Halloween II should never have been made with Michael Meyers. Carpenter's original idea was to do a different Halloween story every year under the Halloween movie banner but putting continuing the original Halloween cemented the series as another slasher series which confused the fuck out of everyone when Season of the Witch was released.

I feel that all of the ones i put above it all have interesting aspects and bring something different to the table, but Halloween 2 is just a cash-in that Carpenter didn't want to do, that has Laurie asleep and crawling around for most of the runtime, Loomis fucking around on the other side of town, and michael just being a goon killing people at random rather than actually stalking anyone
