Pretty good but it was literally just Pocahontas with blue space creatures and it was only worth watching in 3D
Acceptable overall, but Infinity War was better.
Main pro: Captain America wielding Thor's hammer to fight Thanos
Main con: its own newly invented rules for time travel are hard to follow and full of plotholes

Inferior to Infinity War.

About infinitely worse than Infinity War but still not bad.
It's not best MCU movie, but its a great way to finish the Thanos saga. Last battle felt like good old comic's great battles. Captain, Thor and Iron Man are the main stars of the movie, though Ant Man is responsible for most of funny moments. It's a good continuation for the last Avengers movie, but Infinity War still is top one.
KEK
No war on terror, no destabilising the Middle East. No abduction of an arms dealer who’s name is Stark...zzz. Good god, didn’t know that autism equals Down syndrome here on 4chinz.
>though Ant Man is responsible for most of funny moments
Ant Man is great in that regard, but sad Thor stole the show with the comedic stuff, imo.
Dr strange creates one timeline that thanos isn't even in anymore.
>just one
somewhere out there thor wakes up from a wild party and cant find his hammer.
Captain America took mjolnir with him when he returned the stones. Probably returned mjolnir.
Holy crap don't say that name
why would he ruin such perfect selfie
I really enjoyed it.
The way I see time travel is that no one really knows how it actually works, but it just "works". You know, Dr. Who rules.
Capekino confimed.
>Acceptable overall, but Infinity War was better.
This.
I view IW as the True ending and EG is the bonus alternative ending for 100% completion or some bullshit.
I cant put EG ahead of IW mainly due to the time travel bullshit.
I cannot stand when a movie has to rely on time travel in order to retcon shit. (yes. it wasnt a retcon. you still get the point) time travel to me is just lazy writing.
still a nice entertaining movie that met expectations.
Uranus hasn't been the same since Neptune left her.
refer to there is an entire timeline where Cap changed the world, except he wasn't 90 at the end of Endgame he was probably 300 or so years old.
good, fan service in tasteful ways, well balanced between characters but there were a few times Captain Marvel took the spotlight away from others like Nebula. The Cap vs. Cap fight was silly and sort of drawn out, much rather would have seen him fight someone else around that time period like hawk-eye, especially considering he won't be around.
also kinda silly in infinity war it required an ancient dwarven civilization centered around a dying star to create a gauntlet that could hold the stones, and at the end Tony Stark just slaps them into his glove
I really loved the Japan samurai with japanese lines from Ronin and the ching-chong guy.
Japanese is truly a kino language, it elevated the scene.
Honestly I think it will be better to watch the film at home, listening to sweaty neckbeards pop like they were 10 year olds at a wrestling match really killed a lot of it for me.
1. Thanos simply wanted the best gauntlet in the universe like the egomaniac psychopath he was.
2. Iron-Man's genius was capable of recreating something similar to it, after all, the gauntlet was cut from Thano's hand.
Possibility one states than any metal glove could be enough to use the stone.
#2 states that you do a special alloy that Iron Made used or recreated.
Pick your choice.
Tony Stark is a mary sue, except for the fact that he died.
No wonder he felt constantly anxious and pressured, he is the only one who can save the universe.
Will this stand the test of time? How does it operate as a single movie? How are the performances, the special-effects, the cinematography, the editing? Does the movie have a message, a theme, or even some semblance of complexity or interest in developing beyond the parameters of the comic panel? These films aren't about satisfaction in relation to quality, they're about satisfaction in relation to pleasure. They're cultural-objects destined to exist in the here and now and then go on to Disney+ in eight months.
Nothing is grounded in any comprehensible reality. They just don't feel like they have to work for it anymore. But it shouldn't matter how it works, right? It doesn't matter if it's a patchwork machine. You're here for what that machine makes: The moments. You're meant to appreciate each one and then instantly wipe it from your memory. If you hold any two scenes in this movie in your mind simultaneously, the whole thing falls apart. It's a film that resists being viewed. It's un-cinema.
I remember calling the MCU a bottomless pit. Well, they finally found a floor. And you know what's down there? Absolutely positively nothing. Nothing in this movie means anything. Nothing in this movie matters. It's the Clorox wipes of cinema, meant to be used once and then instantly disposed of. It's not a movie at all. It's just Content. And now that Disney's one big step closer to swallowing an entire artistic medium, steel yourself for a whole lot more of it. This is the future of film, right here. Void of art, of feeling, of meaning. A black hole, sucking up everything in its path. High Life played at my local theater for less than a week because of this thing. It is actively destroying exhibition for smaller films that, incidentally, are actually good. This isn't an exaggeration, this isn't me being hyperbolic. Avengers: Endgame is a harbinger of decay and doom and death. Hope you enjoyed those precious moments. In the future, they're all you're ever going to see.
> Based Feige forcing the Russo's to put this in.
>its own newly invented rules
literally the same rules done in Dragon Ball
I agree IW is better though.
MIND BLOWN
Kill yourself, you dumb frog poster
why couldn't we , as a society, just let mcu fail?? Looking back phase 2 should have been the end of it. Every single one of those movies are terrible and even lack the charm of "wow a marvel superhero on the big screen" factor of phase 2.
The only one thats passable is winter solider and if you took disneys name off of it...its basically a straight to netflix action flick with scott adkins
It only works with all other mcu movies in consideration. Standalone it was very poor and regular capeshit movie.
Didn't see it lol
Will torrent when it shows up on torrent sites in a few months, I'm not that impatient
I think the point of the infinity gauntlet was to be able to wield them and survive
I didn't really understand what the point of the pass the ball thing with the gauntlet at the end was. If their goal was to do a snap again, half the characters that held it could have done it, like Captain Clitoris herself
