not the nu-it thats for fucking sure. He looks retarded
Brandon Davis
OH NO A SCARY CLOOOOOWN
Goofy garbage
Joshua Turner
Tim Curry
James Gutierrez
Based Curry was actually funny. Miss that guy.
Jackson Powell
why is nu-It's forehead so fucking huge? it's impossible to take him seriously. and his voice is too gleeful and cheery to be scary.
Andrew Martinez
Curry's Pennywise doing the shit Skarsgard's does
Juan Smith
Unironically the new one. Bill Skarsgard did amazing job with the character being repulsively creepy. The old one was just funny.
Adam Watson
He really only played the character properly in the beginning. The rest of the time he was just a generic scary monster man with clown makeup.
Cooper Kelly
Mini series was only good because of Curry's charisma. The movie is only good for the way it builds up the characters and how it follows the book a little more. Part II should be a lot better only because of the established story and the fucking cast is mostly A-list. Skarsgard can suck a dick because it's all jump scares and CGI.
Jace Smith
dumb npc
John Cooper
Zoomer detected. Take away all the CGI and see who's got the soul. Curry was able to do it with just practical effects alone.
Joseph Peterson
Robert Long
I messed up, I meant to say the opposite.
Angel Jackson
The general consensus is "Curry is more memorable and unique, but Skarsgard is more accurate to the actual book character".
Hunter Nelson
The one where IT wasn't the T-1000
Justin Young
Imagine a spider's butt
no look at the forehead again
Ryder Young
*now
Hunter Flores
So... both of them?
William Stewart
Good point. That opening scene was great, but Pennywise (and the rest of the movie) was generic as fuck after that
Jayden Clark
Josiah Stewart
>Take away all the CGI and see who's got the soul.
Not to deny the legendary Spicy Curry, but Skarsgard did fold himself up for that refrigerator scene and genuinely was present throughout pretty much every non-CGI shot in the movie, very limited use of doubles, and he pulled it off pretty well.
Obviously Curry is better just because he doesn't look like someone who would fail to get let into Horrorcon, let alone woo kids, but saying the guy didn't put some soul into this is wrong.
Lincoln Nguyen
both looked retarded as hell
clowns aren't fucking scary
Curry was scarier in Rocky Horror
Hudson Powell
Samuel Jenkins
Penntwise fucking sucks.
Fucker is supposed to be this nigh omnipotent, timeless eldritch horror from another dimension, and yet he gets the everloving shit beaten out of him by bunch of kids. If the story ended there I guess it would be OK, but what's the point of the exact same scenario but with them as adults? Of course they are going to defeat that nigger clown again, THEY ALREADY DID IT.
Evan Thompson
I love Tim Curry, but he was too busy being a goofball to actually be scary.
Jack Martinez
Witch-Minion was the best
Nicholas Baker
He is supposed to be an actual funny clown to attrace his prey, so it wouldn't make sense if he walked around all scary all the time.
Noah Foster
One, he's still all goofy even when the Losers are adults. Two, a horror character should be scary. Even if only sometimes.
Christian Torres
Yeah, a regular grown man wouldn’t have gone down as easy. Basically it’s just something to get the pre-teens in the crowd cheering, and really, that’s the audience the remake was geared towards. An edgy, gross kids movie.
Liam Powell
miniseries was ultra boring shit
the movie was ok
therefore the movie clown was the best one
Joseph Ortiz
The book isn't much better. IT is still incapable of actually killing any of the main kids until Eddie at the very end, and it kind of happened by accident. Even as a giant monster spider, the adults just beat the shit out of him and rip out his heart.
Matthew Russell
Sebastian Bell
YEAHTHATSRIGHT
Adam Jones
the movie was shit though
Parker Watson
infinitely better than any adaptation
Wyatt Davis
Cosmic entity that is eternal and spans the universe from the beginning of time.
Feeds of fear and children remains unknown by erasing itself from memory. It was all a dream man. Loosing was a psych op to remain undiscovered. It literally does not matter to IT.
