just when you thought you couldn't hate the guardian any more
Just when you thought you couldn't hate the guardian any more
Why do you post this shit to Yea Forums? Nobody cares what a virtue signalling newspaper thinks of Chernobyl.
>mfw I used to subscribe to the guardian
>first episode of the show
>wow wtf why aren't they answering my questions?
>confusing
>look at pic
>its a woman
Then maybe put down your fucking phone for a second you dumb cunt. This isnt rocket science.
what a terribly ugly woman
her head looks a thumb
Daily reminder fictional Mary Sue character appears in episode 2 and saves the day
That's a professionally done headshot, imagine what she'd look like in real life.
same as The Terror then
the comments rightfully tear her to pieces
>f*moid
Is Chernobyl joining the ranks of show vaginoids cannot comprehend along with Terror?
>watch chernobyl
>look it up
>it actual happened
>watch chernobyl
>look it up
>comrade putin on the RT says it never happened
>therefore it never actually happened
Also it‘s based on an actual event. What unanswered questions could this troglodyte possibly not have?
The Guardian used to be trustworthy.
She doesn't save the day, but she represents multiple women who helped deal with the disaster. Of course this means she'll be unbelievably perceptive.
But I was thinking, maybe they had to include her to prevent a freakout when everyone finds out what happens to the main female character.
critics watch the entire thing, there are review copies
sometimes they even get leaked
Do fucking critics ever judge the desires of their audience correctly?
why the reactor went bang when the boss said it couldn't
women will always be in a constant state of confusion
If a woman was in charge of a nuclear reactor, this wouldn't have happened
i'm british, this is an 8 here
true, imaginary reactors can't fail
She wrote something about how dramas aren't supposed to start with a mystery. The Guardian comment section totally turned on her for it and called for her firing. We're not the only ones to notice.
>show based on a real historical event
>WHY ARENT THEY EXPLAINING EVERYTHING AM I EXPECTED TO BE EDUCATED ON THE SUBJECT OR SOME SHIT
ew
Dumb quota lesbian.
you know reviewers and critics get to see the entire series, right?
maisie williams would be a 10 right?
Literally what killed the original twin peaks run.
yep David Lynch never wanted Cooper to find the killer of Laura Palmer but the producers forced him to do it
>shows women will never understand
Are you insulting the pearl of britain?
>It is – at least so far – a confusing sprawl for anyone not au fait with the details of the catastrophe itself, the workings of nuclear reactors generally, or with a very good eye for faces obscured by dust and smoke, and a knack for remembering complicated names drowned out by the sound of reactor cores exploding.
>The story is so unclear. At the plant, everyone is dressed indistinguishably in white uniforms, and any understanding of the situation the average viewer can glean is likely to come more from his or her knowledge of disaster-movie tropes than the action or dialogue here.
The only good article the guardian has ever made was when they gave 2049 five stars.
>confusing
Women should never have been taught to write
No of course not. She is a tragic example of the horrific aftereffects of Chernobil.
This cant be a real text. Sounds more like bot generated or adhs syndrom.
>t. Aristotle
How the fuck can one be this retarded? Is it literally a female thing?
They don't, reviews only saw the first 3 eps.
>Female reviewer
Why did you even click on this?
quality journalism right here bois
This is your brain on estrogen
that's a very subtle one
underrated
Because its posted doesnt mean that a himan wrote that.
Pretty sure there are only 3 episodes
this bitch should be sent to the infirmary. Clearly delusional.
5.
I remember xatching an old doc on Chernobyl. It was a poor fucker who found a nuclear rod in his backyard after the explosion. He didn't know what it was so he grabbed it and his entire hand melted and the other one is in a pretty awful shape although he didn't touch the rod with it. Also another doc showing how they sent workers to build some barrier underneath the reactor to prevent leakings. Of course their chances of survival was zero but they weren't aware.
>Even more kino than expected
Don't even care if there's a Mary Sue, this show is kino
I'd like to focus on one particular part:
>state apparatchik Valery Legasov
I want people to really contemplate this. Valery Legasov. State Apparatchik. Imagine how reckless you have to be to not give it a second thought before you write something like this. Really try to visualize this.
I want to like it too but your words don't make sense. How can it be good if it's bad?
Any chance of remembering the name of said doco?
>We know things are Worse Than They Seem because
Is that a freaking trope?
>They're not all wearing capeshit costumes and weed hoodies so I can't distinguish them
>Any chance of remembering the name of said doco?
Sorry I saw it a very very long time ago so I have no idea how to find it.
they were never the same after intelligence agencies raped their assholes repeatedly after releasing the Snowden document dump
based ukranian
Wrong one.