>It only works with all other mcu movies in consideration. Standalone it was very poor and regular capeshit movie.
It's becoming more and more difficult to enjoy individual MCU movies without considering all the connections to its sister movies. Achilles Heel in the MCU master plan, I guess.
Flashy with nice action overall
But the story was shit, and the forced "single" outcome did not help by a longshot
The initial plan was to get rid of it using a time portal. The main one was destroyed by Thanos' ship in the initial bombardment form his ship. So, they were scrambling to get it to the back-up portal, Ant-Man's ugly van. Thanos destroyed the van a split second before they could reach it.
>tunnel minded antikeno cuck automatically thinking about the movie endgame will never beat when viewing a thread on either subject
WTF?! I hate time travel now.
Doesn't hold a candle next to Superman 79, Spider Man 2, or Batman Begins. I don't even know if it makes top 5.
That's a pretty retarded plan lmao. Were they just gonna throw it in the past wherever and not worry about the consequences?
>and at the end Tony Stark just slaps them into his glove
To be fair, Stark's glove was clearly not as good as the dwarven one since it burns your arm to a crisp when you put it on. The dwarven-made one didn't do that until Thanos outright destroyed the stones.
Hide it in the Quantum Realm, perhaps?
i dont have to keep watching cinematic universes anymore/10
a good end
Fun movie that had great moments throughout. But I’d be legit embarrassed to recommend it to anyone that doesn’t have a passing interest in capeshit. Which is funny because I’d recommend the hell out of Infinity War.
It was entertaining, which is all I really ask of an action movie. The time travel shit was retarded tho, which was funny because they went out of their way to make fun of time travel in other franchises
Wrong. All the alt timelines were erased once Captain America returned the infinity stones back to their rightful time periods.
The ancient one literally told Hulk that taking the stones would cretae a divergence, and the Banner pointed out that if the stones were returned, then the divergence wouod be undone.
Endgame was just wrapping up a bunch of bullshit in a bow and giving everyone what they wanted to see. Infinity War was unadulterated kino tho
The only problem with the time travel in the movie was that they didn't explain why Cap was sitting on the bench instead not the platform when he clearly came from a different reality
But this is a better, more scientifically accurate version of time travel that doesn't allow for it to be so end all for future movies
The Ancient One is talking about a reality where the time stone doesn't return which means Doctor Strange faces Dormammu alone without it
It didn't delete that reality
You're just a fucking moron
Okay movie. Not as nearly good as IW. Decent sends offs to Cap and Tony. Nebula has some good moments and there's some pretty good banter between characters. It's a very “turn off your brain” character driven CGI fest, because the more you think about Endgame the stupider it becomes. It seemed very rushed, despite being 3 hours, and many moments were felt like bad fan fiction (Everyone who uses the gauntlet snapping their fingers being the most noticeable one). All of the good is offset by contrivances and plot holes everywhere, retarded quantum time travel that gives a false sense of urgency, and many character arcs left stranded without resolution. The Back to the Future 2 moments were pretty fun, but the logic was so idiotic it ruined any sense of stakes.
There's also the hamfisted feminist propaganda with Cap Marvel being universe breaking OP and the infamous girl power scene. White male characters are shit on with Thor becoming a walking fat manchild joke for the entire movie, Quill getting no redemption and only there to be kicked in the balls, and cuck Hulk having all his character development off screen and now effectively a pacifist. Cap symbolically gives away America to the black man and Thor gives away Asgard to bitchy black slave trading traitor. Not a good sign for what is to come in the MCU or the West Biggest flaw is that IW Thanos is killed early simply for the shock value of subverting expectations and replaced with a not-really-Thanos bland CGI monster from the past that now has a different motivation.
did you cry? I did like a bitch, don't even care if it's soi
It was good. The Infinity War/Endgame two parter will, for better and for worse, be remembered as one of our times great epics. I never exactly loved the MCU as a franchise and I still have my issues with these two movies, that snarky, hipstery dialogue robs these movies of the gravitas they might have if they took themselves more seriously and no one writing for Marvel is able to write good female characters but it still stands as an accomplishment I can, however begrudgingly, respect. For young people it will take a similar place as Lord of the Rings did for me and overall I think it deserves it. Its pathos feels overall earned.
no, but i did go soifaced multiple times
>be a retarded franchise for children that can't write a fight in an airport coherently
>"lmao let's try time travel let's see what comes out of that bros!"
Unwatchable garbage as expected, fun to see all those söibois blowing their trust funds in tickets for the "underpriviledged" though
The credits got me. The footage of the older movies and the sense of finality reminded me of high school days.
>but Infinity War was better.
I heard this also from an MCU fag in
Why so much comedic bullshit? I'd be more interested in these movies if it weren't for that
-in
Only Age of Ultron and Thor Ragnarok get really bad with the out of place humor. Guardians 2 also pushes it but barely scrapes by for me.
I don't know, i come from a timeline were endgame is called "infinty wars pt 2"
I'm sad Tony is gone, just because I like the actor but that's life, I guess. I really only wanted to stick around for GotG3/Spider/BP2(Maybe)/And another Strange, but other than that I'm not supes hyped for the rest.
Did they ever even say they were going back to different realities? I remember them saying you can't change the past because you've already experienced it that way, and it without experiencing it you wouldn't know to undo it.
Stark's glove is fine, Thanos puts it on without burning (just like with dwarven-made one).
The reason Banner and Stark are fucked up is because wielding all 6 stones is incredibly taxing and they aren't as powerful as Thanos.
>and at the end Tony Stark just slaps them into his glove
Yeah and it fucking kills him
Overall I do not like it. It had some good parts, but it is just a bad movie.

