That's all comedy is. I tried to watch a Ron White Netflix special and for no reason, he just slams a bit about how cool being gay is in the middle of his act. It was out of place and didn't fit. Almost like Netflix told him he had to put that bit in there in his contract. It was really bizarre.

can't remember the episode, maybe the last segura one, it was one of his comedian buddies anyway, they were talking about hack comedians in general, and being lazy telling the same routine for years, and it just slipped out bert still tells the machine every night, then he tried to walk it back because he'd probably kill himself.

I don't hate the guy but I do listen to a ludicrous amount of podcasts (at work) and Bert is one of the many comedians whose personalities are pretty repulsive after you get to know them too well. "Life of the party" type of guy who instantly becomes best friends with any new clique he interacts with and immediately forgets them afterwards. Always does this fake song and dance of sharing too much. Also bulldozes podcasts just to babble about himself endlessly.

In fact pretty much every self-described introspective comedian podcaster has turned out to be willfully ignorant about their real issues and the other "brutally honest" comedians just smile and nod while listening to their totally deep takes on themselves. I don't even know why I even listen to many of these bores anymore.

Reminder that Jay Mohr took a nobody like Bert on tour as a young comedian and he tried to get Bert to tell the Tracy Morgan story on stage and Bert refused because he knew it was a lie and told Jay that he could do it. Jay started doing the bit on stage. Then Bert went on Rogan and Rogan cornered Bert and basically made Bert say Jay "stole" his bit. Rogan and his friends hate Mohr so they took this opportunity to drag his name in the mud, and Bert joined in instead of standing up for his friend.

Yeah, me too. The very last episode felt like a fucking advertisement for whatever new show that lady guest was blathering about. It might be the only episode I dont finish. God it was so boring.

It's funny the amount of guys I have met that are exactly like Bert. They are interesting when you first meet them but after the 5th or 6th time around them they are obnoxious, trying to dominate the conversation, they have to always "one up" everyone else.
