Why is that movie so good?
Also why are there litterally 0 movies in the same style? I mean no one came close
Why is that movie so good?
it's a shit movie doe
go back to raddit
This movie is beter
I still can't understand how the fuck Bruce Willis was in this movie, it seems completely out of character for him
>plays in big action movies
>plays in shitty 90s movies
>plays in shitty 00s movies
>makes ONE kino in-between
what the fuck
it's fun and all, but it's so overrated
It's a great movie and only contrarian kids hate on it.
No idea, he wasn't even considered during preparations
It's not. Fucking reddittors love jerking off that hack Tarantino.
>Michael Madsen as Vincent Vega
would have sucked desu
I don't have a problem with Bruce Willis in it, but just imagine Matt Dillon at Butch.
Two Says in the Valley was better.
>no rappers
wtf
*Days
He was basically trying everything back then, he was hot enough to get any part he wanted. Pulp Fiction gave him a lot of arthouse cred. He's been veering around genres the whole time, from going back to the Die Hard well, to showing up in the Ocean's 11 movies, and voicing a cartoon raccoon. I honestly think he's just bored, and has been a long time.
Beside, if you think Pulp Fiction is the only "kino" he's ever done, then you've never seen The Fifth Element, 12 Monkeys, Red, or Unbreakable.
And, you have to be 18 to post here.
hate reddit so much
problematic as fuck desu
>The Fifth Element, 12 Monkeys,
Mein Neger
>Beside, if you think Pulp Fiction is the only "kino" he's ever done, then you've never seen The Fifth Element, 12 Monkeys, Red, or Unbreakable.
Sir, I am a Letterboxd user and none of those films are considered nowhere near kino.
Michael and Virginia Madsen as Vincent and Mia would have been so fucking weird.
Some of his first choices are really bad. Lawrence Fishburne saying "The one that says bad motherfucker"...yeah, fucking no. Matt Dillon...maybe. John Cusack as Lance...no. Debra Winger as Mia, what the actual fuck, Quentin.
The Sixth Sense is good too
You're an under 18 tryhard, get the fuck back to the minecraft discords, kid.
Larry Fishburne "blacking it up" in King of New York was pretty cringey, I can only imagine that he'd be doing more of the same as Jules.
>Reddit likes the movie so that means I have to hate it.
Quit acting like Pulp Fiction isn't kino.
more like, why did he cast himself as "random guy that knows Jules" ?
Yeah, forgot that one. He was on a roll in the 90's. He made his career then, with a couple of real stinkers like Hudson Hawk, but he's more than made up for it. He's either bored these days, or just likes to keep busy. It's not like he needs the money.
>12 Monkeys is shit
you're right, i tried thingken and i can't come up with another one with a similar style
Seven Psychopaths is kinda fun in the same way, uhh
yeah it's pretty unique
I hate those movies that advertise him bigly and then he's just on screen for 10 minutes.
Truly a fascinating list of what-ifs here. Stand outs, Danny DeVito as The Wolf and Eddie Murphy as Jules.
Also Uma Thurman missing entirely from contention for Mia.
>nobody has yet mentioned Survive Style 5+
Plebs.
the *ONLY* good thing about Hudson Hawk was sandra bernhard
Do you think Tarantino has ever read Pulp Fiction? What it be, like EC Comics or something? Those old paperback books?
He's known for. his. impeccable. and. distinct. way. of. talking. Neo. Even in School Daze, he didn't really pull off the "jive" thing. But I kind of get it, QT was just loading the film up with the actors he always works with, and the biggest names of that era, so he could load the poster up with big names. He does that with all of his movies, but some of those choices, jesus.
It's been so long since I saw that piece of shit, i forgot she was in it.
Maybe you should watch Reservoir Dogs
So he could say nigger
Think that was going to be Buscemi, but there were last minute scheduling conflicts, so he just played that role and had Buscemiin a minor waiter role.
>Die Hard not kino
PF > IB > JB > HE > KB2 > RD > KB1 > DU > DP
Sean Penn would have been great as Butch as well
it was written for Mickey Rourke. They actually sort of look similar at first glance (back then) so I guess it was destiny
true
Does Fight Club hold up today or was it "of its time (pre-9/11)"?
>KB2 over KB1
Just because it has more dialogue and less action doesn't mean it's better. A lot of the dialogue was cringe, like that retarded Superman metaphor.
The Elle Driver fight was the best damn thing in both movies.
>Laurence Fishburne as Jules
After King of New York and Deep Cover I think he could have pulled it off though not as iconic as Sam Jackson.
It holds up as one of the few movies about the struggles of masculinity that isn't anti-male feminist garbage. I know some dumb feminist cunts like to say "achtually it's about toxic masculinity" and sure that's a part of it, but there's more to it that feminists will probably never understand.
>that entire list
I can concede that, but KB2 spends more of its running time being boring than KB1 does.
