I thought decapitation was banned in Japan? Jap version of RE 2 Remake doesn't have any.

that's fucking awesome, where can I see more? are they all like this??

Holy shit did you see that dude pucnhing right through him. FUCK how strong is masketta guy?

That’s from Ultraman Ace, which I believe is notably more violent than some of its contemporaries. Still, the Ultra series has a lot of surprise violence at times. Ultra Seven’s signature move is decaptating people with a thrown blade from his head.

Based Eiji Tsuburaya for creating the chadest Kaiju & Alien show.

Now, one Hollywood budgeted Ultra-Kino please.

I remember watching one of these when I was young and the guy got frozen by a yeti and being torn apart (out of shot but it cuts to his head being tossed away)
I don't even remember how it ended but he definitely survived somehow

I didn't know Ultraman was like this
time to watch Ultraman

I mean I'm no doctor but that doesn't even seem possible with cartilage and bones

Be careful what you wish for because that's how we get Will Smith Ultraman

I really want to see Keanu Reeves as an Ultraman.

If you guys really want to see violence, check out Redman. That guy is a straight up psychopath.

Attached: Redman Red Arrow Stab.webm (626x480, 2.8M)

Will Smith might actually not be the worst choice since he's a fan of the original. They'd probably turn it into a comedy, though.

Personally, I don't really trust Hollywood with remakes of Japanese properties. They're almost never better than the original and range from "ok" to "absolute dogshit".

Why does it look so much like Power Rangers?
Was there any Japanese involvement in the original Power Rangers? Or at least some Japanese influence?

>Was there any Japanese involvement in the original Power Rangers?

That's gotta hurt

Tokusatsu cinematography is really underrated man

The 1980s stuff had some supreme aesthetics, especially the use of matte paintings

>major hollywood movie beloved the world over
Be real with yourselves, which one do you think ripped off the other then? Don't let your weeby blinders obscure the truth from yourselves.

Japan is so awesome, the majority of my favorite things come from there

I didn't know Tsuburaya could time travel

>it's a Yea Forumsmblr tranny

Forgot backwards time universe is actually something you mentally ill freaks believe

They always linger on the dying kaiju, as their life slowly drains away.
They never showed that in power rangers, the monsters just get slashed and immediately explode.

We could use more of that and less LGBT tranny propaganda in our children's programming.

Reminder that Japs are even bigger incels
Reminder that Japs have low birthrates
Reminder that Japs have high suicide rates
Wonder why?

High IQ society desu

Capitalism.

Societal pressure that would make any normal man crumble.

because they're smart and remove themselves from society when they find out they're useless

stop retardery, you're embarrassing yourself

Because of guilt user. The last time they become chad baby boomer they actually carve a little empire in the east.

They have high suicide rate back then too, but with more explosion

>noone has posted THAT jav code yet

Gen Z has truly ruined this forum

Ultraman7 fuck yeah!!!!!

Power Rangers is a re-cut / dub / mash-up of a couple of Japanese shows. Anytime the rangers are in suits / the megazord those are japanese people from a much older show. Only the non-suit portions were original.

Stream that film if you're so great

nice conspiracy theory, but more likely that the japs copied the power rangers from the US, not the other way around.
it was ser at an american high school lol

Power Rangers censored a lot, but you'd be surprised how dark the original show can get. There's an episode about a child abducting monster that straight up goes into horror movie territory.

Attached: ohranger.webm (532x400, 2.26M)

The monster later tries to kill the Pink Ranger with a machete and taunts her that she's going to end up like her dead friend.

Attached: ohranger2.webm (634x478, 2.1M)

I still can't believe they actually referenced I Spit On Your Grave in one of those.

I think it's only if you're the one controlling the character. If it's a character in a show they could do it, or if in a cutscene someone gets decapitated where you're not in control

What would the Westernized name version of "Shin Hayata" even be?

Poor monsta, he dindu nothing.

Shaquel Harris

Ok experts tell me because I'm a bit too old for Ultraman. It was like that back when Eiji Tsuburaya was alive but I read that he was against violence and blood in Godzilla movies. Why did he allow such things in Ultraman?

The real morningfarm

Pic related was made after Eiji died

I believe Ishiro Honda was against violence, no Tsubaraya. Honda’s experiences in the war turned him into a pacifist. Though, the Ultra series got more violent after Tsubaraya’s death, I believe.

Whoever the original driving force was, Tsubaraya's death was the turning point because it was only after 1970 that you started seeing even so much as a little blood in Godzilla movies. Perhaps they considered Godzilla to be geared towards even younger children at the time?Violence in those movies certainly never came anything near to this Ultraman stuff that's been posted.

Tsuburaya hated blood in these movies because of the kids. He also liked making the movies more childish. Honda wasn't as passionate he only didn't like the changes to the series. It's from Honda's biography. And even when Tsuburaya was alive Ultraman was bloody, the book doesn't go in details and I haven't read any books about him but the only answer I think makes sense is if someone overruled him on the show.

>conspiracy theory
>He doesn't know about super sentai

Sean Harrison

Is that Ultraman anime worth watching?

Attached: 1551325712392.jpg (1023x719, 48K)

I mean, crap man. Look at that.
That's like his stomach plug on the ground back there.
You don't see that every day.
I mean, that.. that doesn't really even seem possible, if you think about it, with body organs, and cartilage, and bone.
I mean, I'm no doctor, but it was like one clean chunk...

I mean lore-wise, Ultraman have so many timeline, worlds and also ofc, a multiverse. If Ultraman will ever goes to Hollywood, what i expect is a whole new story taking place on its own world/universe just like many other Ultraman series. Build a new universe, not remaking an already existed stuff (except for nexus. go ahead remaking the ultra n project, i'll happily watch it)

I think it would work pretty great, given on how popular are stuff like cinematic universe nowadays.

Ohranger's not a great point of reference given they dropped the entire serious tone of the show after a terror attack. Shame, too, I dug the idea of a full season of counter-terrorism, at least something along the lines of Blue SWAT but good.

why are you surprised by some mild cartoonish violence?

>They're almost never better than the original and range from "ok" to "absolute dogshit".
Edge of Tomorrow

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend Ohranger as a whole to a beginner. It has some great episodes still, but also a lot of wasted potential and jumps around a lot in tone. But that particular episode is IMO one of the best in the franchise.

i wish Zone Fighter and Jet Jaguar were just one and the same, would make things cooler imo, since ZF is technically Showa canon

god I wish that were me

man you know those dudes are having a fucking blast in those suits

I'm jelly AF

What did nips mean by this?