Everything with the Time Travel is Pants on Head Retarded.
Good movie. Wraps up all 22 or whatever movies nicely. Lots of call backs. Captain Toe Fungus has only about two minutes on screen, thank God. The worst part is the stupid timeline/going back in time thing, which makes no sense, and will plague this movie for decades to come.
If you need this to explain time in your movie, you probably did something wrong
it's garbage

What as the point of him dying only to bring him back in the next movie?
I liked it, but I vowed that I won't go to another capeshit movie no matter how much my buddy bitches. The Captain America time travel ending was fucking stupid though.
Meh.
Would have been better if Captain Marvel had sex with Spiderboy.
Objectively false, see , there is however a reality where Thanos straight up gets deleted from. I don't know about the Frida and Howard Stark alterations though. Loki Escaping with the space stone is validated. For the MCU angle they're going with they can at least re-use loki again.
who does
Main pro: everything until the final battle
Main con: the battle itself and the cinematography used during that was super horrible, as well as Cap wielding Thor's hammer - especially the contradicting part when he could summon Thor's powers for some reason even tho the Hammer is not its source.
Yes
Because if they killed Baby Thanos they only created a different reality in which Thanos didn't kill half the people but it wouldn't change anything in theirs
Btw I just realized this is the Abrams Star Trek version of time travel

