Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster
Literally none of them
Godzilla 1954
Excellent.
The one before it obviously
1954
2014
Godzilla v Biollante
Godzilla v King Ghidorah
Shin Godzilla
Kong Skull Island
Original 154 Godzilla (not the gay murican edit where they put some faggot newspaper guy, the REAL original)
*1954*
final wars is the best one.
1998 because it's the best one
Bambi meets Godzilla
youtu.be
Godzilla (2014) and Kong Skull Island for the current Monsterverse.
Gojira, Godzilla be Mothra, Rodan, and Ghidorah, the Three Headed Monster to get a better grip of Ghidorah.
For fun? Godzilla Final Wars, Godzilla vs Megalon, and Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla (the old one)
Bought my Imax tickets today. What is everyone’s hopes and expectations?
Terror of Mechagodzilla is a great follow up
Checked.
Godzilla King of the Monsters is a sequel to the 2014 Legendary release, so that.
Godzilla (1954) is mandatory.
GMK is fun but has nothing in common with the rest of the movies.
>the titans
I fucking cringe when they call them that. maybe its the delivery idk but it sounds soo fucking childish
The 1954 original and Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla are the best ones, the 2014 movie is the film that precedes the upcoming film.
The problem is there's really no good english word for them. Monsters lacks the grand stature the title should have. Kaiju would invite too many retards who think Pacific Rim invented the word into the conversation. Gods would be TOO on the nose.
Japanese ones. No dub it's not even a question you gotta sub them all.
The original then Mothra vs. Godzilla then maybe from maybe a couple movies from second and third series here and there. James Rolfe may be right Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah and the two Mechagodzilla movies are fine for newcomers.
No one is stupid enough to think Pacific Rim invented anything
You haven't spoken to the same retards I have then.
Monster fights look cool, human characters look annoying as fuck. Typical Godzilla.

Great choice and taste.
The worst part of this new movie will be people talking about why the monsters are fighting.
Any early reviews or impressions? Theres an early screening today in LA. Believe there was one yesterday, too
I rented it so often at the video store when I was a kid I burned out the film and the manager gave me a copy for my birthday.
There was one interview on youtube. Apparently rather positive but the video was pulled down due to responses from the fandom. Again weird because the interviewed guy apparently liked it.
Yeah I skipped the Monstrosities review too. I'd rather just wait and see, even with positive buzz.
Weird how they pulled it though, agreed.
That is wholesome. Great story.
1954
Godzilla vs. Mothra '64
Ghidorah the Three Headed Monster
Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla '74
2014
Skip '91 G vs KG, it's terrible and anyone who recommends it is bad and wrong
You don't need any movies with Rodan as a focus because honestly the series has been unfair and unkind to him forever, this will be the first movie that looks to do him justice
G vs. Mecha is just for thematic reasons, as they look to be borrowing some scenery from it for this one
2014 for continuity and because it's the best in the series
That’s good to hear. I’m really hoping this does well critically.
I don't get why everyone hates Final Wars, it's just pure stupidity, which makes it great. Even when it focuses on the humans, there's still some sort of action going on instead of people just standing around and talking for most of it.
People like it better now. Around 2004/05 when I was getting into the fandom as we know it it was usually at the bottom of peoples list. Very unfair and I always thought it would be dishonest of me to think it was worse than Destroy All Monsters. Both movies have lots of monsters, good music, not so great plot and is generally style over substance.
Godzilla 2014 is the only one in the same continuity, but honestly even that isn't required
Social media embargo has been lifted, reactions positive. Comfy /kaijukino/ inbound
Also an early screening tonight in LA so expect more reactions soon
20 MORE DAYS LADS!!!!!!
AAAAGHHHHHH
Blessings to all you GMen out there. I cannot wait for this movie
All of them. Watch all of them.
>SPLASH FIGHT
Kino
Kaiju Kino incoming
I want awe-inspiring destruction porn with fuckhuge monsters and I have every reason to believe I'm going to get it. I wouldn't even be mad if the dialogue was in its entirety just various combinations of:
>SKREEEEEONK
>HSSSSSSSSSS
>SCHREEEEEEEE
>VOOVOOOVOOO
I'm so fucking excited.
