Acting is fine, the character is just idiotically evil

Her acting is fantastic and its always been great. In fact most actors in the show are pretty great apart from Sansa and Arya being hacks.

It's 100% this and it's perfectly embodied in the character of Prince Doran. Perfectly cast, a great actor in the role and what do they do? Kill him off instantly to dumb-down the Dorne plot a billion times over. They gave him absolutely nothing to work with. He couldn't even get the character off of the ground.

They do fine with casting and acting. It's everything else that is shit, from production to writing to directing.

The crazy thing is, Benioff gave Elaria more screen time, because he was in love with the Actress's ability. Despite her being one of the weaker actors. Benioff pushes her retarded plot through, ruining Dorne, and then they abandon Dorne by killing off the actor that SHOULD have gotten the screen time.

Why do the GoT actors are given so few material to work with? All Lena Headey does during all 8 seasons (excluding the Mother's Mercy arc) is act smugly. We don't even get to see how she orchestrated the dragonfire bombing.

Secondly, glossing over the Dornish plot entirely was a disservice to what is a cool and unique region (the popularity of Oberyn alone speaks that they could've done a lot more with it). Or did you really think the teleporting Sand Snakes were hella f*ckin ebin? Reminder that the show said the capital of Dorne was "Dorne."
Whether it has a massive effect on the endgame or not is irrelevant. It's still better to have Dorne involved as at least a marginal player than pretending the entirety of the region doesn't exist. They do the same thing with the Stormlands and the rest of the Reach sans Tyrells. Where is Dorne and the Reach during these fucking wars? Just because some Tyrells got blown the fuck up, the entirety of the Reach is entirely absent? Both Dorne and the Reach were mostly untouched by the war.

It's just lazy shit-tier writing, plain and simple. Lowest common denominator simplification for mouthbreathing twats that just LOVE having their "expectations subverted", as if the subversion of expectations is some new and fresh thing and not a total fucking cliche at this point.

Fun fact, Cersei didn't even strip for the walk of shame and they put her face on another woman's body. Great """acting""". Melisandre actually got naked making her the better actress. Two of the best actors died in Season 1 (Eddard and Robert) so the Onions probably forgot about them and ranked them lower. The Ned/Rob scene where they reminisce about the past was like the fantasy equivalent of the restaurant scene in Heat. A movie the GoT watching zoomies probably haven't seen. Awful list.