You could have stopped this.
I disagree. I haven't seen very many MCU movies at all. But my brother showed me Infinity War on Blu Ray last year, and so I thought why not go see Endgame since it was hyped up.
The last one I saw before these two was Age of Ultron back in 2015. So I didn't see Ant Man, Captain Marvel, Thor Ragnarok, Guardians 2, etc.
And I was able to understand Endgame just fine (the only question I had to ask during the movie to my brother was who Black Widow and Cap were talking about in the sandwich scene - it was Hawkeye, but they referred to him by his real name, which I didn't know).
Even if I hadn't seen Infinity War, I'm sure I would have still understood Endgame. And I'm sure that if you look at the people who watched Endgame but didn't see Infinity War, I'm sure most of them would have been informed by friends / relatives / the internet what the basic premise was going into the movie - Thanos snapped his fingers and disintegrated all these people. And even if you didn't know that, the beginning of Endgame basically explains it for you.
Thanos won. IW is the superior film. Time travel is just stupid and lazy.
You know it baby.

The timelines were all restored to normal except for the one where Loki got away, the one where Cap lived with Agent Milkers, and the 2014 where Thanos' leaves and Red Skull is free from servitude.
I'd like to see how that 2014 played out though. Either Rocket/Groot capture Quill without Gamoras interference and give him to Yondu and he negotiates with the stone and Yondu sells it to the Collecter or Djimon Honsou gets the stone first (because Quill was knocked out) and Ronan is the big bad of the universe unless maybe Captain Marvel can beat him.

This was by far, the worst movie I have seen in the Theater, ever. I didn't walk out because it was so horrifyingly bad for what it could have been, that I found myself laughing hysterically. I was alone in the theater, nobody else being around to listen to me actually slap my own forhead on multiple occasions with almost involuntary shouts of, 'what the fuck were they thinking?' or, 'oh my god that was terrible.'
You need to watch more movies if this was genuinely the worst you've ever seen.

Avengers: Endgame? Plotholes? Boy, you aren't making any sense. Sure, you might BELIEVE there are plot holes, but there aren't. What's really happening is the 22 film personal story crafted by the infalliable Russo brothers is just too complex and too advanced for someone with a simple mind like yours to understand upon an initial viewing. So how about instead of criticizing something you OBVIOUSLY don't understand, you go back to watching the stuff your simple mind can understand: Disney movies, Star Wars, and other low level content.

*Marvel Universe
*Timeline B that has stones removed. Then returned by Cap. Old Cap Timeline. Events still change drastically due to Caps foresight. Hydra, 9/11, Kennedy Assassination etc, No Thanos or forces.
*Timeline C created due to Loki's escape, Loki Timeline
*Timeline D created moment Thano's left Timeline B with his forces. Basically GOTG wont happen. Quill's Dad probably rules universe.
Im not sure on D, if the stones have an affect missing then surely Thanos does.
What a retarded video lmfao
Yikes. Based.
I respect any get that's designed to piss off /pol/
Infinity war was better
Much weaker than IW.
Biggest problem was that undoing the snap was too easy. The only conflict that happened in this movie was contrived by making past Nebula's device pop up randomly at the worst possible time.