I would watch them all but...
The original
Mothra vs Godzilla
Ghidorah the three headed monster
Godzilla vs Monster Zero
Godzilla 2014
Based and Zillapilled.
Oh crap it comes from a fanboy of both Star Wars and MCU?
Fuck yes!
shin godzilla is unironically the best godzilla movie and probably always will be.
youtube.com
Gonna celebrate it now with this short tribute from the guy who worked on the effects of Shin Godzilla.
Just like how in 2014 I watched the original right before I went to the cinema this time I think I'm gonna watch Ghidorah. And maybe Godzilla 2014 for good measure.
>dat proton beam scene
It will be with me forever.
I love it, but, nah
Too much pulp
Love it. Thanks for sharing.
There is no way king kong can or should be able to fight Godzilla.
before Shin Godzilla came out, I watched every Godzilla movie ever released in 2 weeks.
You should do that. It was pretty damn fun.
Some new kino posters incoming
I was a Godzilla fan for years before I watched 90% of his movies. Times were tough what can I say. Then I managed to do just. One good torrent and I watched them one by one I was on a marathon spree. I don't think I can repeat this feat especially now that I watch other new movies for the first time. But I recommend it, because there's no easier way to rank these movies in order if you ever wanted to do that. Somehow it doesn't work that well if you take longer breaks between the movies.
>55 million opening
AHAHAHAHA OH NO NO NO NO
FLOPZILLA
This one have one of best humans arcs in series.
What a perfect weekend. Good news everywhere even if we kind of felt it was going to be really good because followed the production and the behind the scenes closely it's a joy to read.
Glad to know we're in for a treat
Jurassic Park
The real question is dolby atmos or imax
IMAX
They have a special deal with Legendary movies and really go the extra mile to optimize, 2014 in IMAX was a fucking treat
Still the best theatre experience I've ever had
Find out if Avengers still doesn't hoard all the best screens for itself for the entire next month,
>Godzilla vs Monster Zero
Based. Has a great story, characters, and music. It's one of the best-shot Godzilla films, too.
It's tough cause normally dolby atmos is an overall more satisfying movie experience in my opinion. But I got IMAX tickets for this one just because.
Shin Godzilla is my personal favrite.
I made a webm of the proton beam scene, and the song Who will Know (tragedy).
I have to cross post because it has audio.
he's a big guy (around the waist)
what is he is a she
I haven't been this hyped for a movie in forever.
Favorite pre-Heisei Godzilla suit
Why do Godzilla fans love to pretend this is a good movie but complain about Shin?
I'm not a Godzilla fan, user. Frankly Godzilla fans are on a lower rung than capeshitters and fag/got/s
Alita Battle Angel, Shin Godzilla, and Mad Max Fury Road were the movies I was most hyped for in recent years.
It's just a giant middle finger to pretentious shitheads that only like Shin for being "deep and relevant" and don't care about Godzilla beyond being a mouthpiece for Anno. Nobody thinks Sea Monster was great, but it was fun and goddamn it not every movie needs to be a political commentary that wants to be "art"
Have sex
Here's your (you), but frankly I'm fresh out for the month after this, so fuck off to other threads now.
>5 years have come and gone
>we’re finally getting a high budget movie with Rodan, Ghidorah, and Mothra
>it’s made by a Godzilla fan
>embargo impressions are all positive
>trailers have all been kino
>this could be the one movie to break the cape shit cycle
What’s the catch
That won't make enough money to foster further movies past Kong vs. Zilla because general audiences are bullshit fucks
That it will never get any better.
the baby is mine
At the moment it's set to flop or at best break even.
Honestly this. Normies don’t like Godzilla.
>source: my ass
Godzilla (2014)

Both G14 and Kong beat the estimated box office. If Kong hit 600m I’m sure this will do at least 700m

This sounds like putrid garbage.
