger tier use of the English language is the calling card of an nigger or a upvoting goofball.
Sopranos and Mad Men.
Anyone that doesn’t like it have bad taste.
Imagine if Tolkien wrote the similarilion before parts 5 and 6 of lotr
>It's a tragedy when it warged into George Lucas and gave us those prequels.
The prequels don't suffer from being written by someone talentless, but by someone who is too in love with his own ideas. They aren't entirely competent but they're also not as ridiculously awful as say the TLJ.
Branposting
Literally also the only good thing that came out of the show.
>Babylon 5
The last season they weren't supposed to get pretty much sucked, user. The real series ended with the Shadow War.
to explain how hodor became retarded

Rome (although that was only two seasons)
Breaking bad is mediocre? Some people are just retarded i guess...
>The prequels don't suffer from being written by someone talentless
Are you having an aneurysm?
But even the shit awful S5 gave the show a SECOND fantastic final episode
>didn't warn everyone hardhome was overrun
>didn't warn everyone about cersei's betrayal
>didn't warn anyone about the ballista ambush
>didn't warn everyone about golden company
>didn't warn everyone about bronn's assassination attempt
dafuq is he even there for. should have let night king ice him.
goddamn is he so fucking ugly they should have just recast him for the love of all things
Mythbusters
Literally the worst episode in the entire show.
>the NK wants me because without me the memory of humankind will vanish
A) If everyone is dead from the NK the memory of humankind will vanish anyways
B) Bran and the TER's before him haven't shared jack shit about the old history of the world.
It is once you realise most of the appeal of the show is based on twists and cliffhangers.
user...
>ice him
nice
The last season of the Sopranos was boring as shit, though. They spent way too much fucking time on his shitty whiny kids.
