>Dexter
We don't speak that name around here.
>Mass Effect 3
funny you mention that
Oh it absolutely will be worse than Dexter
Personally, my most hated series finale is HIMYM, but I can see this ending up being worse than that too.
We have more than enough demonstrable evidence the show writers don't care and that DnD don't even watch the final edits of the episodes anymore, miss pronouncing names and talking about their goofy action scenes exclusively instead of character progression.
This was always a character driven drama in a high fantasy setting, now it's high fantasy for the sake of vapid fan fantasy fulfillment at the expense of real effort in the character writing.
jesus christ, not one drop of testosterone in that group of people.
Even those normturds realise that, their beloved series is long gone
How do writers like this even get hired? Even I could do better.
I want to suckle on Bessies tits
That must be why you're making Game of Thrones and not D&D. Maybe you could do better, you're an un-motivated pile of shit like the rest of us and have no drive to actually be successful when it comes to media and shit like this.
yeah, David Benioff had such a good resumé before GoT (wolverine origins LMAO) and the other dude had literally done nothing.
They got the gig because (((Hollywood)))
>worse than Dexter
You think the state of this show isn't already worse than where Dexter was by episode 4 of it's last season?
There is always more room to fall, there is no such thing as rock bottom and records were made to be broken. GoT will have the worst received series finale of all time
I have to disagree, but that's just me
Dexter and Lost will be Le Creme de Shit despite what we know about how /got/ ends this season. It will be close, but not worse than those two despite what we already know.
I can respect that.
But in terms of public disgust over the show's conclusion, I think the main stream fandom is going to riot when they put Bran on the iron throne lol
they actually got the gig because they literally googled and ripped off basement dwelling nerd theories on who Jon's actual mother was
so I mean the basement dwelling nerd posting on Yea Forums saying he could do better genuinely kind of resonates here
nope its because hes not a kike and the most basic prerequisite of being anything in hollywood is being a member of the "tribe"
You can do better, user.
>HIMYM
Yeah, that's pretty much the king as far as bad finales go. Especially since the fucking fucks actually had edited a perfect ending but relegated it to bonus feature.
The funny part is that it's all due to them pandering to the s4 crowd.
The course correction they're having to do to weld their previous material to the ending they were given is clear as day, and they have absolutely no excuse BECAUSE THEY KNEW HOW IT WOULD END FROM DAY FUCKING ONE.
Dexter ending will never be topped, not even by the shitshow that is GoT
>Worse than Mass Effect 3's
That is a tall order but if anyone can do it these guys can
HIMYM finale is the ultimate pleb filter
They already managed to do that with Andromeda
Andromeda was solid gold by comparison
ME3 was a shitshow because of blatant lies leading up to it, the staggering incompetence and the absolutely insane damage control ran after the fact.
Andromeda only had the incompetence down, since nobody gave a shit about it otherwise.
It's already worse, only 6 episodes with the most terrible writing in history (but only until The Witcher comes out)
Oh I fucking hope so, I will enjoy all the REEING, the only good thing to come out of this show.
>GoT causes mass disappointment among normalfags
>The Witcher comes in on the tail end of that disappointment, raises normalfag hopes and then dashes them again
>LoTR puts the final bullet in the corpse of tv fantasy adaptations
>WoT gets cancelled as execs move on to the next fad
>a few years on, normalfags watch the first few seasons of GoT, and either get triggered by it, or realise the stark difference in quality, then write edgy "hot takes" about how it was never as good as people pretended
>the battered body of fantasy finally escapes from bandwagoning faggots that don't care about it outside social media, and after a few years they stop pretending to care about it altogether
Good end
>How do writers like this even get hired?
Jewish cronyism
what is the original scene they are reacting to
not really, they will just gobble up the YASSSSS QUEEN SLAY (feminism) and AYOOOOO MY NIGGAZ (PoC empowerment) and ask for more.
They will, but it will be in a different genre.
