Pic related, there's a mewtwo movie in the making. Amber is one of the most interesting elements of anime mewtwo and gives you a really big thing: A FEMALE LEAD. I doubt the mewtwo movie will be about anything else than his origin story, probably have blaine and mr fuji involved with amber2/3 trying to find him. The Red/Blue movie would then just focus on red (asian lead) and blue (white guy)

Is this the Detective Pikachu thread? I saw it earlier, the whole thing was pretty shit. The only thing I can praise are the Pokemon, which looked better than I expected. All the actors were terrible, none of the jokes landed, the story was predictable as fuck. Even Bill Nighy was shit, and I love Bill Nighy.

user, it's a mistery movie for kids. I believe they were too honest, it's campy and silly, but i think too many people were expecting a pokemon movie for grown ups, it's not fot us, but for fucking kids

Bingo. I'm a grown man and I wanted a grown up Pokemon movie, not this baby shit. I still enjoyed it, but it definitely felt like it was more for kids and not for me. Hopefully the next few are better.

It was actually pretty good. Feels like it goes too much at 200km/h though, let the spectator breath a little bit. Also the whole not-Instrumentalisation plot was a bit too much, but I had a good time. Nice references to the games and the anime, pervy Pikachu is perfect, the Pokémon actually feel real, I had my doubts but they pulled it off. Also Kino end credits.
