What happened to Lena Dunham's career?
She was a big deal a minute ago
GODDAMNIT I HATE MY LIFE I HATE MY LIFE I HATE MY LIFE ;_; I WISH WISH WISH I WOULD DIE IN MY SLEEP TONIGHT
Even the kikes can’t keep it up
No one ever liked her not even women
I remember women I worked with talking about how they should kill her off on her own TV show so they wouldn't have to look at her anymore
I think she was just too much for the goyim, which is saying something
She was NEVER a big deal. SJW cyberpublications (huffpost, buzzfeed, vox, etc) wrote article and listicle over and over about her and Girls but the show itself had shit ratings, more people watched Broad City than ever watched Girls
She’s fat, ugly, bitter and stupid. Femcel angst can’t carry anyone far in life.
This
>show is called Girls
>biggest star to emerge from it was male
Still looks big to me.
The combined power of the entire New York press couldn't shill this monster enough to trick people into liking her.
the way of the world
Her parents basically bought her career but she is so odious no one could keep up the charade of pretend ing to actually like her
White feminism was dealt a fatal blow when Donald the trump slayed the wicked beast hilldog the clinton.
Its going to be a few years before bashing rich white ladies goes mainstream though.
Then the age of women of color and white guys shitting on becky can commence
Many Hollywood stars achieve fame by selling their soul to the devil, but only Adam Driver was willing to fuck Lena Dunham for it.
That's next level ambition.
Her and amy schumer should get together and drive off a cliff
Can't wait for Phoebe Waller-Bridges to go the way of this hack
That's the way she goes. Sometimes she goes, sometimes it doesn't. She didn't go. It's way she goes.
I think I changed my mind on her. Tiny Furniture is an interesting work. Girls is inherently critical towards casual sex, urban bug relationships, millenial women (and men)
I think it's possible her greatest fans don't understand her work, and her enemies are just kneejerking it
Fucking hell she's such an eye sore. Ugly as a goddamn thumb and everything she wears seeks to accentuate how frumpy she is.
The first season of Girls is genuinely very good
all of the hype is warranted.
Why she hasn't really capitalized on it is the real question. Her last show, Camping, on HBO, for example, while i still did actually enjoy it, is a bit of a confused clusterfuck.
And SJW critics found Camping offensive.
I think she had a quasi-relatable experience when she was younger, but now her life is just totally alien to everyone and doesn't have any kind of grounding with reality. So the experiences she has to mine are all from the strange vapid world of the ultra liberal counter culture wealthy celebrity bubble and barely even make sense. Whereas her life pre-girls, was still privelaged and strange, but was actually relatable to many people
>I think it's possible her greatest fans don't understand her work, and her enemies are just kneejerking it
Extremely true except her greatest fans have caught up and now hate what she does.
Her greatest enemies don't even care about ideas, they just care about representation. Girls being an ensemble cast of liberal women makes it bad in their eyes. It's irellevant that the show is deeply critical of them.
Just like a show like The Terror being an ensemble cast of white men makes it automatically good, despite the show on the whole being a liberal critique of colonialism.
Ideas don't matter. It's solely about representation.
I can promise you that Lena believes all those nihilistic qualities are wonderful and then some. You're just seeing it for what it is being shallow and meaningless.
It reminds me of Mark Kermoede's scathing review of the Entourage movie where he flat out questions whether there are humans who think the idealized vapid Hollywood lifestyle is a lifestyle worth living. Well yes there are people who want to hang out in an overpriced nightclub drinking shitty Tequila and there are basic bitches who want to live in NYC and just mindlessly consume.
This. She couldn´t cope with the glamorous (freaky) hollywood enviroment. She wants to be part of a world that sees her as a curiosity and she alienated herself from everything that made her first works interesting. Whatever.
yeah I think lots of guys on places like this don't even KNOW how much the left got mad about her work. There were hundreds of articles about how Girls was "too white" and she basically responded by fucking a black republican and repeatedly saying (to the guy and to the audience) "this is what you wanted."
Not to mention the baloney brouhaha over her being a sex predator or whatever
wonderful why?
because it makes her happy? It doesn't.
She presents herself as deeply troubled and unhappy and her behaviour as largely destructive.
It's the same archetype as you'll get in most woody allen films. It's scathing self deprecation.

Thank you for holding back this time Yea Forums
It´s crystal clear that you want that webms posted.
dude stop spazzing out in this thread you retard. Girls was fucking awful and we are well aware that the left eat their own because they are morons
Every place is a bubble of its own.
