KINO

Why don't we have movies like this anymore? literally the Indiana Jones of our generation

being buried alive with flesh eating scarabs in the first five minutes of the movie is pretty hardcore for a kids movie

Jumanji had a somewhat similar adventure feeling.. but not as good as Mummy

>colonialism bad
pretty much that's it, they tried to reboot it but that has been panned as usually with this kind of movies, shame, it was pretty cool, a different take

I remember how this scene made my balls feel. I was writhing as I heard the screams with an odd sexual pleasure.

anyone else owned the special VHS of this with the holographic cover that made that mummy face feel a bit 3D?

the recent honest trailers hit on just how violent the movie is
>scores of people getting shot in the face?
>no blood no problem

i like the tom cruise one

absolute fucking kino

Brendan was so naturally athletic back in the day

The world lost its sense of whimsey after 9/11

he shouldn't have done his own stunts, or gotten married

Supernatural archaeology/adventure movie is literally the perfect premise for a Star Wars standalone film, but Disney are fucking idiots.

I saw that this was digitally remastered for 4k HDR. Was thinking of picking it up at best buy.

These bugs ruined it. They were really fast in the movie so he was probably dead within few minutes if not seconds. He couldn't even experience that dreadful feeling of being buried alive. To be honest he was lucky. Quick death, even if very painful, seems to be way better than waiting for hours, fully aware that you will suffocate soon and that there is nothing you can do about it.
I'm surprised they didn't defend and push this movie more. The actress was an actual African so they could pull Black Panther stunt, call haters racist and sexist. And BANG! 1B to save monster universe.

The Mummy (1932) and The Mummy (1959) are so much better

Me too. That connection between Tom and the mummy is very cool. Also the movie isn't as cartoonish as 90s one. I can forgive Jekyll's nonsense.

32 yes, Karloff was creepy there. His eyes and that subtle make up made him look like reanimated corpse. And that voice, so cold, so emotionless, so monstrous. 59 movie bored me a bit, Christopher Lee was better as Dracula.

Maybe, just maybe...

I only watched the 32 one and it was average at best. Karloff was the only really good thing about it.

Am I the only one who thinks of this movie more as a remake of "Mummy's Hand [1940]" than "The Mummy [1932]"?
Whole structure seems to be closer to Mummy's Hand. Even a ritual table the girl is cuffed at the end seems to be taken from 1940 movie.

such a cool movie, yeah, they don't make em like that anymore

Its a horror movie not a kids comedy you squeamish cunt.

There's as much of horror as in Indiana Jones unless you are talking about Cruise version.

little zoomer, know your place

people in the industry don't have any creative talent or vision anymore. All they are interested in is riding off established franchises and pushing agendas.

I remember seeing this with my dad. I miss him

I know this is obvious bait but, have you seen the fucking trailer for this thing? Jesus

We all miss brendan user, but he's still here

yeah, she is hot

The is her middle name, actually.

Its a horror movie you tards.

PG-13 ya nob

>Why don't we have movies like this anymore?
Because people do not watch them anymore. There was a reboot in a similar way, with stunts and traditional special effects, sets or locations. They actually wanted to make more of these adventure monster movies but people prefer CGI superheroes now. I guess we will have to wait. Maybe someday...
