Yeah, current writers don’t know how to insert comedy into a serious movie. The comedy fucked TLJ and it’s fucking this movie too. The “how do you circumcise a homeless guy? Kick your mom in the chin.” joke made me giggle but it just keeps going like it’s trying to top the previous joke, all while an alien and oh now alien dogs are killing people.
I used to watch Schwartzenegger movies waiting for the cheesedick one liner puns, but after he said them the comedy was over. This is just intended to be a knee slapped with violence. Fuck this movie.

Mimic the plot of the Alien vs. Predator video game. Set it in the future on an alien planet where Space Marines are deployed to oversee scientists studying the Xenomorph aliens. Predator shows up on the scene looking to hunt Xenos and is pleased to discover an added bonus of having Space Marines to hunt. Shit hits the fan, much use of pulse rifles ensues.

I know Predators got a fair amount of shit, but it was infinitely better than this. It might have struggled in its execution but its mindset was generally in the right place. I have no idea what the fuck The Predator was trying to achieve. Even the title was a misfire.

You could still film most of it in a forest and some industrial looking sets, maybe a modern lab or two. Just bring in some scifi looking props, maybe CG in some alien looking plants and critters and a spaceship or two. It wouldn't have to be that pricey, that's basically what they did with the 2010 Predators with Adrian Brody (which was meh).
Just do it in the future so that you can play around with space marines and futuristic guns.

Remove the Predator. Without all the sci-fi shit it's actually a decent Expendables type soldier film. The main cast had a surprising amount of chemistry with one another.