The first season of Girls was good though
Have you even seen it?
She’s gonna be in the new Quentin Tarantino movie
People were getting sick of her before Girls ended (black women hate her even more than Yea Forums) and now that its been done for a while nobody cares.
user posted an interesting opinion.
>stop spazzing out
Talking about projecting.
I'm trying to have a conversation in a thread and you're getting mad because I'm not just posting "hate that fat whore" like every other thread for the last 5 years.
What happenes in S3 episode 5?
go to bed lena, maybe you can ask daddy to buy you another tv show and have your click bait journalist friends promote it some time in the future again
My sister has a book of hers, should i be worried?
What a load of confirmation bias bullshit.
is your sister good looking ?
Lena Dunham's life and career would have been completely different if she was good looking.
As much as I disliked the show girls I thought it seemed like a fairly accurate depiction of a certain type of women in New York.
Well am I wrong? What shows with a female cast do you like?
Better Things?
My Brilliant Friend?

Lena Dunham has a lot riding on 2016. Not only has she promised to move to Canada if Donald Trump is elected president but also released a video with her father on Thursday celebrating the end of white men.
“How are you feeling about the extinction of white men?” Dunham asked her father in the video.
“Well, white men are a problem,” her dad, Carroll Dunham, replied. “Straight white men are a big problem; that’s for sure. I actually feel really good about it. Straight white guys have been screwing things up for long enough. High time for straight white males to step back and let some other people do it.”
Dunham is overjoyed by her father’s response, saying enthusiastically “that’s my dad.”

Decent looking i would say, in global terms she's a 9 though since we're swedish. Just worried she's gonna ruin herself and her life if she buys into that ugly jewish propaganda.
I swear Girls is like a self-indulgent version of Sex & The City?
Like, where satc is all about women living a carefree life of luxury and glam with dream jobs and handsome suitors, Girls is the average entitled white thot living a life of drunken promiscuity on their parent's dime, with handsome suitors.
Sitcoms are for apes. If it makes you feel better, my favourite movie is American Honey, which has a female coming-of-age story.
her public persona appears vastly different from her art (especially her asinine advocacy) and it causes people to get an impression they might not have otherwise. I don't know if it's PR advice she's getting or what
Anyway, if a man made Girls I think it would have been called deeply misogynistic.
My Brilliant Friend is a period drama and Better Things is only really tangentially a sitcom and certainly not a typical 3 camera studio sitcom and those where really only examples
>none
ok got that
>b-but i like a movie which has a woman in it
wow
You should be pleased she has Lena Dunham's book. Dunham writes about molesting her sister. This could pave your way since you so obviously want to fuck yours.
She needs to read snippets like this during her morning free-trade coffee colonics. It's why she went nuts...
The twitter echo chamber cant last forever
>Anyway, if a man made Girls I think it would have been called deeply misogynistic.
What is your point? Why did you say that?
>her public persona
I could not care less
You are such a nasty feminist.
Just because they're introspective doesn't mean regretful for their actions.
Charles Bukowski was a miserable drunken son of a bitch, he achieved great fame by putting himself in a critical light. He still happily drank himself stupid to the end.
People know their bad tendencies, they keep them up because they know no other life and honestly they're content doing it. Check out Lena Dunham's Twitter particularly the time where she just started shitposting about drug fueled tantric orgasms. I'll admit she can be honest about herself but she's not gonna change. And ultimately I think she justifies her hollow existance because she's an "artist." Just like how Bukowski had to keep drinking whiskey to hold in that Bluebird.
American Honey is wholly about a woman's journey, you fucking moron, and a cast which is exclusively female rarely pans out. Monogendered media can work if they're about war or, on the flipside, lesbianism, but adults don't give a fuck about some women "struggling to make it" in Hollywood or some other garbage. Annihilation was good, though, but there was a sole male character so I guess that doesn't suit your goalpost-moving retardation.
I worry about the example Lena Dunham sets. Here's a women who publicly admitted to molesting her sister as a child. And her sister grew into the most stereotypical bulldyke imaginable. And she has faced zero consequences for it.
Not quite as bad as the Schumer debacle, but similar
>that graphic
that's actually sad
I wrote it because I believe her persona unfairly colors the opinions of people who claim to dislike her, and under different circumstances the trogs on this board would be calling girls BASED AND REDPILLED
she was like 5. Anyone who claims to have never done weird stuff as a child is a liar. This board is filled with people claiming to want to fuck their siblings, or bragging about how they did so, or fucking couches, or saving cumbottles, or whatever. I would encourage some eye mote removal
She started masturbating next to her sister on a regular basis when Lena was 16. That shit affects kids.