Why would I care what a bitch like that thinks? I literally never have a problem of charming and fucking bitches like her on the night I meet them, they're pretty easy and impressionable. Most of the time I look past them, because it's not exciting anymore.
>there is not enough niggers in it
Thats what she meant.
If there is a nigger its easier to remember different characters
>mfw I used to read the paper version every day and be part of their BTL/comment is free "community"
>tfw low key fascist now
When will people understand that the decline in population is the natural result of societal and demographical behaviors that stems from the state of the economy, of the world, of the increasingly grim turn of events everything is taking.
It's like you tell someone that his/her work amounts to nothing and yet you still expect him/her to smile and work at full capacity.
Even sandniggers who come to civilized country don't reproduce as much as they would normally. There is too much people piling on top of each other in the cities, the countryside is ignored and not attractive enough, people tend to become less and less tolerant of the neverending insistance about work to pay taxes/rent and their sanity degrades, there's too much entertainment that only acts as a makeshift solution against mental illnesses, and gratification becomes scarce.
The metal jaws and gears of the system are all too apparent to people, and it's depressing.
It's the cycle every civilization goes through.
>complicated names
Isn't that discriminatory?
>everyone is dressed indistinguishably in white uniforms
Isn't that criticism against collectivism? How on earth is she still employed by the guardian?
>everyone is dressed indistinguishably in white uniforms
is she actually retarded?
>Even sandniggers who come to civilized country don't reproduce as much as they would normally
Get a source for this and spam it on /pol/, if you really want people to understand.
The terror was shitty and homosexual
this one is even worse. Its all that boring the terror had without any monsters
how good is The Terror compared to this? i would like more media with similar themes
I don't think you understand. The Terror was absolute trash because of the monster. Only a reddit spacing woman would consider the monster to be the best part.
Neoliberal philosophies started out with a nice mindset about tolerance and economic productivity, but at its core it's always been about how people are pretty much all replaceable and nothing is really worth dying for.
A soulless societies creates soulless people that cheer at getting culturally and ethnically replaced because they're too weak to do anything about it and too dumb to be upset about it.
>similar themes
If a giant demon polar bear suddenly came ouf of the grounds of Chernobyl to eat all the scientists then it would have a similar theme.
Exactly. When the spanish conquered Peru, they made the Incas lives absolutely miserable and they went into extinction. I heard some historian say they went on a baby strike because they didn't want to have kids live like them. I believe no people goes on a baby strike. It was more like their practical living conditions didn't allow them to build families. i don't think it's something concious and volontary.
>watch american propaganda series
>lash out when someone doesn't like it
tfw she thinks whether or not the reactor exists is a mystery
Are you going to try and tell me how it wasn't real communism again?
I don't have friends like that
>hating a critic for not liking something you like
You are the reason cinema is dying you faggot
>it
I'm talking about the series, what are you talking about?
>hating a critic for being bad at their job
ftfy
did you not see the first ep?
>1986 actual happened
holy fug
>critic is bad for not liking a show
wew
>he thinks only muh capitalism and communism are subject to propaganda
yikes
WHEN can we get a rule for "no screenshots of scandal bait?"
>People are dressed in their uniforms at work
Also "no screenshots of tweets"
A bad but realistic story is stil bad
>critic is bad for giving dumb reasons for not liking a show
>yikes
faggot
Why shouldn't they be wearing their fucking uniforms? I can tell them apart.
Is this some nu age all white men rook same shit?
The problem is that /pol/'s biggest issues isn't as much the rate of reproduction of the people of non-white color as the actual importation of said people of different cultures, and they actually are right about it because it creates a clash of cultures, and because females like people that are diverse/more different and have a behavior more centered on building relations (it's within their primitive behavior, why do you think the egg chooses the spermatozoid that has the most different DNA material among them all, or why do you think it's a female thing to chat, to be hypersocial, to gossip, create rumors, etc.?). So the "minorities" are seen as more precious because the females get bored of their usual fellow mates.
I do not have any certainty about this, but I'm pretty sure exoticism has a much stronger impact on females than men, because while males tend to see different as people that invade their territories and put in peril their dominance over it, females see different as a way to increase their selection of mates they can choose from, with a much larger DNA range. It's an instinctive behavior that most of them are probably not even aware of.
exactly they all look like disposable suits too so you know they dont take radioactive dust home with them
They don't reproduce as much as they would normally, but they still reproduce more than native europeans generally while subsisting on state programs paid for by native europeans meant for Europeans.