Only dubshitters and newfags care about dubs.
Looks kino tho, can't wait to pirate it until the studio goes bankrupt. Day 1 pirate IMO.
Fuck yeah. Have fun.
The original, obviously.
At least you're watching it you dumb fuck
Sea Monster is a simple, earnest, and entertaining kaiju film. Shin Godzilla is a pretentious, overstuffed and dishonest piece of shit held up by weebs and Anno's blind fanboys.
>"See I have proof it'll only make $50 million!"
>no sources
Seething disneyfag detected.
> overstuffed
I thought it was pretty straightforward and tight
> dishonest
How
Anno made a huge point about how it's an allegory for Fukushima. In the film the United States is responsible for Godzilla's creation, despite Japan being solely responsible for the Fukushima meltdown.
You misunderstood the movie. Shin Godzilla is about more than Fukushima. It's about Japan's place in the world and it uses Fukushima as a starting point for that discussion. But the US was responsible for Godzilla since 1954. Shin Godzilla is also probably the best written Godzilla movie.
Pretty sure the US had nothing to do with the creation of it, and merely had a small role in covering up vital information that Goro Maki was working on at the behest of the Japanese government.
I think you're reading too much into it.
so what would you prefer?
>liking shin godzilla
Only good thing was Godzilla hinself, everything else is as terrible as son of godzilla
>terrible as son of godzilla
>terrible
I am alone in liking that movie. (Favorite)
>Shinfaggots
Your opinions are less than worthless, how about you get sone actual taste instead of sucking off a mediocre political "commentary"
Son of Godzilla is better than Godzilla vs King Ghidorah, Godzilla vs Mothra 1992, and Godzilla vs SpaceGodzilla. And you're cinematically illiterate if you think Shin Godzilla isn't technically and narratively above most Godzilla films. You don't have to like the film but come on.
You get angry over movies, this is humorous to me and my ilk. My brothers laugh at you.
>And you're cinematically illiterate if you think Shin Godzilla isn't technically and narratively above most Godzilla films
>i-its better than a crystal methzilla and guys not hiding wires!
It's still shit, if it has worse special effects than the 1954 original or even VS megaguirus, then your film is still in the bottom of the shitpile
>it has worse special effects than the 1954 original or even VS megaguirus
Meme opinion. Shin Godzilla's effects for 2016 are comparable to what Gojira had for its time.
Except for the people who like pacific rim
This is the same person who hates 2014 gaijin godzilla for the same reason he loves shin. Jap lovers are beyond saving.
Then let them be wrong? What's the problem?
I remember the cocept word they used to descrive them was megafauna, I quite liked that term and was kinda surprised they changed it
The average american reads at an 8th grade level so megafauna is out of the question.
I don’t know who this is but he looks like a bizarre mix of Woody Harrelson and Elijah Wood
I once knew a guy named David who at 20 years old legit thought megafauna meant a baby deer that was bigger than normal.
>imagine being this guy.
Because it is a bizarre mix of Woody Harrelson and Elijah Wood
The only thing bad about Shin was how they ultimately killed Godzilla, very anticlimactic imo.
Also the hot girls English...
I've talked to basically everyone in my social circles; friends, family, co-workers, about what movies they are looking forward to this summer. Not a single person said Godzilla, shit, the vast majority of them have never even seen it marketed. Because it's such an old franchise, they can shake the image of it being "cheesy and lame". Ironically, they are all the type who eat up Star Wars, capeshit, Pacific Rim, etc.
My only desire is for them to break the stigma Godzilla has right now of being low budget and poor quality
Hopefully they don't crank the Darkness to 90% this time. It's unbelievable how bad they fucked 2014's BD. It's almost as if they wanted to bury it, it HAD to be intentional if it's that bad.
Lmao

Tell her about Mothra. Bitches love Mothra.
Tell her it's the feel good movie of the year according to most critics. Because it feels damn good to see Godzilla throw down.
son of godzilla
It's really weird that I'm looking forward to John Wick 3 and Godzilla more than Avengers: Endgame.
