The emphasis on sci-fi elements instead of crystal spire Krypton was nice but the color scheme was grey and washed out and it really refused to give Superman a personality.
The entire movie is about how Clark feels isolated from humanity, but when he finally meets other Kryptonians it's no big deal and he doesn't try to connect with them at all. It's nothing but fighting.
