Great cast give and great chemistry or take Olivia Munn

>Great cast give and great chemistry or take Olivia Munn
>Boyd Holbrook, never heard of the motherfucker but he was Based
>Based Thomas Jane
>Great action and creative gore
>Insight into the Xenoverse and adds cool content
>Great production value on par or surpassing Disney-Wars shit
>Tons of fun call-backs to the originals and Easter Eggs
>Genuinely hilarious banter that isn't cringy Marvel-quips and reminiscent of Cameron's Aliens
>Fulfills the concept without being too unbelievable
>Soundtrack is fresh but still in line with the original film

Why was this so poorly received? Is everyone just tired of these throwback franchises? I'd go as far as to say this is the best film in this franchise aside from the first one.

>First sentence, what the fuck

great cast, good chemistry, give or take olivia munn

Producers should be fined for wasting Tom Jane in shitty movies.

Last I heard Munn was sabotaging the entire project because the director cast or attempted to cast a sex offender, and it was negative review bombed during the #MeToo storm.

A shame, really.

Pretty much. I thought Alien: Covenant was the best installment in a long time, but critics hated it.

You really can't do anything right when it comes to these heavy nostalgia franchises. The next Terminator is sure to end that franchise as well, regardless of quality.

critics hated it... and y;know, everyone else

>lel get 2 da chopper
Stopped watching there. I actually want to be reimbursed for the half hour I spent watching someone else's copy of this.

this
I loved Covenant.

I only watched about a half hour of it, but holy fuck the cast is cringe as fuck. That whole scene on the bus was fucking terrible.

So what are you even talking about?

did we see the same movie? it was a really strange frankenstein of a film. it's moderately entertaining, but it's really jarring to see Predator turned into a comedy and the editing is awful - it's obvious that the second half was absolutely massacred in post (the entire final act was changed radically). I admired the balls it had to kill off likable characters in awful ways, but it's just one of those movies too weird to work well.

The ending was blue balls too, the suit (which is pretty stupid but I'll take it) should've been used to fight the Predator, not as sequelbait which will never happen.

This movie was fucking awful and i feel sorry for predator fans.
The director shouldn't be allowed near a franchise again.

they ruined the awesomeness of the very first Alien in which it terrorized an entire crew for the whole movie by allowing some bull dyke to kill not 1 xenomorph but 2 pretty much by herself in about 30 minutes. I can't forgive them for that pandering bullshit

I walked out of the theatre and i watched all of pacific rim: uprising. Thats how garbage this movie is based on the shit i'll sit through

Prometheus and covenant are good for the concepts alone. Very fun films on their own merits.

Weaponized autism

it wasn't that bad, Munn did a great deal of damage to it, but still I would rank em

> P1 > P2 > Predators > Predator > AVP > AVP2

total masterpieces

Yeah that about sums it up. Glad to see us retards are getting represented on the big screen.

>literal retards vs. extraterrestrials
As if "X v alien" movies wasn't enough.

Can't unsee
