Not only do they appear, one of the tracks from the OST is literally called Greninja and Torterra and those two are my all time favorite starters. Golurk is my favorite Pokemon and he's also confirmed to appear. The cherry on top would be Kadabra, but my impossible dream would be for Porygon-Z to actually make it into the film. Then i'd be the happiest man alive.

Pikachu is my favorite Pokemon. What's more annoying though, is I have no idea if any other Pokemon are actually like Pikachu or not. But we will get through it one day - we love this game!

My favorite part about the game is the story and how it unfolds and the story progression through the course of the game. In the beginning of the game, the player has 1 Pokemon to raise!

Here comes Pikachu, he is a little bit older, a bit slower and has just grown up. It takes time for him to develop. It is interesting for the player how he will react to things. He will go to a place which is dark, where the other pokemon will go with him there. To protect his friends from danger he runs away.

He eventually meets someone called Dewey who gives him his first power! Pikachu can also use water to move.

Zapdos is a terrible Pokemon. Worse than any other Pokemon. It does everything except attack, which is a bit disappointing since Zapdos would otherwise be a great Pokemon. There's little reason to own Zapdos at all, especially since it's so damn weak to Fire. Zapdos has so much of a ceiling that I could see a lot of people just buying it. But why? Zapdos' attack is weak while its defense is weak and its speed is poor. Zapdos's typing is really terrible so why go against it? Why give up a Pokemon with the worst Pokemon in the game? Why let a crappy card in that game have all-purpose power? Zapdos has been in existence for a little while and it's actually still pretty fun. Even if people just keep their fingers crossed for it, I bet they'll keep their claws firmly pressed on some old Pokemon.
Zapoe-Zapoe is another legendary Pokemon that actually does stuff.
