>The film follows Cecilia (Moss), who receives the news of her abusive ex-boyfriend’s suicide. She begins to re-build her life for the better. However, her sense of reality is put into question when she begins to suspect her deceased lover is not actually dead.
Take "The Invisible Man" and turn it into another ghost story #3495....and it could be a nice techno-horror in "Upgrade" style.
This movie will make you miss Alex Kurtzman's Dark Universe, mark my words.
>This movie will make you miss Alex Kurtzman's Dark Universe, mark my words. >implying I gave a shit about any Universal Monster remakes in the first place I'll just stick with watching the originals every October, thank you very much.
>IN THEATERS THIS SUMMER, THE MOVIE SENSATION THAT’S SWEEPING THE NATION >DANGEROUS MAN WHEN THIS STRONG WOMAN’S ABUSIVE MALE FIGURE IS OUT TO GET HER, SHE MUST DEFEND HERSELF. WITH THE HELP OF HER DASHING NEW LOVE INTEREST, THE WOMAN WILL USE ALL OF HER WITS AND WILES TO DEFEAT HER MASCULINE ENEMY.
>This movie will make you miss Alex Kurtzman's Dark Universe Impossible, Kurtzman is one of the biggest hacks in Hollywood.
Matthew Moore
Why'd she wait until he died to start rebuilding her life?
David Hill
Women who leave abusive lovers often put their life on hold to see if their abusive lover tries to get them back. Their world is dominated by anticipating the drama of such a thing.
Jonathan Turner
Because women are strong.
Jeremiah Wood
oh fuck off Blumhouse, that sounds fucking retarded. why can't they do the original story?
Logan Stewart
This is the best possible decision and the best movies weren't crossovers in fact this is where they got pretty bad.
Lincoln Richardson
The original Invisible Man is so great, there's no way they'll ever make another mischievous killer like that again
Brandon Adams
Will he be buttfucked to death by Mr.Hyde ?
Oliver Clark
he kills like a thousand people in the original
Cameron Campbell
In what, the book? I haven't read it.
Gabriel Barnes
Maybe hundreds unless he destroyed more than one train.
Nathaniel Martinez
OP here. That's my point, they should make him a maniac, not a stalking boyfriend. In the movie he kills people just for fun. Me neither but in the movie he derailed whole fucking train, probably the highest kill count out of all Universal Monsters.
Blum is turning it into shitty ghost stroy. This movie should be like "The Dark Knight" but with lower budget and from Joker's perspective.
I think is talking about the film. In the book, Griffin doesn't cause anywhere near as much destruction. He fucks with people and kills at least one person but he doesn't derail a train.
Nathan Wright
Did they defeat Thanos? Didn't watch the last one.
Angel Mitchell
The book is worth a read. It's almost as good as James Whale's film.
Matthew King
Will add it to my list. At the moment I'm in the middle of Frankenstein. Already finished mummy novel (Jewel of Seven Stars ??) and Dracula is waiting on my shelf.
Which monsters left? Jekyll/Hyde, Phantom of Opera and that's it?
Adrian Ross
The early 2020s is going to be the era of mostly bad H.G. Wells adaptations, believe me.
Jacob Thompson
I see you're a man of great taste as well.
Colton Bell
Tell me this. Why should I care about a woman and her ex-boyfriend issues? Who is this film targeted for?
Joseph Wright
Oh, damn I couldn't even finish Frankenstein. But it was required reading during my studies and that's never inviting. Dracula on the other hand was great it's surprising how enjoyable those classics can be. But stay away from the "official" continuation by Stoker's descendant. It shits on the message and legacy of Bram's novel. There was some old book about The Wolf-Man but it's some commie shit. I don't know how they managed that in a book about fantastical creatures.
Kayden Powell
It's for (you), here you go
Gavin Taylor
just noticed that Bram Stoker is the author of that mummy novel too
Nicholas Flores
for plebs, they want something easy to understand. what makes horror scarier is getting the audience to think about the likelihood of it happening in real life
Christian Reed
Was the screenplay written by a woman? why else would somebody have the chance to show the mayhem and chaos that an invisible man could create on screen and instead make him infatuated with a woman?
Noah King
Look up the book Conjure Wife
Joseph Jones
That's the point. It was the guy who wrote scripts for "Saw" and "Upgrade" - they were cool techology based horrors/thrillers, perfect choice for "The Invisible Man". Meanwhile this shit sounds like the most generic ghost story ever.
Dylan Murphy
Unless he makes it into a movie like The Entity
Wyatt Morris
I really hope you die a horrible death.
Camden Ramirez
this is interesting though
Levi Reed
>The Mummy takes a lot from the original 1932 movie, adding a little twist and a bit of spectacle "Reeeeee they do not respect monster's legacy, give it to Blumhouse!" >Blumhouse drops Invisible Man's killing spree for a shitty roastie story about overcoming her ex-boyfriend Yeah this this time monster's legacy is totally respected, good job. Retards.
Make sure you read the Mireille Ribiere translation of The Phantom of the Opera that Penguin Classics put out. All of the older English translations left out a lot of material that was in the original French version of Gaston Leroux's novel.
Owen Lee
>Directed by John Carpenter.
No fucking shit? Is it watchable?
Levi Howard
Robert Louis Stevenson's Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde really holds up; read it after you're finished with Frankenstein. Then check out The Invisible Man and The Phantom of the Opera.
Dominic Barnes
Why the fuck should anyone care what a mass-replying retard like you thinks?
Ian Brown
It's watchable, but it's one of his worst films.
Carson Lopez
Don't give Hollywood any ideas.
Landon Green
Where's all that chaos and madness? He should terrorize people, not stalk his ex. What a bullshit.
Landon Davis
kek
Gabriel Baker
youtube.com/watch?v=hYkr_pLkTCk There was a pinball machine based off the Universal monsters. Called Monster Bash. They couldn't get the rights to Monster Mash. And it was a great pin. Objectively the 3rd best pinball machine of all time.
