Most overrated Movies of the Century
LYNCHED
They definitely have a point it has a weird following even among people who don't like Lynch, I agree it's far from the best from Lynch for me. But it's still very good.
Here was their reasoning, 100 % serious
> Scooping the number one spot as the best film of the 21st century on the BBC’s list and consequently the most over-hyped movie of the new millennium, David Lynch’s feverish, dreamy mind f*ck Mulholland Drive is the director at his most Lynchiest. The default favourite of seemingly most artsy-fartsy film critics, the film offers enough fodder for at least a thousand film theory dissertations and pseudo-intellectual discussions on what the hell it actually means.
> While we could talk ‘til the cows come home about non-linear narratives and Lynchian dream logic, Mulholland Drive – quite possibly one of the most over-analysed films of the 21st century too – is essentially the psychosis-induced, nightmarish reverie of Naomi Watts’ sexually frustrated failed actress nonsensically pieced together from an unfinished, rejected Lynch TV pilot.
I sometimes like to show my normie friends the diner scene and watch them loose their shit
I am thinking someone got LYNCHED.
How can anyone unironically believe this?, i'm a casual myself & i was blown away at how perfectly written & told the movie was. I literally cannot think of a single flaw
I'm struggling to finish Inland Empire
Am I getting Lynch'd
Twin Peaks is my favorite Lynch work (all 3 seasons and movie) and I enjoyed MD
His other works are a drag though, Barely managed to finish Blue Velvet and this is the 2nd time I try to marathon IE but I don't feel any desire to keep watching
I'm about halfway in. Does it get more interesting?
>watching 21st century movies
buzzfeed shall burn
It's true thought that the scene in the restaurant was a rejected TV pilot.
because it's flawless.
You can't >inb4 LYNCHED yourself, bro.
>their most overrated movie is the most critically acclaimed movie
How shocking. Let me guess, their pick for most overrated of all time is Citizen Kane? Truly original
Mulholland Drive is a masterpiece and I will accept no other assessment as valid.
every single lynch movie is overrated and no amount of memeing "LYNCHED" will change that fact
t. lynched man
>t. L Y N C H E D
filtered
desu knowing its origins as a rejected tv pilot only makes the final result's perfection even more impressive
Actually they called these the most overrated films ever
> The Shawshank Redemption
> Mulholland Drive
> Fight Club
> The Dark Knight
> Tree of Life
> The Wizard of Oz
> Boyhood
> Ferris Bueller's Day Off
> Inception
> There Will be Blood
> Amélie
>I'm pretty sure I'm connected to the moon
I love this man
Lynch totally looks like an italian satyrical comic book character called Don Zauker
Someone post the pic about the guy who tried to astrally attack Lynch's psyche through paramotional Z-Waves, but had them bounce back on him causing him to get a stroke, because Lynch's mental fortitude was too strong.
Haven't seen Tree of Life, or Boyhood, but that's absurd, what the fuck are they basing it on.
Particularly since some of the weaker films aren't incredibly popular (there will be blood, for example). Then you have nolan's two most polished films, shawshank is the best prison film, amelie is the best french quirky film, ferris bueller is (one of) the best teen films. oz is a classic. fight club is fight club. mulholland drive is peak lynch.
slightly triggered.
Critics bounce between knowing it’s a great movie and therefore acknowledging it because otherwise they look dumb, to acknowledging that they don’t get it and therefore pretending to be too cool for school by being contrarian and challenging it. The age of good media writers and reviewers has been dead since at least the Obama age. They wouldn’t know good art if it fucked them in their faggot ass or their feminist vaginas.
Stay away from lynch and go back to capeshit. There is literally nothing for you here.
>overrated films of the 21st century
>most films are from the 20th
Where can I watch his movies?
on this topic, do you lynchbois like Kubrick?
u got lynched
>I don't watch movies but I totally got this film 1st watch like haha it's brilliant!
Totally believe you cocksucking faggot. Kys
i have only seen Dune and Wild at Hearts and i like Kubrick, except for Eyes Wide Shut
have sex
ha
it's unironically not that hard to get at least broadly on the first run
Can I get my oneitis to think about me like that instead of her husband? If I jerk thinking about her, will it work?
Is this Buzzfeed?
>Buzzfeed
I actually agree with most of these except for Mulholland Dr and Ferris Bueller. Wizard of Oz is one I've always thought got more praise than it deserved, not even the best 30s musical
yes i like kubrick, but it's been 2 decades since i watched paths of glory
Nearly a century later, Oz had a hit musical based on the property. That is influence.
>re-purposing an edgy atheist meme
OH NO
>The Straight Story
>Overrated
Even with backing from Disney that film is criminally underrated
My poetry professor a few years back recommended I watch that. Never did thank him, great unique film.
You totally should if you ever get the chance. That movie is beautiful, and I rarely say that about movies.
Checkem
Buzzfeed deserves nothing but the memes from the bottom my bird cage
why the fuck is there will be blood on there? i thought it was certified tv kino
Wizard of Oz was the Avatar of its time
all of David Lynch’s flicks suck balls
>Are they right
No. Black Panther, Get Out, Inception, Interstellar and every Tarantino movie ever made.
>I don't understand it so it's overrated
>Bergfeed
Why do these low IQ mongs think that anyone cares about their brain dead "opinions"?
You could say that the movie itself went on a "Mulholland Drive" during its development . . .
These are the right answers. All sloppy B-movies that the MSM meme'd everyone into thinking was Oscar worthy
What is this bitch's favorite then?
Interstellar was a great cinema experience desu
>dreamy mind f*ck
>most artsy-fartsy film critics
>‘til the cows come home
this is truly embarassing, we are seeing a truly stupid person, not even memeing
