The button of not interested removes that vid from your pool of seeds, but you will still get vids from the same channel down the line
You need to tell YouTube that you are not interested in that channel with the "tell us why"

I hate jewtube but 95% of my recommendations are based on channels I'm subbed to. The "not interested in this" buttons do work if you make a moderately concerted effort to clean up your feed. You're probably just watching a bunch of random videos and they are basing reccomendations on what the other people who watched the videos also watched.