Andrew Brown
this guy
Carter Cook
I just can't disagree with Scott...
John Hall
user, they both look like retards
they're clowns
looking more like a retard is actually a plus
tim curry better though
Blake James
Curry > Skarsgard
IT < nu-IT
Michael Garcia
Fucking Drider Defense Force in here.
Asher Cook
Steiner is a poor imitation of the original.
Carson Anderson
what he do?
John Wright
Objectively Tim Curry. The new IT could've been a masterpiece if they let Cary make his vision
Joseph Hill
Cary's version sounded fucking awful. You're the same type of cretin who thinks Jodorowsky's Dune would have been good.
David Rogers
Pennywise isn't supposed to be funny. He's supposed to be alien and strange and terrifying.
Zachary Howard
He wasn't even scary in the book. He was constantly joking around.
Nicholas Rodriguez
The only good thing about the movie was the banter between kids, most of which he wrote.
In terms of the horror, wouldn't you rather see something unique rather than 100 jump scares?
Colton Cox
Raped children from the birthday parties he was hired to be clown in
Brandon King
That excuse literally is on the same level as "I AM NOT REALLY A RETARD, I WAS JUST PRETENDING".
Anthony Davis
The old one isn't scary at all and shitty, the new one isn't much better but still
Liam Nelson
Uniqueness is not the place for adaptations.
Caleb Campbell
That's not true. He was a murderer who lured teenage boys to his basement and also happened to have a dayjob as a birthday party clown.
Lincoln Miller
this. he's an antagonist with charisma but still scary
Jordan Bell
ts kinda implied in the book that another force is opposing pennywise, the kids can only hurt him because this other force is helping, I remember another user doing a good explication of that force being the same one that is in the Dark tower books, since they share the same universe.
In the end Pennywise got fucked because someone powerful as him was using the kids as a way to hurt and remove pennywise from the game.
Jordan Martin
>ts kinda implied in the book
And none of that crap is in the movie or the mini-series, which is what is being discussed here.
Ethan Hill
His jokes weren't funny. He was spitting out garbled bits of jokes here and there, but it isn't funny because its usually juxtaposed to him doing something grotesque.
Hunter Wood
Never said they were funny, but I can't take a scene seriously when the villain is telling a Prince Albert joke.
Jonathan Scott
>implied
It's literally flat out stated that The Turtle and his forces are against Pennywise.
Brandon Kelly
curry's version is "closer" to the book, where Pennywise is enticing to the children, but something is just off about it. Skarsgard's is good from an aesthetic standpoint and I give them credit for trying something totally new and not ripping off curry's costume, but like every horror movie they cant do anything in moderation
>the shaky cam jump scares
>the monster running full sprint, screaming ooga booga at a character
>the monster running right at the camera, only to have the character escape, turn around and NOTHING IS THERE !!!!
granted, they always cuck the adaptations. Even in the new movie pennywise didnt seem like that much of a threat, he only killed two people on screen, everything else was him just fucking with the losers club.
tim curry for the kids portion > Skarsgard for the kids portion but
skarsgard for the adult version> tim curry for the adult version
the new one looks promising and im hoping they can be more gratuitous now that the first movie was a success
Josiah Thomas
Post a youtube link to the scene in the movie where that is said.
Nolan Adams
We were talking about the book. Keep up, kid.
Daniel Brooks
The book version is not enticing to children. The few scenes where Pennywise (in clown form) is near children they are crying and pulling away from him.
Jonathan Lee
Liam Phillips
Curry IT was better clown
But Nu-IT has better plot and characters
Juan Thompson
Nope, the thread is about the movie and the mini-eries. You cant answer "why is the clown so lame in the movie" and reply with something in the book that has no presence there.
Dylan Rodriguez
>le scary clown xD
based and redpilled my fellow centipedes, kek wills it
Nicholas Hernandez
It 1990.
Logan Lopez
that was when the losers were at the parADE IIRC, and those kids were very young but georgie is enticed by him and thats why he doesnt run. No kid would ever look at nupennywise and think to stick around
Levi Butler
>orgy
They ran a train, get your porn terminology right you stupid journalists.
