Ive been on a bit of a movie binge and i'm a bit interested in the classics. Any recommendations on a film? I'd prefer to start with a western or noir film.

You look up noir and it's all Maltese Falcon this and Big Sleep that and yes you should see those too, but the one you really want is The Killers. That's the one that changed everything.

Seconding this. One of the rare few romantic comedies that's actually funny, and feels surprisingly modern. Just goes to show how harmful the Hays code was to filmmaking.

watch kiss me deadly. I have no idea why it’s not more consistently talked about as one of the greats, but it has one of the greatest endings of all time
Be sure to watch "The Best Years of Our Lives" for Memorial Day... or else!
Got to see this for the first time on the big screen at Alamo Drafthouse around the Fourth of July, great experience. I believe it's two and a half hours long but it feels like 80 minutes tops
