Do you agree that for a show to be considered great it must pass thru the test of time?
If so, do you think GoT will be considered great in let's say 10 or 20 years or people will simply forget this show even existed?
Do you agree that for a show to be considered great it must pass thru the test of time?
GoT will be forgotten in two months tops
There is a tsunami of (((spinoffs))) ok no the way so it's not going away any time soon.
First seasons will be remembered by Nerds. Normies will forget everything in a couple of months.
Even most normies hate GoT now. Just wait 5 years and everyone will see just what a trainwreck it became
this. after 2 months you won't even see threads about it here.
Got will be remembered like Dynasty or Dallas is. People who weren't around at the time will wonder what all the hype was. Sopranos is already largely forgotten by normies, but patricians will always know and love it
the first four seasons are still good, people will still talk warmly about them.
they'll say: just watch the first four season, then stop
I disagree. Even today watching Sopranos is easily enjoyable and there are still many threads here about the show.
apologize now for comparing sopranos with game of diarrhea
It will be considered a flawed great, like Dexter or BrBa
Always.
BrBa isn't flawed wtf user?
the later seasons are shit so it wont stand the test of time
Jumped the shark after season 2, and season 5 was laughably bad
Where did I even compare those shows?
with the picture you implied it
It's going to be breaking bad all over again
Yeah, no way I'd compare those two. Sopranos is there to illustrate a show that stood thru the test of time.
a better comparison would be with Lost considering how both shows declined with quality season after season
nope, the first seaons were decent but not exactly amazing, and the recent seasons ruined any of the point of rewatching the early ones.
No TV show has stood the test of time. Sopranos is still good but it's only been about twenty years, in time it will fade away. It's not bad, but so far, no TV show, not even the best, has achieved anything worth posterity.
s1-s4 will probably stand the test of time, but i think most people will agree that everything after s5 was a fucking disaster
Sopranos is the one that comes close to it. Maybe Star Trek as well.
>Maybe Star Trek as well.
lol what no, everyone other than trekkies thinks that show is lame as fuck
It will be the Evangelion of non-anime.
>implying
that's twin peaks season 3
More like 5 weeks
the ending is already fucked up so bad that the show became retroactively lame. People will remember the show like people remember Breaking Bad (another bad ending, but not as bad) but not that many people will think it's great.
Sopranos on the other hand had the most based ending of all time.
Found the faggot
it won't be forgotten just by the virtue of being the most popular tv show around, but i think the drop (freefall) in quality will be acknowledged even by the most die-hard normies in a few years time
it wont be forgotten but it will be remembered for taking a nosedive in the final seasons
Especially not after this season. An unsatisfactory ending trumps everything.
dude beam me up lmao
just like the tsunami of Battlestar Galactica spinoffs?
ayy
It has entirely left the collective cultural consciousness
People still remember L O S T
Which ended similarly
a fizzle and a thousand loose ends
No but fortunately it will usher in the death of popular mainstream television, so many normies will be so buttblasted at the finale that they'll never commit to a show on the scale of GoT again. Which is great, although, the money won't be there for big budget television anymore.
go pace around your room user, your autism is showing
Are you saying GOT will usher in the end of the Golden Age of Television?
This
*The beginning of the golden age of TV
Yes
Sorry, you're in the Golden Age now, bro. It might not be much, but this is as good as it gets.
