The book Jon is 'aight.
The show Jon is a useless cunt who just walks around looking confused.
He was from up here...
to fucking rock bottom
The people who don't trust Jon Snow are right not to do so. The wildlings are right -- he really is a crow at heart ready to sell them out. The watch is right -- he really is attempting to bring hostile forces into their territory, and doesn't give a fuck about the watch or his vows. He is willing to drop everything if someone he cares about s in danger, or if he can get some pussy. He is not easily read as a sympathetic character, and the evidence from the book is that his enemies are generally in the right about him.
In the show, he wasn't even vindicate din the end because the army of the dead really did turn out to be nothing, and they really didn't need Dany to drive them back -- in fact, his bending the knee to her caused the problem he tried to avoid, since the white walkers got the dragon.
Not very good, pretty boring lawful neutral character.
Based Jon snow not giving a fuck
Book : Based
Show : Onions-filled
He's a real hero
Onions*
>Book : Based
>Show : Onions-filled
What's the difference?
He's a good boy. Bit of a dumb ass sometimes. Show really does fuck him over a lot of the time.
He is my favourite character.
Jon before he died = Based
Jon after he died = Not Based
>tfw the show inspired me to change my name legally to Remington Snow during peak kino
>it's a pile of shit now
Fucking sucks
He was based during the siege of the wall but cringe the rest of the time
>there's actually a Remington Snow on Facebook
OH NO NO NO NO
Looking cute user
I like him more in the book, but fuck, I like Brienne and Danny in the books too. Probably just D&D's fault, or the manlet's whatever. The show's ending is stoopid and the books will never be finished.
Kit is objectively more handsome than Nikoljew Coster-Jewleau
Potentially great character that got robbed of his own story arc during the Battle of Winterfell.
the Jon chapters in book 1 are unironically the best part of the story. He was angsty but relatable. He got put in his place often and also showed true intellect and selflessness.
In general, the Nights Watch is George's greatest creation.
A good character with lots of story potential, an earnest, well-meaning guy trying to make the best of bad situations, and whose character was ultimately fucking raped by bad writers for the show. He's not perfect, he's not the smartest or most talented guy out there, but he's the guy that shows up, the guy who tries and gives it his all. It's admirable.

Then you see how tall he his
Love him in the books, his chapters are a fucking roller coaster as he tries to decide what the fuck to do with his life.
I like but don't love him in the show. I feel like Kit isn't the best fit for him, his accent makes him sound really stupid.
The level of willful misunderstanding here is simply amazing.
Weren't you subverted mate ?
this, don't watch the show though
it's been years since I read the books but he was my favorite character the Watch stuff was generally more interesting than the rest of what was going on
