i liked the new one. fight me. it was nice to see someone who had a passion for the series and wanted to try something new, instead of pulling another shelved Lifetime movie down to shoehorn in Pinhead the last twenty minutes.

I kinda liked it. I think the filmmakers realized there was no way they could visualize something as monstrous and beyond comprehension as Leviathan in all its glory, especially since the sfx were already getting hokey just trying to show Channard. So they went the completely abstract route. Not really satisfying but definitely a unique choice. Still the most disturbing diamond I've ever seen.

don't expect much but it's leagues ahead of everything past 2 and the writer/direct actually is passionate about the franchise. you can tell production was rushed and a bit of a mess.
but it's entertaining, especially aesthetically, and he tosses around a few good ideas.
