After Bloodlines.

Personally, I've pretty much enjoyed all of them up until Hellworld. Even if most if them weren't particularly good. Also, Revelations is one of the worst horror films of all time.

am i stupid for thinking bloodlines had some interesting ideas?

I forgave part III a lot (disco bloodbath was kino) but it all went to shit after that.

The Toymaker plot was breddy gud

It was never really on the rails to begin with. The first sold itself as some kind of demonic horror flick, then spent 90 mins being a gory run-of-the-mill monster/vampire story until the Cenobites finally showed up at the end. Visceral but not really truth in advertising.

Second one was even more visceral and clearly tried to work the wasted demonic/cosmic horror angle a little bit more, but ultimately it had no idea what to with itself either.

After that, the franchise hit Leprechaun levels.

was revelations the one where somehow kirstys husband is dumb enough to try to kill kirsty by getting her to open a box she should know will kill her as SHE WAS IN THE OTHER MOVIES WHERE SHE SHOULD KNOW WHAT THE PUZZLEBOX DOES and is enough of a brainlet to fall for it

Part 3. It’s the same thing that happened to Freddy and all horror villains. They become popular and so the studios cater to that and they stop being scary and just over the top.

hellraiser 2 was noticeably worse in my opinion but okay that was at least acceptable. 3 and on is pathetic, i guess its gradually gets worse but 3 itself is too trashy for me

i think nightmare 1 was much better than hellraiser and its a pretty good horror movie but 2 was very bad and i really dislike 3 aswell (others seem to like it for some reason) and after that freddy is just some goofy clown. the last one was interesting and freddy vs jason is enjoyable in a way but none of them come close to the first one witch is a great horror movie

I didn't understand most of it.

you should read the original script. It's easy to find online. It explains the plot a lot better before the cuts mad everything confusing as hell.

after part 5. Part 5 is lame too but I'm willing to forgive it. after that everyone stopped giving a shit.

"Hellraiser: Rama" redeemed the series. if you haven't seen it yet, check it out.