>Mommy Brie.
You faggots are missing the mystical significance of this get.
"Mommy Brie"?
Brie Larson is a feminist. Feminism is the arch enemy of motherhood. "Mommy brie" implies that she's a mother. As she is the symbol for feminist stronk woman nonsense, the idea of brie (feminism) being a mommy means that feminism has been defeated by femininity and goodness.
The digits confirm that feminism is going to be destroyed by femininity.
Not my mommy. Not my tummyfu.
Too many notes
>Main con: its own newly invented rules for time travel are hard to follow and full of plotholes
I really like it's interpretation of time travel, especially by using other films as direct reference to make things easier to understand. Making a clear cut rule (through Bruce) how it works from the get-go.
But they muddled it by having the Ancient One add in more rules as to how it works. Then muddle it even further with all the little events happening during the stone heists like Loki escaping with the stone - does that matter at all in the grand scheme of things? Then fucked it up to all confusion with Steve showing as an old man on a bench. So much for keeping it simple with the first explanation.
Good movie for kids and family. I enjoyed it and my cousins too. Movie is entertaining for kids, they really loved it; money well spent.
Better in some ways than Infinity War and more enjoyable as a popcorn flick overall. IW is probably the better made film between the two but I feel Endgame will be much more rewatchable . Both of them together make the best film in the MCU.
Good beginning, mediocre second act, god-tier third act.
We don't know. You never see what effect he had on the other timeline. For clarity, he jumps to another timeline, lives with Peggy, then jumps back to the main timeline at the end. This is confirmed by the Russos.
People bitch about time travel but you can't overthink it, it will never make sense because it's tucking time travel and paradoxes are inevitable.
[Spoiler]
My only gripes were that I would like to have seen hulk and thanos rematch
And also Carol had the gauntlet, why didn't she just use it so nobody else had to die?
You know what I really appreciated? No retarded close-up shaky cams. There probably was a few present, but it wasn't as egregious as Civil War, for example. Being able to tell what's going on during the fight made it so much more enjoyable. And that goes to IW as well.
NIGGER WHY
NOOO
Didn't see it, but it shat up the board with capeshit and reddit tourists, so I hate it automatically.
Largely inferior to Infinity War, too much shoehorned crap and retarded ending/character development for the main characters,

WHADDA WASTE YOU FUCKING BRIEFAG
This is correct except that Cap returning the stones should point to the same time they left since that was the deal. Return the stones right when they were taken and everything will still play out like it should.
This was fine. What was the issue?
It’s fanservice held together by an insultingly thin plot that contains multiple character assassinations. I fucking hated it. It can’t even follow its own rules. That’s when you know the writers are dumb, lazy, or most likely both.
Every single red flag of a nerd who felt wronged and outsmarted by capeshit. Bless.
Yeah, except Captain Plug-In conveniently forgot she can fly at literally FTL speeds.
None of this matters, because being able to re-enter an alternate timeline once it’s been left to diverge is stupid as fuck. It even violates the rule they established - you can’t change your own past. Think about it:
If you travel to the past from your present(a) then at a later time travel back to that same point in time(a’), then you absolutely are changing your own past, because you are now both a and a’ - those are both “you” at different points on your own timeline.
Utterly based.
Fuck off. Their time travel rules are dumb as fuck. If you can’t understand, congratulations, you’re their dumb as fuck target audience.
Fuck you for supporting the cynical fucks actively working to make people dumber.

Didn't watch it. Looks gay.
The writers, Markus and Mcfeely, disagree. They say Cap lived and grew old in the same main timeline, instead of creating a new one and crossing back over.
Almost like no one put as much thought into Cap's ending as they should have.
OMG I LOVE YOU BRIE
Not bad for a movie for kids, with a few great moments. Better than Despicable Me for sure.
In all fairness, Scarlet Witch was the only one to actually scare Thanos and come close to killing him. A couple of those damn wizards with sling rings on defense around her, and she could have ended it all. Captain Mary Sue be damned.
Thanos does burn, a little, when he is attempting to control all of the stones. But, he gets interrupted continuously as he is trying to exert control over them. Just like Infinity War Starlord plan. Tony's glove is maybe half as good as Eitri's, but it's all Thanos is got right then. He has to snap to exert the force needed, but with the dwarven glove he can control individual stones. Tony's glove appears to be all or nothing, and not as resilient.

I just felt empty after watching it. It was incredibly underwhelming. Especially when you compare it to Infinity War. Which sucks because I was really looking forward to seeing this. Not a bad movie, just a disappointing one. idk maybe that's just me.
Except he can't "jump back" to the original timeline because he didn't appear through the van, and the only other teleporter left was destroyed by Thanos. The implication being that somehow the timeline that he stayed in "intersected" with the main timeline which is paradoxical and impossible going by the time travel rules set forth by the film itself. Russos didn't "confirm" shit, they got caught on the spot, so they pulled bullshit out of their ass.
It was serviceable. But I'm still disappointed it didn't compare to the high point that was Infinity War.
Good, but not as good as Infinity War.
Present-day Cap vs younger Cap was one of the better parts of Endgame. Seeing older Cap shake his head and roll his eyes when his younger, more idealized self spout one-liners and justice quips was a treat and pretty tasteful as far as the humor went.