Jaxson Anderson
>Still not gangbang
Why do they keep trying to tell this story but ignore its most defining moment? Nobody would give a shit about IT if it did not turn into CP for a full chapter at some point in the middle out of nowhere.
Ethan Anderson
He's right though. How else am I supposed to get off?
Adam Bailey
Gangbang? I haven't read the book and probably never will but how does a single clown by himself gangbang anyone?
Andrew Phillips
Obviously the new one. The old one was unintentional comedy
Nicholas Cooper
>No kid would ever look at nupennywise and think to stick around
All he has to do is to floss, and kids would be following him.
Jeremiah Morales
Richie was under a glamour, and was still kind of wary. Aside from Georgie, name one other kid who is enticed by IT.
Matthew Martin
The other kids gangbang bev
Andrew Lee
What? So the clown was the good guy all along?
Isaac Parker
they do it to lose their innocence to fuck pennywise
Brandon Ward
They gangbang the clown too?
Christopher Green
it was a part time gig he did for fun. he had a construction business full time. some of the young men he killed were transients who needed get-on-their-feet work.
Gavin Edwards
Wasn't it obvious?
Logan Gutierrez
Stranger Things It is better in every way possible except new guy sucks ass compared to Tim Curry. That's pretty much it
Michael Evans
yeah, you don't remember that scene from the movie?
Josiah Walker
no the kids run a train on the girl
Cameron Cooper
>the new one looks promising
NO ONE SAW ANYTHING FROM IT
STOP LYING ONLINE
Chase Garcia
I haven't seen the movie
Alexander Phillips
book people i have some questions
did beverly cum?
if so, how many times?
it was all vaginal or some of the kids tried her ass
did they all cum inside, or did some opt for her tits or a facial?
did any of the kids comment on feeling the prior kids' cum while penetrating her?
Oliver Martinez
Yes
Twice
All vaginal
No, that part is all from her perspective
Landon Long
Do you know the chapter number? I might read it some time when I'm bored.
William Hughes
Tim Curry. Can't even begin to understand how anybody could possibly think otherwise.
Julian King
>did beverly cum?
No
>if so, how many times?
0
>it was all vaginal or some of the kids tried her ass
All 7 holes, 2 hands, 2 feet and 4 joints
>did they all cum inside, or did some opt for her tits or a facial?
All of them did, but on the back
>did any of the kids comment on feeling the prior kids' cum while penetrating her?
One licked her clean
Ryan Hall
...so you prefer the new one?
Isaiah Perry
>All 7 holes, 2 hands, 2 feet and 4 joints
That's impressive.
Oliver Sanchez
pedo scum
Noah Moore
Henry bowers
Easton Gutierrez
So the complete psychopath.
Juan Evans
I'd like Skarsgard's Pennywise more if he was allowed to be slow and quiet. The OOGA BOOGA stuff is lame, when he's just standing there or when he crawls back into the pipe in the sewers and emerges as the painting was when he was most effective.
Great costume, great acting, just misused at times IMO.
Connor Brown
>No, that part is all from her perspective
Aw. Does she say anything about feeling all that cum inside her vag?
Easton Peterson
Is Christine going to have a cameo in the movie?
Juan Lopez
She says "I can't wait for the FBI to show up and arrest this faggot poster."
Jack Cooper
No. King doesn't break up his stuff into normal chapters. Its in the last part of the book (The Ritual of Chud). The child Losers have defeated the Spider and left. The adult Losers were chasing the Spider down while Beverly was babysitting catatonic Audra and thinking about how they all fucked her
Christopher Evans
Kinda. She thinks about how she feels sticky and doesn't know if ifs from the boys or if she bleeding
Thomas Rivera
>gets cummed from 7 different kids
>does not get pregnant
Right there is the most unrealistic part of It.
Tyler Nguyen
That's not how it works
Owen Bell
Only boomers and hipsters think that Tim is better. Tim Curry plays Pennywise as a pedo clown while Skaarsgard plays him like the alien/supernatural being IT is.