Initial audience reactions trickling out of tonight’s screening
instagram.com
Hardcore fan so definite bias but even so
>King Ghidorah on the big screen for the first time in decades
>true Godzilla fan
King Ghidorah was on the big screen less than a year ago.
I think he meant all of them together in a movie
GMK
Don't watch any of the American films because they're total garbage.
King Kong has:
A. Lightning powers
B. Trees
Is Vs Biollante actually good or am I being memed because we all love that plant monster so much? I remember liking it a lot when I was 10 but doesn't it only have 2 brief shitty fights?
For me it's Godzilla vs Destroyah
Godzilla vs Biollante is the template for the rest of the Heisei movies. But it's better written, better executed, and a lot more serious than what followed. In short, closer to a legitimate film. So that might not be to your liking if you only care about monsters fighting each other, which is what the movies after it concern themselves with the most at the cost of everything else.
>more serious
I seem to remember a lot of time is spent on that stupid fucking flying ship and the dumb bad guy assassin who dies via massive laser land mine.
Shin
Gojira (NOT the American version)
2014 (obviously)
The 60s Godzilla vs Mothra
Rodan
Mothra

Vs Biolante
Grand all monster attack
That was a Buster Beam, an older Gainax reference than Evangelion
Believe it or not, that's pretty grounded for the Heisei series.
Greatest Godzilla movie of them all.
you'll never get a single answer to this question.
Rate my list fellas.
Watch these, and my insane Predators parody that shows how they stole a plot-line from King Kong vs Godzilla.
trip fags are the worst
It's magnificent.
- Very sleek modern feel to it (84 had this also)
- Great city sets
- Great score
- The film picks up hours after G1984 adding to it's authenticity.
- Love the military actually strategizing and planning and the film delving into them having contingency plans should Godzilla return.
- I like the corporate espionage sub plot, it touches on real world concerns like bio weapons and genetic engendering like the original/smog/shin but its not preachy.
- Godzilla's suit is near perfect, GvsKG would make a few improvements but this is close enough.
- I love the moister they added to both Godzilla & Bio's suits, adds a layer of realism to them.
- Great serious/ominous tone.
- Biollante has one of the best origins for any Godzilla foe.
- Sherigami is one of the franchises best human characters.
- Miki Saegusa has a great introduction to the series with this film (they largely waste her after this until vsMG & Destroyah)
- They touch on the outlandish with Miki being psychic & Erika's spirit possessing Bio but it's never silly.
- I personally feel the dub is fine.
>I seem to remember a lot of time is spent on that stupid fucking flying ship and the dumb bad guy assassin who dies via massive laser land mine.
That's all played seriously.
The SuperX2 is a improved version of a weapon used in the previous film and it's weaponry for facing Godzilla is pretty smart.
It's ok but it has a pretty bad subplot about some foreign spy or assassin that is way too long. After Biollante is created she only stand in a lake waiting for Godzilla to come to her meanwhile Godzilla fights the military. It's like a couple movies in one I wouldn't recommend it to newcomers that's for sure it does some things that honestly perhaps you shouldn't do in movies.
No trip was used.
Pretty good. Personally, I think the original Godzilla is good and it’s a very important movie, but when it comes to how enjoyable it is compared to the other movies I would rank it as about a C.
>tfw I got my gf into Godzilla years ago
Our first movie date was actually the 2014 Godzilla movie
I will never be happy with it. I could put some of them in several tiers and some I need to rewatch. I'm only somewhat sure about the best/worst.
That movie confirmed my suspicions that women are not real. And I will be forever thankfull
They didn't kill him, just froze him. When the anime was anounced I was hoping for them to follow the Shin storyline but JUST
It's alright. At least it's not as boring as half of the heisei series
Yeah let him see the most misleading G movie ever before this one. It's gr8 but c'mon, it's closer to heisei Gamera or the Mothra movies than anything and Gidorah as the good guy still irks me.
