What was his infinity war?

Literally nothing at this point. So little carnage time to focus on character developement.

I don't think he actually cares about politics, he just wants to make cool things and experiment.

>Your grace, just one of these ICBMs can eliminate the entire Northern and Targaryen threats in a single stroke. For good measure, we could use another to wipe out Braavos and avoid ever having to pay our debts to the Iron Bank.

why didn't he shoot everyone with a submachine gun when they come to be impaled and arrowed from the wall?

to advance the plot

he claims to be a man of science but I definitely get a creepy sadist vibe from him. I suspect he derives sexual pleasure from the suffering of others

To avenge his family.

projecting much?

revenge for getting kicked out of the citadel

Unironically knowledge, at whatever expense.

this

To serve Cersei and do le mad scientist experiments.

Attached: 111.jpg (2560x1080, 3.05M)

he's after all the ligma in the 7 kingdoms

nope. I only get off on other people getting off.

I actually like his character too, shame he never got more characterization. In a show full of incompetent retards it's refreshing to have someone who actually knows what they're doing.

there's no endgame, it's all randumb shit

Infinite power

Hopefully he finds a way to access dark and ancient magic in order to traverse across different dimensions and timelines so he can find DB&DB, murdering them to reset the existence of season 8. Too bad pic related isn't canon in the GOT verse, the wars would have been over seasons ago.

Does it annoy anyone else how
King's Landing has been turned into the dynamic setting full of life and intrigue into what feels like a cardboard cutout? Remember back in early seasons when we saw different areas and aspects of life in KL from all walks of life, from the throne room down to the streets and beggars? How we had all sorts of characters, from the King and his family to all the other nobles and high-status people who reside and work there, the high council, the septon, the maesters, the knights, and everyone else?

Now in S6-7, what do we have in King's Landing? What do we see there? It's just Cersei, and her two henchmen Ornstein and Smough. Watching these latest seasons, you'd think that KL consists solely of Cersei's private quarters, a medieval mad scientist, and his frankenknight creation. We see literally nothing else of the city. We don't see or know of any other named people still KL or helping Cersei, Biggie, and Smalls run the city or kingdom itself. The life and intrigue isn't there anymore. What the fuck happened?

What’s bofa?

He wants to modernise Westeros and bring in a new age of science. He's literally the Isaac Newton of the medieval got world.

he represents the insidious nature of knowledge. He develops weapons and experiments with little care beyond seeing what he can accomplish. I dont think hes a sadist but he kinda has this ends justify the means type mentality and kinda disregards the consequences of his actions and those of others as long as it leads to progress.

Chances of him being burned next episode?

>What the fuck happened?
Cersei became the baddie, so D&D pretend like nuking King's Landing would be morally correct.

Couldn't they have resolved the Cersei plot first for fucks sake. The defeat of the night king should have been the second to last episode with another one after to decide what happens with the politics in Westeros.

But SuBvErStEd mY ExPeCtAtiOnS

Cersei should've been dealt with long ago when she blew up the sept

everyone agrees with you. the mass agreement on this is unprecedented. silver lining here i guess. 'expectations subverted' is a fullblown meme. now every time the phrase comes up in postmodernist-infected arts/lit classes the students will be like, "wait, how is that a good thing?"

hearty kek

but what about le dragons dabid

So will we see night king 2.0 still or do you think they're completely done with that part? No explanation given or anything, he's just fuckin dead, biggest threat being built up for 7 seasons is dead who cares, next chapter.

>Your Grace, I present you my latest invention...the 2K22 Tunguska. The missile (NATO designation SA-19 Grison) has semi-automatic radar command to line-of-sight guidance, weighs 40kg with a 9kg warhead. It is 2.5m long with a diameter of 1.7m and wingspan of 2.2m. The missile’s maximum speed is 900m/s and can engage targets travelling at speeds up to 500m/s. Range is from 15 to 6,000m for ground targets and 15 to 10,000m for air targets. Two twin-barrel 30mm anti-aircraft guns are mounted on the vehicle. These guns have a maximum firing rate of 5,000 rounds per minute and a range of 3,000m against air targets. This extends to 4,000m against ground targets. It is designed to provide day and night protection for infantry and armored regiments against low-flying aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles and of course, dragons, in all weather conditions.

I would watch a spin off focused on Qyburn backstory and his experiments. He's great

Attached: iron qyburn.jpg (1280x720, 163K)

SCIENCE!

>thinking D&D would ever imply something antisemetic like nuking the bank

still better than what we're gonna get

He "knows what he is doing" only because he exists only to deus ex machina technologies the story needs. As soon as he takes a bigger part in the story he becoems a retard at DeD's leisure.

in the books it is revealed that he was kicked out the citadel because he conducted autopsies on living and conscious people. not because he enjoyed it but because he got better scientific results out of it.

also his actor is a 10/10 cast.

That's not really a real issue as much as a shift of focus. King's landing is not important anymore, why would they show more of it? That's like compalining they aren't showing as much of the eastern cities as in the earlier seasons, of course they aren't they don't matter anymore the action has moved.

>that pic
how can one man be so BASED?

He's actually one of my favorite characters - seems genuinely good-natured and honest about his situation. You can tell he's been through a lot and it's unclear if he has any long-term goals beyond expanding his own base of knowledge.

Naturally, they'll kill him next episode like he was some throwaway extra rather than an interesting secondary character for 4 seasons.

dying off camera

Nooooo :( he was the only good character u

Seeming somewhat sinister until he's eventually killed off unceremoniously and without consequence.

It is implied there is a creepy/sadaistic nature to his experiments in the book. Given all his subjects are women

I smiled

Manhattan project

The action is literally in Kings Landing why wouldn’t they show kings landing in detail?

My first thought of the wide shot of the walls was “where the fuck are they?” If Cersei hadn’t been there I wouldn’t recognize where they were.

You have cause and effect backwards though. It's only not important because the writers just forgot to have any other characters in the fucking capital of westeros besides those three. The fact that the final struggle in the show is centered around taking King's Landing and yet there's nothing there we even know or care about besides Cersei/Mountain/Qyburn is a testament to how shitty the writing is. If this were early-seasons GoT, we'd have an entire rogue's gallery of characters from the city to help flesh things out and give viewers a reason to even give a shit beyond which thot sits on the sword chair

>why wouldn’t they show kings landing in detail?
I was talking about the alive city part, about why they don't show more characters and lively interactions, I actually agree on the visual part.

When I first saw that scene, I thought Cersei and her people met Dany at some halfway point rather than at King's Landing. Because that sure as shit was not fucking King's Landing.

based incel

>But SuBvErStEd mY ExPeCtAtiOnS
Why do numales type like this?

Cause and effect are irrelevant, it's a fictional show, they chose not to add those things. I don't think it's a mistake or a failure, just a bad choice they made. Honestly many people(and i) just want this shitshow over, i don't want those retards adding more subplots, they are already bad enough at advancing existing ones.

what's ligma?

Attached: to788883k1x21.jpg (1998x1998, 334K)

>of season 8
more like of season 5-8
Also what is Daud's deal again? Why did he kill the empress?

Lame spongebob meme from a while back.

He’s an agent of chaos

Based Qyburn.

That's not what I meant. I meant cause and effect as in there's only nothing interesting in KL because the writers caused that to be the case with shitty writing. They decided to write the show for the past 2 seasons with literally no one of interest in the fucking capital city
