Why are dreams in Inception still so grounded in reality...

Why are dreams in Inception still so grounded in reality? There's honestly very little dreamlike about their dream worlds. There's limitations, lack of freedom and control. In my dreams situations change in an instant and I can do the impossible. I'm not grounded by the laws of physics or virtually anything.
Seems like wasted potential to me desu.

>why are the dreams in a film where every single dream has to be as "real" as possible for the inception to take place so grounded in reality
huh, beats me

Because the entire point is for the constructed dreams in Inception to be as grounded in reality as possible.
Yeah it's not a Lynch film.

>“Dreams feel real while we’re in them. It’s only when we wake up that we realize something was actually strange.”
Literally spelled out in the movie for you. The dreams don't have to be grounded in reality, they just need to feel like a dream.

inception is a completely retarded movie that doesn't even follow its own rules that it spent the 90% of the movie trying to explain.

Yes, it was a shit movie. What's your point?

UH THOSE DIGITS

Christopher Nolan unironically only dreams about being in realistic action movies.

much better than my nonsensical dude weed lmao dreams

although I admit, they are kino sometimes. if only I could remember them.

I was disappointed as well. They even tease some of the crazy possibilities in the exposition part where the city is folded up. But then Nolan only gets to play out his 007 fetish.

>Why are dreams in Inception still so grounded in reality?
Here's my guess: they originally intended to use virtual reality, but the Matrix did it too recently and was too famous, so they switched to dreams, without adapting the story.

this was wasted potential: the movie

murricans need their epin kung fu, car chases and gunfights, I guess

Did you miss the part where their whole operation involved creating realistic dreams to incept ideas in people?

I don’t want to hear your dreamjournal btw

leo is only good at playing assholes

because Christopher Nolan is an unimaginable hack
also check these

>everyone tells me this is one of the most confusing movies ever
>the entire thing story is just about some dude trying to implant an idea into his estranged wife

brave nolan

But most dreams aren't realistic

I don't remember any colors in my dream too

99% of my dreams are absolutely ordinary situations, just with people from my high school/family/past work places all mixed up with each other.