Am I the only one that finds the Heisei era the worst one? Except "vs Mecha" and Destoroyah the rest just felt too bland
Showa > Millenium > Heisei
>tfw you find out the story behind Godzilla vs Hedorah and it's director
Toho should at least remaster the original
In fact Son of Godzilla should go one tier higher.
Picture for ants
kek, why are you so obsesse with Son Of Godzilla? Or is it a new meme?
It's a decent Showa film, not the best but not the worst either.
Have they already turned Minila into a fetish or something?
C is decent for this shlock. At least it doesn't bore me like all other movies I put the lowest.
Mine is hyped for it. Sorry user
But yeah, try Mothra
all the Ultraman films and tv shows!
I think megafauna is too timid for a creature like Godzilla.
ill always find the man in a rubber suit films to be far superior to any of the CGI films
>not watching it with friends and family in IMAX in a theater that serves you food like a restaurant and paying for everyone's tab
>Heisei Mechagodzilla above any of the other Mechag movies
>Heisei Mechagodzilla anywhere near A tier
No.
YES. Finally a man of culture
I hope at the end of the movie they show humans are working on a secret anti-kaiju project AKA Mecha Godzilla
Yes
I did not enjoy the 2014 one. Almost fell asleep... but I took a Swedish exchange student to go see it and we fucked all night and the next day so I still have fond memories of it.
Hopefully this one is comparable to the sex with said Swedish exchange student...which was kino.
>I took a Swedish exchange student to go see it and we fucked all night and the next day
You like to be BLACKED, user?
>and because it's the best in the series
Your entire post has been discarded.
I think he meant Monsterverse itself, not the whole franchise. Otherwise it makes no sense.
There was a fan screening already. They must be pretty damn confident this far ahead. That’s some great news dudes!
Colonel Gondo is a cool dude
Why are Ameican Godzilla fags so disgusting and embarrassing?
I mean, if he means the Monsterverse it's still an opinion I disagree with but at least then it's not retarded. Normies and idiots love G14 even though it's smack dab in the most average of average in terms of quality.
This was 5 years ago. I think it wasnt that bad then. Im sure this girl has fucked many niggers since though
Also this was more of a TUSHY scenario if you catch my drift.
>feel ripped from the pages of a gnarly graphic novel
What?
American Godzilla needs to go on a diet.
>Neighbor gave my parents his once viewed copy of the 1998 one on VHS
>We've never interacted with the guy before or since, he just knew the family next door had a younger kid
>It became one of the three entries that got me into this series besides Godzilla's Revenge, vs Megalon, and the Fox Kids cartoon.
>Realized about 6 years later that people really fucking hated it before I even knew about Toho renaming its version to just Zilla and having a fanservice scene where it jobs hard to Finalgoji.
>Mfw realized the reason I got it was because my neighbor had buyer's remorse and a convenient dumping ground.
The anime is shit and you know it
As usual it's always the furfags (scalies in this case)
>tfw my Imax which was the biggest screen in the world, is still being upgraded cause of a new building
Fucking I just wanna see Godzilla in it, plus some repeat showing of Bladerunner 2077 and Dunkirk
Most problems people have with those movies come from either wrong expectations or misunderstanding them. They are fine. And, whether or not you like them, they still exist. No need to pretend otherwise.
feel free to go back to /m/
Urobutcher himself felt all three movies were wasted opportunities
Am I retarded for thinking 2014 Godzilla had the best roar. Cause I really like it.
I envy your naivete. there's lots of morons who think pacific rim is where kaiju originates from.
No, they suck balls. 1 was boring, 2 made no sense and 3 was decent at best.
Godzillas Revenge at least had a (bad) plot and (bad) characters besides de clip show, the anime was utter-shit.
Didn't know ppl paid to see that shit
>basing your marketing on 'FUCK THE CAPESHIT'
Completely agree, CGI misses the soul in those films.
You can tell they where having a blast filming the ending of Destroy All Monsters and it makes the movie better.
