what makes S8E4 worse than S5E6?

I don't understand how anyone can have watched this show before and be shocked when a character they like ends up dying? Do they really think this is going to end with a Happily Ever After?

I don't remember what S5E6 was I'm gonna assume something that had to do with the nonsensical Dorn plot or the Arya secret jutsu training/ascape plot.
Either way what makes the rating worse is that the audience has lost it's goodwill after seeing that the first 4 episodes of the last season are all letdowns and are lashing out.

people realized that with 2 episodes left, the writers aren't going to redeem themselves. The writing was just as shit in season 5, but people had space for theories and stuff
