It comes from the greek word for movement you dipshits, it is pronounced with a hard k
>he camps the keno room in R6V
american hour
This is how you say it:
In Norwegian, we have two different sounds, "kj" and "skj", and the first one is used in kino. However, zoomers are now dropping that sound and pronounce every word that has it with "skj" instead. Not only does it make them sound three years old, but it also ruins our language.
the swedish word for "ceramics" for example, is spelled keramik and pronounced with the first k soft and the last k hard. So it sounds like Sheramic.
kai-no IS how it is and you can suck my american dick
GINO
It's "kino" like in "albino".
Albino doesn't even have a k in it you stupid cunt

Someday I'm going to build a machine that harnesses this specific kind of autism. Then I'm going to hook it up to a speaker that just repeats the word Kino over and over.
Say it with me now
k-eye-no
>it also ruins our language.
You cannot ruin a language, drittunge. Languages are made by the people who speak them, and if people choose to simplify how they pronounce certain sounds and words, that only means the language evolves. That's always for the better - any language too weak to last, is too bad to exist. I say sjokolade, sj/ino, s/kjoett, s/kjemi, s/kjole, and I'll keep saying it until the day I die
What I love about the autism meme is that you can have an argument someone over 20 posts where he puts in the exact same amount of "effort" (if you can call imageboard posting effort) and in the end he calls you an autist when he runs out of arguments
I pronounce it KHNO (one syllable). Except I have never said it aloud.
So it's Norway (soft k) vs. Eastern Europe (hard k)?
>le language descriptivist meme
norwegian is a joke, stop taking it seriously
>I say sjokolade, sj/ino, s/kjoett, s/kjemi, s/kjole, and I'll keep saying it until the day I die
He means the 'i' sound, bud.
It's "kee-no" you fucking clapistanis. Stop fucking with my language you stupid dimwits

I have never met a respectable person who talks like this. You should listen to teenage niggers talking in Oslo, their vocabulary is about 50 words or so, most often punctuated by screaming Wallah! or Jeg sverger!.

Using kino to "shitpost" on Yea Forums is already autistic enough.
Saying it out loud in a conversation is fedora and trench coat level.
unless you're german ofc
Oh, wow, they sound exactly the same as the foreigners in Sweden.
>Wallah
>jag svär
>koran
And for some reason they have this one sound "kookoo" which is something like "wow" or "damn".
so checked and kek'd are pronounced identically?
>he doesn't discuss the finest kinos with his inner voice
Wallah is just Arabian, you hear that in germany too
Oslo er vårt, pappagutter. Snart nok er resten av landet vårt også.

Yeah, it means "I swear". If you suspect a kanack to not tell the truth tell him to "say wallah" and watch him squirm.
It's a Japanese word. きのう
Hva om jeg banker dritten ut av deg din neger
it's obviously pronounced like "cino" as in Cappuccino, which it is derived from.
>So it's Norway (soft k) vs. Eastern Europe (hard k)?
German Kino is with a hard k as well.
it's not a word for film tho.
it's just the word for cinema as in cinematography and cinema houses.
Basically only used when you say
>I'm going to the kino
>the k sounds like alb
what the actual fuck with this guy
and kinography of course
I say kino our loud and then I giggle when people ask me what it means while I give a vague answer
Yeah, but it doesn't change the pronounciation.

I asked Transformer (talktotransformer.com) how it's pronounced. This was it's answer:
>How is 'kino' pronounced? Here are some tips to help you pronounce it properly:
>If your children pronounce kino as a "ka"-sound, then your kino may be pronounced with the lower "k" while the middle "l," the first "l" and "h" are pronounced as "k."
>Kino is pronounced with the left speaker's nasal voice, so if you use this pronunciational guideline the wrong way, you will likely hear the left speaker's voice over the right speaker's in the final syllable. Your children will eventually learn this way of pronouncing kino.
>If you wish to pronounce kino as an infinitive (such as "KU-nee-ta"), use a sound that is closer to the front of your voice. That sound is the fricative and sounds like "keeo."
>A word search of the Internet will turn up numerous "K" pronunciations around the web. There are some websites that recommend you pronounce it as "ka."
>then your kino may be pronounced with the lower "k" while the middle "l," the first "l" and "h" are pronounced as "k."
The proper way is to inhale during the K, not exhale.
>cinema is "kino" in my country
>laugh everytime I go to the kino
Help
It's Norwegian and probably others too. Here it's more like shi-no.
read the thread before posting tryggve
Try saying "kino" while inhaling the whole time. Shit legitimately made me laugh.
it's pronounced exactly like hygge prove me wrong protip you cannot
>B-but at least the boo-
“No!”
...what?
Jeg har aldri brukt "kj" lyden ever, fuck deg. Ingen reager på det.
Vedder på at du ikke en gang runker til baserte feller engang. Du er definitivt ikke kjino, det er helt sikkert.
>Yea Forums Television and Film is wondering how 'kino' is pronounced.
I would ask these questions:
(1) Does it begin with kino or kino?
(2) What does the English word 'kanon' mean? (English, and all other North American languages, mean 'a little bit of').
(3) In 'Kino' comes an ending – kan. Is this to be preferred or must kan stand for 'the place'?
Thanks! —

Hannibal writes:

It does stand for kino place. This should be taken into consideration because, as with Japanese, there is also a distinction made about kan being used in an imperative manner that it is only used in an imperative verb or noun; i.e., not something as part of an adjective. The exception there though is for the verb kan, not because it has the potential to be a verb
sounds like a black people name
KEKED HEARTILY
I like how you're writing in English to blame young Norfags for "ruining" your language. Pretty sure the internet is doing it way faster than lazy kids.

>Speak Norwegian to your dog