Levi Scott
Here you go faggots
Nicholas Green
hahaha imagine being the type of guy who thinks about the cum inside the vagina of a 12 yo girl whose friends ran a train on her
Samuel Clark
it was just a prank
Charles Roberts
It's out
>>>>>>>
Julian Hall
based Coke King
Nicholas Scott
>The rest of the time he was just a generic scary monster man with clown makeup
That was the direction/editing though.
Julian Richardson
Jesus christ, I got 1/5 into that and had to stop, what the actual fuck is wrong with Stephen King
Bentley Smith
>They ran a train
It's called gang bang gramps.
Liam Thompson
Gang bang implies multiple partners at once. A train is one after another. It's a train.
Chase Carter
well, pennywise was fucking up kids for literally hundreds of years, at least a half dozen in between 1957-58. Some we see, like Patrick Hockstetter or Eddie Corcran, where he just outrightattacks them, but then theres betty ripson and some others we dont knw about. IT even mentions "what child could resist a clown?" or something like that so it definitely liked to mix up how it hunted
Lucas Williams
Just recently finally watched the new one and honestly I prefer Skarsgard's version. I will say though that Curry did an amazing job with what he was given, and basically turned a completely trash adaptation into something that was not only watchable, but memorable.
Jackson Price
>not reading about haystacks HUGE DICK
Julian Hernandez
Why didn't they airtight Bev?
Isaac Long
Came here to say that I came here to post this.
Carson Sullivan
Joseph Gutierrez
Tim's is better simply because he's a way better actor than that other guy.
Jason Taylor
oops wrong pic
Nicholas Fisher
>Skaarsgard plays him like the alien/supernatural being IT is
he plays pennywise as a typical psycho, the alien/supernatural part is simply special effects
Joseph Foster
Skarsgard, by far, but it's not exactly fair to compare a made for TV miniseries/movie with a miniscule budget with what poured into the new IT.
Nolan Gonzalez
>the painting
That was the shittiest part of the movie
Zachary Ward
Right looks like a gay clown prostitute
Cameron Parker
I feel like all that experimental prose wouldn't pass from today's publisher. They'd just toss you back in the slush pile.
Liam Powell
Ironic you say that seeing that Curry's version kissed a fat guy.
Joseph Brooks
Pennywise takes the form of a clown to lure in children. Only a literally retarded child would be lured in by Skarsgard's drooling monster clown.
James Bailey
This is pretty fucking gay
Owen Ramirez
this one
Wyatt Rivera
WA HAH
WA HAH

Austin Rodriguez
Pennywise certainly has quite the fanclub in Japan.
Evan Thompson
Both are trash. Clowns aren't scary
Charles Robinson
Honestly I always got the impression Yea Forums related the most with Clowns. They all want to see the world burn. They do whatever they want because they can. They want to cause utter chaos and despair. And laugh at the suffering of others.
Thomas Bailey
I don't think that's 100% true. They enjoy schadenfreude when it comes to their enemies.
Luis Diaz
Tim Curry
Dominic Williams
You should see the fanart for Michael Myers.
Xavier Roberts
This unironically
Anthony Evans
PLEASE LET ME OUT I'M NOT A PEDOPHILE
Ayden Torres
Scary vs "Scary", basically.
The new one is some Y SO SERIUS? edgecore nonsense.
Wyatt Fisher
The one that has Richie and Eddie being gay together.
Jack Howard
Why can't he just trick them by taking form of a parent or sibling? Bookfags explain, I've always wondered
David Sullivan
Pennywise kind of turns into a shitposter by the end of the book. There's that scene where he tries to fuck with adult Mike in the library by sending a bunch of balloons that say "DERRY NIGGERS GET THE BIRD" (because It appeared to Mike and his dad as a giant bird on separate occasions) and his reaction is basically to just roll his eyes and walk away.
