Lets be honest for a moment

lets be honest for a moment
when was the last time you've been truly entertained by a movie or show?

I haven't actually watched a film or show for around three years. So I guess it was sometime before that.

Last week I was rewatching firefly. Oh and altered carbon did a good job.

Loved Roma and The Favourite. Also just recently watched Twin Peaks for the first time, and I liked it

>movies
I rewatched the Star Wars prequels apparently completely forgetting how great they sounded. That was a great time. Everyone who says the sequels are better is clearly deaf, retarded or both.

>TV show
Liv and Maddie. A nice, wholesome sitcom with that style of self-aware writing that I enjoy. Season 2 was a bit of a mess, but it still averaged out to be enjoyable and funny... oh, and Dove Cameron is a national treasure!

Prison break season 1

>movie
>american gangster and training day few days back, both kinos

>show
>sopranos two years ago

Just now, watched Prospect (2018). Was pretty blown away, desu. Thanks to whichever user suggested it a couple days ago.

Yesterday with Alfred Hitchcock Presents. I watched the Hands of Mr. Ottermole and A Man Greatly Beloved and they were both really enjoyable. Ottermole was a kick since it was dealing with serial killers in a 1919 setting while being written about in 1957 which was still really fucking early for understanding serial killers anyway, and Greatly Beloved I thought was going to be annoying because of the little girl but it was actually a fun story and didn't go how I expected it to.

I thought Split was really good, Hacksaw Ridge and Infinity War were highly entertaining to me too.
I tried the US Office and it was okay but it's one of those 'background noise' shows you just sort of have on.
I guess the last TV show I really loved was series 1-5 of Peep Show.

Havent watched a new movie since sicario 1. Havent watched TV since the first episode of better call Saul.

Cabin in the woods or first season of Rick and Morty. At least when it comes to normie tier shit, I watch a lot of arthouse stuff and indie horror
>Inb4 hurr Durr Rick and Morty
It wasn't bad the first season and incels hadn't laid claim to the show yet, felt like a cool little secret

Today watching the latest episode of one-punch man.

I just watched an anime where the main character gets accused of being a rapist by a princess because of feudal court politics so he buys a racoon girl child slave and raises her to be his knight because hes too weak to fight alone. He later finds a magic chicken that turns into a little girl and abducts the crown princess. The three girls compete for his affection as he finishes his slide into mental instability/a mercantile empire.

Entertained. All the time, something can be bad, cheesy, silly, etc... and still be entertaining if you watch it with the right mindset.
Blown away from a high artistic point of view is something else and comes much rarer.

recent (1-2 year old) kino shows:
Waco
The Terror
Counterpart
Taboo

I watch older stuff all the time so no problem

>drive
>john wick

Tatsumaki affects me in ways that no anime girl ever has.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space (last week)

i enjoyed The Mule

The mighty boosh

Doom Patrol

watched dead ringers recently, liked it
watched endgame in the cinema, was moderately entertained

True detective season 1

kys

I'm not sure. I only watch things to pass the time until I die. I don't care how popular it is or how much money it makes or what it is about. I don't really enjoy anything.

they overdosed on the nonsense a bit but Legion was fucking great
Haunting of Hill House
The Expanse
Jessica Jones season 1, only because of Kilgrave though

The only movies and shows that bring me joy are the same movies and shows i've been watching for years. I think I'm an autist.

bad lieutenant is so fucking good and also my answer to op, when i watched it for the third time three months ago

ah-bloo-bloo

Attack on Titan is fantastic
One Piece sometimes gets me still, i watch a fan edit that takes out all the filler (called One Pace)
The first 4 seasons of Game Of Thrones were fantastic too

If it wasnt for japs there wouldnt be anything i care about

very nice

does the sonic trailer count?

unironically:
Crank
Crank 2
FF7
and I’m also buzzing for
Hobbs and Shaw

a week ago or so. Rewatched John Wick 1&2. I really enjoy Keanuu Reeves as an actor and the movies themselves are really good.

Twin Peaks season three

youtu.be/b4egC00K7Dg
That was the last movie I watched, I found it more enjoyable than I thought it would be. I think the last show was something related to WW2, but I didn't manage to finish it

One Punch man was pretty entertaining.

Game of Thrones still entertains me, even tho when it ends I realize none of it made any sense.