Ok sorry, I haven't seen American Honey so I don't know, I just assumed because you said it 'has a' female story, not 'is a' female story.
You literally get people in The Terror or Chernobyl or Band of Brothers threads saying those shows are good because the cast is all white men, and they wish more shows were like that too.
And those same people would never watch S1 Girls, or My Brilliant Friend, or Better Things, or Insecure, for the opposite reason. They couldn't stand to watch a show with an ensemble cast of women.
Do you really think that's not true? And having the odd male or female character doesn't disqualify any of these examples. Annihilation is an ensemble cast of women.
When I was 14 I jerked off on the top bunk bed when my brother was sleeping on the bed below and somehow I have not been executed for child molestation
She admitted masturbating in bed next to her sister when she was 17 (and her sister 11)
Maybe some of them. But I think many people here don't understand ideas at all.
Yeah, but she is a woman, so...
Having said that, how stupid has to be to publish such abhorrent things in a biography? How old is she anyway?
if prefer right to left, you do not belong here
Where you lying the same bed as your brother? Was your brother's back pressed into you? Did you have a history of inserting objects into your brother's sexual organs?
>implying that's a worthy comparison at all
Marines do what some men fear.
Reminder that Lena admitted that she would frequently not wear the special pads to cover your genitals during the sex scenes.
She's also a producer on the show.
She literally hired hot guys and then rubbed her sweaty vag all over them.
And? You think Adam Driver laments that? Girls propulsed his career. At least he knows how to work with a vag.
why do you cunts pretend to care about lena dunham molesting people lol
>despite the show on the whole being a liberal critique of colonialism.
I don't know about that. It's also about camaraderie in the face of the abyss and man's ingenuity in overcoming overwhelming odds.
I'll concede that there are examples of people shunning things because of representation. Sex and the City, which was a funny show, got a lot of shit for that. But the dislike for Girls is something based almost entirely on the smug public persona of its creator.
Annihilation is a movie that was received well on Yea Forums. There were a lot of troll posts about the protagonist fucking a black guy (which are often made by people who have a fetish for that), but people didn't have an issue with the ensemble cast. They bitched about the ending, they bitched about the premise but they didn't have a problem with the characters. And, as a heads up, people respond to the Terror or, say, Master and Commander because they celebrate traits seen as masculine. Duty, doggedness, honour, etc. The subject matter necessitates a male cast but it's the themes that people respond to. Few people see a group of men in film and immediately decide that they like it.
they're not mutually exclusive.
She was literally nuzzled up to her sister in the same bed.
Because she bandwagoned onto the #metoo stuff but she's more of an exploitative sleazebag than some of the people she criticized.
so it's basically about exposing hypocrasy about shit you don't care about so being a hypocrite?
Holding people to their own standards but not your own?
I'm just so fucking sick of you cunts crying about shit you don't actually care about, crying about hypocrisy and being hypocrites and crying about crybabies while shitting your pants and squeeling.
I don't jerk off around kids, user, I hope you don't think that's normal.
>I think I changed my mind on her
same here. Mostly because everyone hates her now. By the ancient laws of Yea Forums she is now to be conisdered based and redpilled.
It sets a bad double standard. We shouldn't reward molestors and sexual deviants. Especially in the #metoo era
>celebrate traits seen as masculine with subject matter that necessitates a male cast
Yeah i don't really see a real difference between that and what I said.
Annihalation is still masculine, sci-fi action genre with big stars and it still as you say, copped a lot of bullshit here.
Sex in the City is an absurdly dated and irellevant reference. Have you seen any of the shows I mentioned? Would you? Because maybe it's not you, but I know for sure, many cunts here would look over them and wouldn't even consider watching because women in the leads.
They are in the sense that the show "on the whole" was about what I referenced rather than colonialism. Although they did seem to lay it on a bit thick with that last shot, the ending scene always came across as hastily crafted to me. It wasn't really indicative of the show as a whole.
You're being disingenuous
How do you feel about Trump? He's a fucking degenerate and a sexual abuser. Do you give a shit?
Yes user. I actually hate Trump. He's a joke of a leader. Entertaining though. Surprisingly enough, not everyone here thinks the same thing
The clear message of the show is that the white explorers should not have gone there.