The WoW killer of the movie world
based and kino
The first one is no worse than Godzilla 1984. Political focus and a slow moving Godzilla.
>2 made no sense
Characters get rescued by natives. They discover MechaGodzilla City and determine it's their only chance to kill Godzilla. But they realize MechaGodzilla is worse than Godzilla, so they don't use it to kill Godzilla. Pretty simple.
Gojira (1954)
Rodan (1956)

Mothra vs Godzilla (1964)

Godzilla vs Mothra (1992)
Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monster All Out Attack (2001)
Godzilla (2014)
This has to be b8
You can't compare a movie that turned on a whole generation to Godzilla to a shitty half assed Netflix anime that couldn't decide if they wanted to go full-fan service or reinvent the wheel and sucked at both
Imagine being this much of a pathetic waste of breath
GvsMonsterZero
GvsSeaMonster
GvsMechaG(74)
G84
GvsBiollante
Absolutely based.
The American ones sure are at least.
>a movie that turned on a whole generation to Godzilla
Time for a reality check. 1984 is a mess. Tonally and technically. The hobo is completely out of place, the Godzilla scenes are a chore to sit through due to the miserable editing, the characters have nothing going for them, Nakano's special effects are very uneven, and the film loses its steam after it burns through its political drama (which is marred by bad foreign actors). It took five years to make another movie because it was a commercial disappointment and Toho didn't know how to follow it up. The Heisei movies didn't really get going until the 90s.
Shin Godzilla's cgi makes it impossible to watch
35 films, 65 years in the making
the cinematic event of a lifetime
>Post YFW Marvel goes downhill after Endgame and Kaiju kino replaces capeshit
>James is friends with Bear McCreary
>Likes SoaD
>Huge Godzilla fan
What role did he play in this?
-director didn't like Godzilla and wanted to focus on his shtick of ripping off The Matrix as much as he could
-also ripped off Independence Day, Return of the Jedi, and Dragonball Z
-in a 2-hour movie there was barely 20 minutes of ALL monster action, with Godzilla himself only having around 8
-the only monster fights that lasted longer than ten seconds were the four-way between Godzilla, Rodan, Anguirus, and King Shisa, and the fight between Godzilla and Monster X/Keizer Ghidorah
-several monsters have barely any screen time, especially Hedorah who just pops up out of nowhere to die in 5 seconds
Tell that to all the kids that grew up in the 80s and watched it on TV during that time and became fans (like me)
You seem to read a lot of wikipedia, but have no idea what you're talking about, the current Godzilla franchise would not exist if it wasn't because those kids that watched it every Saturday afternoon on cable grew up and became hardcore fans, or started making their own movies.
Godzilla 84 might have all those flaws you mentioned, but made G part of the pop-culture again.
NOW GET OFF MY LAWN!!
What goes through the minds of people who feel the need to act like this? Is it an infection picked up from Yea Forums? The lack of accountability allowing their true inner faggot to shine forth? Being truly so angry at other people liking things their brains snap?
I greatly disliked FW, but this track is great.
>G part of the pop-culture again
Not really. Godzilla already had a heavy presence on American television before 1984 and a new generation of American fans would have been produced without it thanks to the huge wave of products that came with the Sony film in the 1990s. And in Japan, there was already a wave of Godzilla nostalgia. It's what motivated Toho to make 1984 in the first place. But, back to the original topic, the anime films did exactly what they were meant to do. Explore the trappings of the Godzilla series from a different perspective. Including nods to previous movies doesn't mean it wanted to be full fanservice. You have every right to hate the anime movies. But the dishonesty and hypocrisy of detractors is tiresome.
Godzilla vs MUTOs, and Skull Island.
Lol godzilla will flop while avengers will be the highest grossing movie of all time. Bad marketing. Enjoy your dumb monster movie cuc ks
You really need to fuck off back to /m/. I swear to god I can tell you're that same pathetic faggot always white knighting the awful anime trilogy with a bunch of vague arguments devoid of substance, even the already insufferable /m/fags can't stand you anymore.
imagine only liking movies because of how much money the bring in
>That won't make enough money to foster further movies
Literally this. It's going to get great reviews but it will make fuck all money.