The Terror is great, I'd have to wait and see more episodes of Chernobyl before properly comparing them, but both have absurdly engaging pilot episodes.
I didn't know the Guardian was hiring toddlers to write for them.
What the fuck? Did I see the same shit as this woman
How do you defend the polar bear doing literally impossible things? Like when it literally flies in to attack a tent or how it literally turns into a small invisible creature when it wants and a giant hulking bear at other times? Why is there a giant demon polar bear in a tv show depicting historical events? It's like rewriting dday but instead of anything that happened it was demons and wraiths fighting for the beach except that still sounds more interesting than anything from the terror.
>au fait
>At the plant, everyone is dressed indistinguishably in white uniforms
I thought commies would approve of this
mfw Chernobyl is based on a real event
It's not a polar bear, it's a demon created by Sedna. And the show was based on a book written before we knew what happened to the expedition.
It must be really awful having autism so bad you can't enjoy fiction. I truly pity you.
Wowzers so a flying supernatural demon polar bear kills off a crew of fags one by one assuming they don't light themselves on fire first because le crazy subversion right? Let's rewrite Rome except this time it fell due to a curse and nothing at all interesting. Go back to
Melons?
>SPREADING DISINFORMATION
ARE YOU STUPID COMRADE?
CHERNOBYL WAS AN RBMK REAKTOR AND RMBK REAKTORS CAN'T EXPLODE
V. I. LENIN SAID SO
SEND THIS FROG TO ROOF, SHOOT HIS DOG, THEN TAKE BOTH TO INFIRMARY
I'd like to thank Tuunbaq for killing this shit talker and submitting the partial post he wrote, very considerate.
>he knows the bear's name
YIKES
vnimaniye, vnimaniye!!!!
>He's criticising a show he hasn't actually watched
I'd assumed as much but thanks for the confirmation, fag.
>If a giant demon polar bear suddenly came ouf of the grounds of Chernobyl to eat all the scientists
can it shoot lazers from its eyes too because that'd be fucking epic
What is it then? Some deep lore where it's an eskimo god or some shit? I stopped watching when the bear literally flew in from the sky to attack the man in the tent and then the filming was done by a 6 year old who didn't know where to point the camera when Ceaser died. It was all just done so poorly then I look up the ending and some faggot is cutting his tongue out only to get eaten anyway and the supernatural bear dies from choking on him? This is Game of Thrones tier bad.
>the show has left me with so many unanswered questions
>episode one
Because it's based on a novel you retard. How are you supposed to depict a historical event at which you can only guess what actually happened?
Only a woman could've wrote this
>i guess they all died to a demon polar bear
My first guess would have been thirst and starvation but a demon polar bear showing up because they accidentally shot an eskimo with the power to call upon demons. That really should have been my first guess too. I hear the Zodiac wasn't actually a person either, it was a shadow demon named Stannis.
>The Guardian used to be trustworthy.
lmao what the fuck, thats a lie
I buy the Guardian everyday from waitrose (Free with my waitrose card) the guardian is probably the best newspaper in the Uk. At least it tries to be impartial...
To be fair a lot of comments on the site itself are giving her shit. Bad review is bad. EOT.
>Amid the depicted and narrative chaos, which involves repeated “reveals” of the shattered core – it looks like a nuclear apocalypse in there! – we glean that opening the plant’s water valves will kill the men who do it, but will save the lives of millions. I assume that it will do this by averting something worse than a nuclear reactor’s core exploding and scattering itself over a wide area, but what this is I am not sure.
>but what this is I am not sure.
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
The comment section is still quite sane. They tend to call the authors for the shit they write, to the point that they once wrote an article expressing their butthurt.
>the guardian is probably the best newspaper in the Uk
The tragedy is you are probably right.
In the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king
ARE YOU STUPID COMRADE?
ITS THE CURRENT YEAR AND WOMEN ARE THE STRONGEST MOST POWERFUL AND SMARTEST

1. Where are the stalkers, monolith, mercs, spetsnaz, duty and freedom
2. Where are the artifacts and anomalies
3. where are all the mutants and zombies
FUCKING WHITE UNIFORMS
Is this the same writer who said Age of Ultron was basically about why white men shouldn't be listened to?
Happens fairly often these days
What fucking brainlet doesn't know the general story of Chernobyl?
>women can do everything men can
It's disgraceful, removing all those strong Uniforms of Colour that were essential to the Soviet Union.
3.6 episodes
People have been killed for less.
>At the plant, everyone is dressed indistinguishably in white uniforms
All wh*te people look the same. Needs more women and minorities and brightly-coloured uniforms styled by Prada to make it less confusing.