The mystery of how it ends is all that drove interest in the movie.
I can't imagine somebody willfully sitting down and rewatching this 3 hour slog for the one scene worth it (mjolnir).
Infinity War took way more risks and those risks paid off by making it unforgettable. Endgame is just feel-good safe stuff just to finish the Thanos arc in a proper way, but there were little surprises and very few truly hype stuff. We needed more "Captain with Mjolnir"-like moments.
Haven't seen endgame but infinity war was dogshit

Endgame time travel follows the same rules as BTTF2. Carl Sagan has gone on record to say BTTF2 has the most accurate depiction of time travel in movies. He has 2 PHDs.
If you think Endgame's time travel is stupid you are a brainlet.
Do the Russo brothers have some kind of deep seated hatred against the Peter Quill character? He gets shafted non-stop in these two movies.
>All these seething Incels
Fucking kek. Put me in the screencap
1. time travel ain't real
2. BTTF2 is the worst movie of the trilogy
Why not
Have septs.
For me he represents everything wrong with the MCU.
He's the biggest, most quippy baffoon in the entire franchise.
In fact, I wouldn't say it's just Starlord, for me it's the GOTG subfranchise as a whole that represents that.
They didn't know how to make normalfags like the characters, so they just made them all spout le funny one liners one after another.
And Drax, god, what they did to him was laughable. Someone who is supposed to be a dry, savage, cold hearted warrior seeking revenge and they turn him into an autistic retard with the humor of an awkward 13 year old.
It could be either. He's at that point the only one who time traveled so he could've created a time loop for himself where things actually did happen that way in the main timeline
Otherwise yes we would never see what happened during that timeline. Him being there creates all kinds of fucked up butterfly effects that the main timeline could never see. Even 2014 thanos being gone from his own timeline is a big BIG change, and a good excuse to bite 2023 or whatever's timeline back in ther asses later