LET ME BE IN A GODDAMNED MOVIE ALREADY, MOTHER FUCK!
What the fuck is going on with all these Godzilla 2014 recommendations? You can just watch the 8 minute long compilation of all Godzilla's scenes and save yourself the other 2 hours of shitty acting and soap opera tier melodrama.
I literally say that about all movies, just watch the collections of space battle/war scenes/action scenes/etc and save yourself wasted time watching all the boring drama and talking.
Ironically the US 1985 version had better editing. Especially with the Godzilla vs Super X scenes
>But the dishonesty and hypocrisy of detractors is tiresome.
Wasn't just 80s kids, early 90s kids got to enjoy that film as well. Thanks to all the video tape rental stores.
>1990 kid
Then you're kind of missing out of the whole experience...
>vague arguments devoid of substance
"Urobutcher himself felt all three movies were wasted opportunities", "No, they suck balls", "The anime is shit".
ultrarefined kino
It's on record that every idea Urobuchi and the director wanted to do was cockblocked by Toho who vetoed all their ideas in both the second and final movies.
gigazine.net
Meanwhile, here's your cringeass Tohokingdom-tier post that even /m/ fags find laughable, that you have only double downed on this shit since the movie came out is even more laughable.
Good that you managed to enjoy the anime, but stop shit-talking about a movie that was a gateway drug to the big G for whole generation.
Now pls stop
Poor Bagan, they didn't even include him in the animes
Yup, Gojis first entrance in that movie was enough to make me a hardcore fan. It was really hard to find a decent VHS copy of any movie in the 90s thou, luckily the original 1954 was easy to find in "serious/arty" video stores that usually had Bergman and that stuff.
Kids nowadays have no idea how easy they have it...
shouldn't you be finding an old movie or tcv series to ruin, Ms. Kennedy?
You can find very nice quality bootlegs of the US and Japanese version of the film on a 2 disc DVD set. eBay has them
leaked screenshot from the Japanese edit of KOTM
1. That is not my post. So please stop whining about /m/.
2. There's nothing cringe about that post. Tho it could be better written.
3. A studio telling someone not to rely on monsters does not automatically make a movie bad. What even?
>That is not my post, btw everything they said agrees with me and is right
>only one person on the internet likes the anime movies
Keep digging
post more monster grils
>Studio interference to actually limit everything actually creative the director and writer wanted to do is GOOD!
the fucking lengths you keep going to to defend these movies that even the people who worked on them have written off as wasted potential says a lot pal, you can tip your fedora and keep up this pretentious attitude all you want, but the facts speak for themselves. You don't hire a guy like Butcher if you're gonna put a leash on him at every turn. At that point it's all just slimy marketing to have his name on in the credits.
I've got a bunch by that artist.
SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEoooooooooonnkk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every Godzilla movie had studio interference. But unless you know something I don't know, the one major rule the writer had to adhere to is keep the monsters in the background. Urobuchi normally writes human focused stories so he should have been the perfect match for Godzilla. And where in the article did he disown the trilogy?
Godzilla vs Chernobyl
>tfw that scene from 1984 movie where he rips out nuclear reactor from a powerplant and just stands there with with it wall eyed
He was eating
Yeah, he looked high
All of them in production order
Why did it have to be awful?
Director did like Godzilla, but only the wacky 70s ones.
>kick Del Toro off his own project
>Make a nobody black character the main protagonist
>Make comedic relief from previous film the main antagonist
>Kill off established character from previous film in the beginning of the film
You're asking what went wrong? Haha, was there anything right?
Oh I forgot the real shitty acting from everyone
>Make comedic relief from previous film the main antagonist
Haven't seen it, was it one of those two annoying scientists?
>Kill off established character from previous film in the beginning of the film
Who?
Niggers, literally niggers. They kicked out the white people to make their own movie but then proved they don't know shit about making giant robots cool.
