It's a horrible season. But also, fans are calling a lot of things bad writing that aren't.
Lord user, I wish you good fortune in the got threads to come.
Nu-fans unironically love it. The real fans left several seasons ago.
>fans are calling a lot of things bad writing that aren't
Care to give an example from this season?
No. Its garbage.
Arya killing the knight king, for me. It doesn't make her Azor Ahai because in the books there is no night king. Azor Ahai means bringing and end to the long night in a different sense; probably more metaphorically.
>unexpected shit happens from season 1-7
holy shit
>unexpected shit happening now
wtf bad writing, why isnt this a fairy tale
more like
>unexpected shit happens from season 1-4
holy shit
>stupid shit happens from season 5-now
wtf bad writing, why don't d&d take their own lives?
Normies hate it for the wrong reasons saying shit like Missandei deserving better while forgetting about Ned, Rob, and several others.
This. It's all fine and dandy until their favorite poc characters are killed
season 8 was the most true depiction of the real world....better than even the books.
>Big threats fizzling out like a fart
>People returning to their true nature (jamie)
>The coming of a new age of advanced weaponry that can fight airborne threats.
admit it you people want a romance/fairy tale
I'm disappointed they didn't hang her, the asspain would have been off the charts
my personal opinion is that it was always an at best decent but entertaining show that has gotten slightly worse with time
i wanted her to be pushed desu
I have no problem with her getting the final blow on the Night king, but for her to just show up and "Nothing personnel" the NK with absolutely no help from anyone else just seems rushed. Also, it didn't help that the entire episode looked like shit and was too fucking dark. Like Jon's whole arc has been built around the NK and his army and what did he actually do in the fight other than ice a few walkers?
What the fuck were they thinking with that armor.
fuck out of here dabid your show sucks now
Well what bothers me to a great extent that one of the early themes of the show is that the world of Westeros is full of dangerous things and cruelty. This point was made many times over when it was extremely dangerous for characters to travel and they would often get traumatized, maimed or worse simply by bumping into the wrong people along the way.
And now Jaime literally teleports to Winterfell and teleports back to King's Landing.
Same dumbing-down is in effect in virtually every aspect of the show. From character abilities, connections, politics, geography, logistics and so on.
Basically a fairly realistic fantasy setting was turned into a saturday morning cartoon.
You tell me
youtu.be
even normies are starting to hate this pile of garbage, and d&d's excuse for the shitty writing is that every character has alzheimers
anyone else scrolled through half the thread before realizing it wasnt about The Steve Wilkos Show?death of capeshit/got threads best day of my life
I like s6 and parts of s7
What the fuck were they thinking with s8?
Do they just not give a fuck since everyone is going to watch either way?
No the original tone of this show was pure kino. I've watched it from the begining a few times and it turns sour at the end of season 4
They're wrong about how bad it is. It's gone from being medieval and dramatically consequent to being generic fantasy where the good guy always wins, but it's still alright for generic fantasy.
>he must pay the iron price!
yea so the show has been shit the entire time
No (You)'ve been shit the entire time >:(
Do bookfags even watch this shitshow anymore?
Television and film will always be inferior to books. At least the show was tolerable when they had source material.
I do, just because I've been at it this long and I might as well see it through to the end.
It was never very good
.
