do girls really like guys with skills?
Watched this for just the second time the other day, after many years of thinking it was terrible. Turns out it was just memed to death by retarded high schoolers. This movie is really good and captures a very enjoyable feeling.
Bow to your sensei.
BOW TO YOUR SENSEI!
Grab my arm.
The other arm.
My other arm!
Now watch this, I’m just gonna break the wrist and walk away. Break the wrist and walk away.
Diedrich Bader is supremely underrated.
Is this Mormon kino?

It's the perfect movie
Bet you I could throw a football over them mountains... I bet you
My favorite thing about this movie is the aesthetic. It gives you mixed signals about what time period it's in. Everything is wood panelling, orange and brown, retro clothes. The music is terrible grandma keyboard and organ elevator music that fits it just perfect.
I'm really surprised how popular it was at the time. It seems like one of those movies that normies would hate and then 15 years later reddit would pickup and make a cult classic. It really did try something different
up until the mid-late 2000s small towns in the middle of nowhere like this really were 5+ years behind on everything
based Rex Kwon Do
funniest bit was when Napoleon phones Kip who is making a huge plate of nachos and cheese asking Kip to come and pick him up but Kip says “I’m kind of busy right now” eyeing his plate of chips lol
I live in Montana and there are still towns like this around.
Why would anyone date a guy who lives in a van and has no job
Comfy as fuck. I would kill for a Twin Peaks Napoleon Dynamite cross over
His character was so stupid it was sweet.
He's got the blurries from bigfoot.
he has skills
Since I grew up in a shitty little town, this movie comes the closest to portraying high school as I actually experienced it.
Check out Gentlemen Broncos. True kino.
>beaner character is mentally retarded
>his brothers are criminals
based and redpilled af
>when uncle rico whips kips steak at napoleons head
This movie is so kino
This is honestly one of the most disappointing movies i've ever seen
This was memed into kino status and you all know it
JANNY YOU FAT LARD COME GET SOME HOT POCKETS.
Honestly the first time I saw it I kept waiting for the funny part and it never came. I understand it more now, but yeah, it was memed heavily.
nah viral marketing was shit when this movie came out, it made some noise at some indie flick carnivals but outside of that it got popular via word of mouth
What the hell was his problem?
I lived in a fairly well-off suburb and Napoleon Dynamite is still the most accurate portrayal of American high school life that I've seen. I think a lot of the stuff in that movie is pretty universal.
Guaranteed some of you guys dress like Peter Pan here.
a cute.
EAT THE FOOOOD!!!
>AYO PETERMAN
Favorite Quote?
True it was also original, especially for the mainstream at the time.
Napoleon Dynamite : So, we're pretty much friends by now, right?
Pedro : Yes.
Napoleon Dynamite : So, you got my back and everything, right?
Pedro : What?
Napoleon Dynamite : Never mind.
So wholesome lol. I need to rewatch it, it's been popping up on my YouTube recs for some reason
Your mom goes to college
he has a job, he's a Tupperware salesman
Why in movies do Americans eat dinner during daylight or when they get right back from morning school? This has bugged me in like forever.
Around here we have breakfast at 6am, lunch by 12 pm and dinner by 6pm
>why do Americans X?

England and America are the only obsessed nations on 4chins. You should feel blessed.
>mfw some gringo faggot keeps picking on kids
This line inspired a generation.
In Spain they eat dinner at 10pm.
Nice dubs.
not seeing a lot of souls in that picture
even just reading this I heard it in his voice and still laughed
I grew up in the Midwest and watching this movie was like reliving my high school years all over again. The setting was not an exaggeration, everything we had around here was like a good five years behind, especially when it came to technology.
yes but cool ones
unironically yes.
>I see you’re drinking one percent. Is that cuz you think you’re fat?
Same thing where I lived in the middle of nowhere in Arizona. If someone fell into a coma in the mid to late 80s and woke up in my town they wouldn't notice anything different. Even most of the cars people drove, most of the clothing, almost all of it was still trapped in the 80s. One-horse towns are always a decade or two behind major cities. When you're growing up it feels like being trapped in time but you get older and realize there's a certain charm to towns like that.
Two chicks at the same time.
This film more than any other in history perfectly captures rural Idaho
It could be in the summer when the sun sets later. In some places, the sun doesn't set until around 8pm.
and what about kids coming back from school to eat dinner?
“I see you’re drinking two percent. You could be drinking whole if you want to.”
“ So uh who wants to eat Chimney-chain-gas next year? Not me!”
I don't think anyone does this.