Thanks cicada. I'll be repelling as many Rayfags as I can, in your name.
They fixed most of the alternate timelines by returning the stones and the hammer in the moment they took them. The only remaining big timeline split is the one where past Thanos and crew hopped into present day earth and were obliterated.
How did Captain America go to an alternate timeline to live with Peggy and then show up back in the main timeline without the use of that pad you stand on (with Hulk operating the controls)?
This is not cool, but it is what is.
I guess we are supposed to understand that Cap was her husband all along?
>I guess we are supposed to understand that Cap was her husband all along?
The Directors did a Q&A in China and said that Cap did in fact live with an alternate Peggy in an alternate timeline.
Yeah okay then I don't have a clue.
LARSGANG
Terrible, all things considered. Something that culturally significant with that big of a budget really should have had better writing. The plot holes with the time travel are totally unacceptable. The character assassinations of Thor and Hulk are infuriating. And the laziness of the whole project makes me sick. And I'm saying this as someone who paid to see it twice.
Eh, it's a semi-dead meme by now.
The real test begins in December when the Rey passion reignites. God forbid they make Reylo canon. You're in for a shitstorm then.
>If they make Reylo cannon
>not
>If they make Incel good guy by making him tragic hero
From my point of view!
Whatever it is, it better be biblical. They've stepped in the shit now, so they have no excuses.
#bringbackjarjar
>They stepped in the shit now
Well not really, if I was a evil bastard and I wanted to make a whole bunch of money I too would make a lootbox movie and then follow it with a dud but then follow that with a (Big) Lootbox mobie (Like the EU is now cannon) while ending the latter lootbox movie with AAAAALL the big feel good you won moments.
>But they really did get shit up to their hips with that one
Regardless I am now a Reylo fag.
>Regardless I am now a Reylo fag.
I mean, Kylo Ren is the best written character in NuWars, for better or worse. Giving him a redemption arc doesn't sound like a bad idea at this point. Whether the package would include Rey as his token waifu, I could care less.
I just wanna see how they patch this shit up.
Sheev will provide some some new memes, if all else fails.
I also love Mommy Brie
Who has a better smelling butthole: Scarlet Witch, Black Widow, or Captain Marvel?
>Patch it up
That will be worth many memes
>Sheev
And more
Best Written
Ohnono, Rey needs more force powers, she needs to go back in time and fix the last movie.
She needs to go back to the long long time ago in a galaxy far away.
.....Wait, I'm right aren't I.
Checked
>hit the fucking cap already
Best movie of the decade trust me
If you wield the Hammer you posess the power of Thor. Like many mystical artefacts it bestows the God's power upon the user.
They all smell like roses user, they're ""mobie stahs""
Time travel is starting to feel like a cheap gimmick at this point, so I'm hoping they'll go with something original, but Rey being Anakin's mother angle would be interesting to see nonetheless, if they decide to go with that.
At this point I'm willing to apologize to George.
Worse than Infinity War.
Pointless gay therapy scene.
Pointless strong whamen scene.
Time travel is hack fraud tier plot resolution.
Thanos' motivation feels hollow compared to his Infinity War character.
6/10
> Cap wielding Mjolnir
> Scarlet Witch vs Thanos
> "I am Iron(y) Man"
> Antman
It turns out Vision's death was utterly meaningless, which is what makes Wanda's hatred of Thanos so visceral, but the Russo's then completely pussy out of acknowledging this in the film's epilogue.
Mmm hateful boobs
Pls delet
>I guess it would be stupid to use time travel in two big "finale" movies, good point actually.
I don't want to hear that from Brie fags.
I want you to demand Brie be in the movie or you wont see it.
STAND WITH YOUR ROTTEN CHEESY DIGITS.
upon reflection I think I liked age of ultron more
was pretty disappointing
The Russos said he went to an alternate timeline, the writers said he was in the main timeline all along as Peggy's husband and that by putting the stones back, everything is "fixed" magically. I prefer the writer's position as it's a closed loop and doesn't leave room for plotholes, imo Russos just fucked it up and created a big plothole.
The writers say otherwise, up to you to decide which is canon.
Yep, that's what the writers said was their intention all along.
JESUS CHRIST, MANAGER
>I want you to demand Brie be in the movie or you wont see it.
Kek. Cheesefu is rather underwhelming in the MCU desu. There ain't much you can do with that character. I was surprised they did a movie about Carol at all. There's certainly more options from the comics. Guess they needed more femcels to see the film.
I will however enjoy me some psychological thriller kino with her in the lead, as either the victim or the antagonist. She can do crazy and make it look authentic, I'm sure.
Also wouldn't mind a double-autist feature with Gosling.
...
>Also wouldn't mind a double-autist feature with Gosling.
Fucking this. Imagine Drive meets Unicorn Store. Now I really wanna see how that would play out.
I think she portrays the character accurately, but that's an issue within itself, because as you said the character is one dimensional even in the comics. That said, I thought Captain Marvel was serviceable and definitely better than Thor 2 or Ed Norton's cookie cutter Hulk. I'd watch it over Iron Man 3 too.
Brie definitely needs to do more indie films in the future though, and pick roles like Room and Short Term 12. I wanna see how far she can push herself and CM is just easy mode.
I don't think there is any end she can go too to.
>But that's me
If I had to see her in a movie...I think...she should be the new hulk and also somehow look like lucy lawless, that's my type of femenist
Look at some of her other films, forget Captain Marvel. She has more range than that. The issue is her public perception will probably play a role in the types of roles she gets now.
