I will never be rich, but I am also unlikely to ever be starving. As for having something to do, I feel sad that for you that's having tasks set by others. I never waste much of my time; I study mathematics, I read, write, work-out, go jogging, play acoustic guitar, and volunteer in my community. I agree that humans need to keep busy, but that can be positively improving yourself and community, not lining your CEO's pockets.

Most of us that contribute to these threads have experience as former NEETs. It was the worst time of my life. I was living with my parents, laid in bed all day either napping or shitposting. I lost all interest in movies or video games. Staying at home every day is only fun if you have your own place and a source of income, in which case you’re not actually a NEET.
