The Walkers couldn't have gotten past the wall if Dany didn't help the North and lose a dragon in the process. She would have been better off ignoring the North and just continue taking Kings Landing.

Instead of surrounding the capital where all Lannister forces were situated, they opened the whole gameboard for Lannisters to play on, thus resulting with the loss of Highgarden.
And where tf is the intelligence in this show, Varys is literally a spymaster, having spies everywhere and not a single information about Euron's fleet or location of Lannister forces.

Dany's ships are caravels, caravels require 30 crew members and can carry 100 passengers. Which would mean that Dany would need +700 caravels... There is no way such armada wouldn't crash, Richard the Lionheart's fleet of 180, couldn't even make it to Jerusalem without being partially shipwrecked.
Furthermore, we constantly hear about how stormy the Narrow Sea:
