The answer is no, that cock sucker of a character doesn't even really exist in the books. The book antagonists are multiple and called "the Others", who look like barely visible reflections of frosting broken glass and just so happen to manifest cold that makes things undead when they die from it. Which itself isn't all that original because that's just a mix of Celtic faerie and middle eastern Jinn myth.