That they are fucking over the native people (inadvertantly chasing away their hunting, causing them hardship - kidnapping the woman which is wrong but vaguely morally justifiable, and hickey murdering them)
And that the native people, who a large number of the white men believe are 'savages' are more kind, and competent than they are.
The 'civilised' white men even realise their folly.
And the conclusion is that the most civilised one, rejects his own culture to live amongst them.
Themes of comraderie and mans ingenuity do not cancel out any of that.
And white supremacists championing the show because it has a white main cast are simply idiots who do not understand it.
>Yeah i don't really see a real difference between that and what I said.
You are mixing up correlation with causation. The Terror is a period drama about a ship, which means it needs a male cast. The Terror is also about duty in the face of despair, which is seen as masculine. People respond to the theme of duty, but I don't believe they need an all male cast in order to do so. I also believe that if that saw a female lead production with the same themes, they'd respond well to it. And Annihilation didn't cop a lot of bullshit by Yea Forums standards. It was discussed a lot, this means people liked it. Contrarians came out the woodwork, but that's standard. Sex and the City is a fine reference, because that was the last time a normal, Western man would fuck something off because it was full of women.
As for the things you mentioned, no, I wouldn't watch Better Things because I'm sick of elites self-aggrandising or portraying themselves as victims, which seems to be what it's about. I'd be happy if LA slid into the sea. My Brilliant Friend looks more interesting.
Admitting with enthusiasm that she molested her infant sister wasn't a great move. Feminist liberals didn't disown her because she represents them, but they had to distance themselves.
how old are you?
I am so sick of boomers
You cannot all die soon enough
but yeah watch My Brilliant Friend, it's really good. Easily the best thing HBO has done since The Leftovers. It gets better when they do a time skip and swap actors for the main cast too.
ålder?
Stop spouting meme shit, if I wasn't young I wouldn't be on this fucking website. I probably will watch My Brilliant Friend, it looks good. In return, you can watch the original Das Boot.
she was such an obnoxious cunt that even her SJW friends couldn't defend her anymore. that whole thing about the football player ignoring her was fucking surreal but what really did it was when she defended her male friend when he got #MeToo'd by a black chick even though she was on the "Believe Women No Matter What" camp.
i have already seen Das Boot so the debt is paid lol
and yeah it does get better when the characters age up
Please die
>sexual abuser
According to retards i guess
>a sexual abuser
According to who? Fat Feminists that are also compulsive liars?
Elisa is so fucking cute
>She was NEVER a big deal.
And still the intellectual dark web was seething
15
It's largely reactionary and so are you
it's like a feedback loop
just post the fucking webm and get it over with
Based patriarchy dabbing on womeme
She's Jewish, we get it.
This. She captured a kind of social context and culture others still don't know how to talk about except to make fun of "millenials" and "hipsters".
sneed
>What happened to Lena Dunham's career?
Writing about sexually abusing your underage sister didn't get her any fans.
Haha fucking based
The majority of IDW members have had millions more viewers and listeners EACH than Dunham has.
Even the Weinstein brothers.
They should get together and sit on my face and cock
he said he grabbed women by the pusy
if you don't care about that you probably dont care about lena dunham sticking marbles in her sisters vagina when she was a kid or whatever it was either, you're just pretending because you think it's clever.
"And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab 'em by the pussy. You can do anything."
People with fucked reading comprehensions are taking "I can do this" as "I did this" because well, they're fucking retarded.
yeah i really don't give a fuck but i make a point of not going around puritanically moralizing and crying about famous people in general
Women need to be raped. It is the only language they understand. Women enjoy rape. Don't let them tell you otherwise, because they are notorious liars and don't know their own minds. Women want to be held down and fucked hard. They want to be made to cry and scream.
Women have a biological imperative to be raped. Did you know that women who are raped are twice as likely to conceive as women who have unprotected consensual sex? It is a fact. Women who are raped often have orgasms as well - some women have never had an orgasm in their lives save for a rape. The desire to be sexually dominated is deeply programed into the woman. This is a fact of evolution that cannot be denied without women becoming unbalanced. Feminism is really just an outward manifestation of an internal problem with modern women. These 'feminists' desperately want to be put in their place. That's why they act out so much and are so belligerent. Whether they know it or not, subconsciously they want to piss men off and get men to make them submit. They want to be slapped in the face, told to shut the fuck up, and then raped until they can't stand up. This is what women really want.
I just threw up in my mouth
Didn't she like admit to molesting her little sister or some shit? Was that Dunham?
Ugh this!!! Fucking bigots need to get with times #sisterlove
When were you diagnosed with mental illness?