Colton Allen
I thought this was the biggest missed opportunity of the whole movie when they set it in the 80's. In the book he takes the form of classic 50's movie monsters a few times because kids were scared of the Wolfman and Frankenstein's monster or whatever. It's a goddamn travesty they didn't update that concept and have him shapeshift into Jason Voorhees or a pack of gremlins or something else from WB's catalog of 80's shit.
Ian Murphy
>watch trailer
>maybe she won't run towards the came-
>gets naked
Seriously sick of this.
Owen Hernandez
For me it's always going to be Tim Curry. That's the one I grew up with; I've seen TV It a couple dozen times now. I really just prefer everything about the original series, though they had to tone the violence down a bit (still, the original had Stan's decapitated head in a fridge). Curry performance is a fucking riot, but he manages to be sinister as well. He's a fantastic character actor.
I like what Skarsgaard is doing with the character, obviously it's really impressive what they can do with computers and shit to make him demonic on-screen.
Blake Barnes
Doesn’t he end up killing a bunch of the adults? It’s bern a while since I’ve read the book.
Mason Campbell
Tim Curry, I guess.
The problem is that the creature only appeared as a clown because it wanted to entice kids, and kids in the 50s didn't have all these weird, John Wayne Gacy associations with clowns. Now that clowns are creepy, having the character appear as a super creepy clown is just weird and ruins the whole point of the juxtaposition of cute and harmless with killer in a sewer. Picture Santa or something. That's how the creature would appear, because kids would be like, "hey, it's Santa, I should go near him." Some spooky Victorian clown is just a weird look to be catching kids, and makes him out to be some weird spooky clown as his natural self instead of a creature that disguises himself as the friendliest, most harmless thing imaginable.
Asher Johnson
Yeah It murders a shitload of people over centuries as America was being colonized.
Before that, It slept, or the true spider form fed on wildlife. But in the populated world, It can play mind games with the fully-formed conciousness of man, and use a hallucinatory character (Pennywise) to kill and retrieve human prey.
Samuel Hall
Fuck you, talking about source material is always relevant, you discussion nazi.
Jose Gutierrez
What was the context for all this? Was it some trippy dream. I have no idea how King thought that a child orgy was what the book needed.
Jaxson Morales
It's about the most innocent sex scene involving children I've ever read. And I've read a few.
Jacob Flores
So the movie should have had Pennywise look like what...Fortnite characters or Markiplier or something? lol that would be great
Jose Campbell
The clown is the grotesque terror aspect of It. The creature also takes many other forms, some of them falsely benign to gain the trust of others, only to inflict terror.
Noah Roberts
Unironically, the book was better.
Caleb Stewart
many people over the years, but only 1 of the losers
Gabriel Stewart
I actually saw an interview with the director where he hinted at the turtle being included in the second film. Dank if true
Parker Hughes
The themes of the book focus heavily on the transition from childhood into adulthood. King has stated that them having sex was the way the kids passed into being grown-ups. It is definitely jarring when you read it, but after reading his reasoning behind it it kind of makes sense in a coked out Stephen King kind of way.
Isaac Robinson
They should throw more money at this guy and do a proper film adaptation of the first or first two books of DT
Easton Ross
Ah yes, because Curry's appearance is so much more approachable, amirite? Don't kid yourself. No child would ever be tricked by either one.
Bentley Morgan
HELP GET ME OUT THERES KIDS HAVING SEX DOWN HERE IM NOT A PEDOPHILE HELP

the movie is absolutely better than the mini series imo. However Curry is incredible in the role. Not to say the new guys bad though.

>IM NOT A PEDOPHILE HELP
Am I the only one who remembers that Pennywise chased Eddie around and demanded he give him a blowjob?
Charles Morales
But that's what he literally was, an alien trying to pass itself as a clown.
Nolan Roberts
Old clown is better, way more scary. But the new film was top-notch, I really liked it.
Blake Johnson
anybody else got a boner?
Jaxson Taylor
>are you a blind nostalgiafag?
Dylan James
curry was regular clown, then something scary.
This one was something scary, then scary clown run BRAAAP sound.
the clown should be the normal leading into the scare, not viceversa.