A good actor maintains an air of mistery and even dishonesty about them. The less they know who you are, the more they'll buy into your acting.
Stop describing me, who is not Brie.
>Honestly,
But yeah I am sure she has many more films that I will never watch as I am not just adamant I am down right rooted, however should Brie Larson ever make a thriller like.
imdb.com
But in the modern age using IP address' social media shit ect then I will watch that.
>Cause that would be kino
DIdnt know what to think now im not sure if i like endgame or iw more. i got a feeling this is going to be one of those movies that age great
Good movie, but I wish all mouse shills on this board would fucking die a painful death.
Yes.
I’m just glad The Avengers is finally over and the MCU is done. It had a good run but it’s choking the industry and stymied pop culture.
Japanese and German are top tier languages. Why are the axis powers so based?
Worst blockbuster in ages, as retarded as BvS, fuck Disney niggers for using Downey as a shield.
Agreed. I was also really high which made everyone’s mumbling sound amplified as fuck. Glad I saw it before getting spoiled by the internet though.
Imagine making this
I disagree. Only see marcel movies with friends and was compelled to see this on my own. I think it’s a 6/10 movie with a great conclusion for the MCU. I don’t care about new marvel movies after this. They did what star wars couldn’t an skilled the hero in battle, selflessly. That alone is worth and extra point, 7/10. IW was better, this was the end, the Return of The Jedi. It’s over.
shit get
I don’t see Thor’s depressed fat drunk thing being a anti white dude thing. I’ve been there before, it can happen to anyone. Though I do agree with you the west is fucked, but not because of this movie. Deutschland Uber Alles!
you didn't explain why it's bad
Fucking wasted
Based horrible get
>It's un-cinema.
This right here, they splurge so much into it and out comes nothing. Wanting to tap into all possible revenue sources, it stretches itself so thin that it becomes the physical manifestation of "wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle". That is in a odd way very fitting, as who are they who splash about in puddles? Exactly.
got something FOUR me?
Well yeah it is an epilogue..I thought Endgame makes it clear that Thanos won. The whole murder at the beginning of Endgame is driving it home further. Thanos won. The story ends.
Endgame is another story thats basically just a revenge plot, Thanos again makes this clear at the end when he says "You couldn't live with your failure and it brought you back to me".
Avengers lost, they pull a cheat code and bring everyone back but its still 5 years later, the world has literally moved on so even though they undo the snap it is not said by the narrative that they IMPROVED anything in fact Cap suggests that the planet may be better off after the snap. The Avengers rage and commit a childish murder then a childish snap that will have a ripple effect that could possibly be worse than what Thanos did with the original snap.
Endgame brought context to a lot of old scenes from other movies but I guarantee once we're deep into the next phases of the MCU we will see that same context brought to Endgame...The narrative through IW and Endgame is this....
The Avengers fucked up they should not have snapped. The infinity stones are gone, the universe is vulnerable. Thanos was won..he was right.
It's not just you. They had the makings of an amazing conclusion in the suggestion that the stones have their own consciousnesses, but did exactly nothing with it. We could have had cool Soulworld shit and the stones gradually subsuming Thanos's mind, vying for control, and revealing the real reason no one has ever successfully wielded all six before, but instead we get fucking time travel, shitty time travel at that.
This. It's lazy storytelling being smokescreened by off-the-cuff bullshit.
>t. guy who's never read a comic book
It's shit. Tony's story was the only thing remotely good about it.
Cap has been worthy in every medium the hammer exists in. he's whipped ass with it in the comics at least twice, calling down lightning and all. Shut the fuck up incel Tony fanboy
They said some shit about him living into the future as well in the alternate timeline that its possible he lived much longer and cameback when they developed time travel. They said that would explain why he looks so old even on the soldier serum
Here's the problem: you can't have your cake and eat it, too.
You can't have a scenario that encompasses both alternate timelines *and* closed loops, because one precludes the existence of the other. The Russos are right to *try* to make it seem as if they intended for it to be Cap returning from an alt-line to pass off the shield, but where they drop the ball is in him not returning through the platform as had already been established. They got caught out on their poorly thought-through bullshit and pulled that explanation straight out if their ass.
There is one explanation that *could* work, but they didn't think of it. It is that the old Cap we see at the end is a different man than the one we see leave. He is the Cap from a previous timeline, one whose shield survived intact who traveled to our past and lived out his life with Peggy, which would mean that the Peggy Carter series took place in his timeline, one where a Cap never traveled back.
With good writing and careful planning, he could have been worked in as a sort of shadowy "mystery man" that was rumored to have been operating through their timeline's 20th century. He could have been referenced occasionally by Fury, given some comics-friendly codename like "Agent 616," alluding to S.H.I.E.L.D. already having some knowledge of the multiverse, and he could have been revealed to have been fighting to prevent even worse threats he brought knowledge of from his own timeline. But once again, that would imply they entered into this endeavor with the intentions to tell anything besides a lazy, halfassed story.
Fucking nailed it.
It doesn't follow BTTF2's rules. It's not single timeline.
