Sion Sono's films are the perfect dosage of weaponised autism, I can't hate them.
every villeneuve movie and almost every Nolan movie (prestige and the one with Robin Williams are ok). They are the biggest hacks in the industry
i thought pretending to like this was a joke for the longest time. this is a film an alien emulating humans would make.
Lrn2Tarkovsky OP
Stalker is kino
Au Hasard Balthazar is absolute shit though and anyone who defends it is reddit in my eyes
first half was kino second half was reddit
Lawrence of Arabia
I just cant get past the faggotry. furthest ive got in is 45 minutes
It's decent but everyone thinks that this is like a 132 minute orgasm or something, I don't get it
Is this the thread where psueds can pretend to be patrician?
LOL 4U AMIRITE
Along with the sequel. Which is weird since I love a good action.
I just watched it for the photography, and it sucks.
No, I believe people just get extremely high expectations from most of these highly acclaimed movies instead of just looking at them for what they are
Kino ending. A wish was granted, just not to any of the characters.
Stalker's speech to Writer about his loneliness as he helplessly tried to find someone in the world that could just see the Zone as it did to him nearly made me break in tears. The wife final monologue sealed that. No movie ever did that me.
Get the fuck out.
This flick made it obvious that Tarkovsky doesn't understand the language of cinema whatsoever.
Isn't that the other way around? Tarkvosky wants you to experience and feel the movie as opposed to just consuming it. That's how Stalker and Solaris clicked with me anyway. Too imersive which feels like cinema done right.
I honestly have no idea what I'm talking about.
>bresson is reddit
never change Yea Forums
Any capeshit besides the Nolan Batman trilogy.
Ironman 1
apocalypse now
any herzog werner film
any david lynch film
any woody allen film
any tarkovsky film
any bergman film
any criterion collection film(avoid like the plague)
anything with tom cruise
urbexp kino though
after watching it the 2nd time, i realized how shitty it was
same goes for babydriver. only thing about it is the foot chase scene
Agree with everything except criterion collection. Thems fighting words.
shawshank redemption
aka dindu nuffin the movie
the 2nd one is a better movie. it has better action
the nonstop action and zero story made me anxious in both, I found myself bored periodically.
at least reeves didn't have to act much, he's a terrible actor
criterion films are boring and are only watched by pretentious faggots
criterion takes a boring obscure film no one liked and slaps the criterion label on it. all of sudden people like it
both films suck story-wise. the whole point of john wick is the action
The Fifth Element
>any criterion collection film(avoid like the plague)
wow lmao
any scorcese
not that I would not enjoy them, many of them ended up in my top100 list. I just think he's overrated (as he's rated so high)
*blocks your path*
>Watch Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, The Departed and King of Comedy
>They’re literally all overrated
Fuck this gay earth. Raging Bull was by far his best though.
uh so what do you like
godzilla vs gigan
Most of Scorcese films, his Bostonesque films are so treaded that finding anything new in them is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Goddard films go without saying, grass roots in a Chinese pedestrian street.
PTA, the films just don't do anything for me. Everyone absolutely raves about them, when I watch them, it feels like I'm in a conceptual prison forced to watch a rough interpretation of a postmodern simulacrum.
Wes Anderson, the films ooze that distinct whimsicality in a world of odd pastels, but that's about it. I don't hate them, but you wouldn't ever hear me suggest one his films for a movie night.
James Cameron films. T2? Sure, I could watch it if someone absolutely insist. Doesn't go in my top 100 and neither do any other films of his.
>Scorcese
you cannot even spell it correctly.
This thread is a huge joke.
Who cares how he smells the guys name?