That model of pandering is unsustainable, and the reactions to this season is proving it. If the Witcher doesn’t open with a white man being castrated while everyone chants in ritual, they’ll chimp out about it.
>worse than Dexter
Called it a while ago too
>tfw dropped dexter way before the shitshow
>tfw dropped got way before this shitshow
which fat girl is bessie?
What's the source of that webm?
Someone post the horse drawing meme
>worse than me3
nothing is or will be worse than me3 ending
And the our PRINCE AND EMPEROR shall rise with warhammer fantasy kinomatic universe
The ending isn’t even the worst bit of writing in 3
treadmill.mp4
Already has. It's done.
The shit they pulled at Winterfell was the icing on the cake.
It's that stupid bar with a YouTube channel that shows GoT every weekend
Can't remember the name but you can Google it.
>people forgetting the ending to Lost
What an absolute shitshow
so it's understood that D&D are two mentally devective homosexuals who networked in the hollywood gay scene, right? there is no other explanation
>They got a job for guessing Jon's parentage
How the fuck is that a qualification. R+L=J has been fucking obvious for years, I don't get why ANYONE is shocked by it, it's been on the table since book 1.
>doomed
It's going to be incredible. Fan favourites dying left, right and center and everyone freaking out. I hope at the end only 3 extras survive and Bran.
idk could be the opening or a tyrion's tit joke
I figured that out after reading book 1 and people called me dumb for it.
Never watched Lost, but how could it be worse than this?
lost had kino ending, if you didnt get it it means you are stupid
>Mass Effect 3
I will never stop being mad. My wife Tali, bros...
Lost ending was based, only brainlets like you hate it.
Some of the comedy in GOT has been reminding me of later bioware's humor, really lame.
Hollywood is 90% Jewish nepotism and 10% actual talent
don't you know that there is a fucking general?
Stop making more GOT threads.
>HURR THEY ARE ALL IN A CHURCH LIKE PURGATORY OR SOMETHING
Go away Snyderfag, obvious religious symbolism does not equal good writing
So what show will the dregs of Burlington Bar latch onto next and inevitably ruin?
This will never not make me laugh
>christian shephard literally spells out the explanation of everything
>still doesn't get it
nice smooth brain you got there my guy
>obvious religious symbolism does not equal good writing
nice take on the finale... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
Holy fuck. Neither one really didn't do anything prior to GoT. I thought it was just a joke.
You can't end worse than Mass Effect. You simply can't.
Absolutely hated the music to both of those. Sounds like shit you get when a bunch of bored teenagers who never played an instrument in their life try out the pianos at guitar center.
They're comparable. Dexter had three amazing seasons (1/2/4) but went for eight and ended on a nadir. That's pretty bad, but GoT has numerous anticlimaxes and is also poised to end at its lowest point. GoT started falling apart in S4 with the lazy gutting of the Dorne and Iron Islands stories, so it has the same number of actually good seasons as Dexter, which are also front-loaded in the show's career, and remains bad for a similar length of time while also progressively getting worse. I think GoT has higher highs and lower lows in its seasons 5-8, whereas Dexter is consistently middling. The main reason why I would say GoT is worse, is because it promised a lot more, and subsequently failed far worse; combined with the show's explosion in pop culture, creating a bigger mess of the thing than was done with Dexter. With GoT, incompetent writing has ruined many more characters than it did in Dexter, simply because of the scale of the story.
It can and it will.
>you know what would be funny?
>making a music video in this episode
>of quick edits between chamberpots full of shit and people eating food
>also make sure to get shots of the character gagging and almost puking
>t. jewish
HOW does it all end?? It can't be THAT bad, can it??
>Mass Effect 3 ending
Don't remind me
Lost was really good all the way through simply because of the actors.
Same goes for GoT mostly. People are just bitchier nowadays.
Can someone post the other vid in that clip?
>no WoT adaptation
I'm ok with this
As long as Dany dies I'll be content with the ending.
Seems like it. It's as if they just wanted done with the show and ended it in the fastest way possible.
We all do, but sadly it's all an illusion. She just uses a push-up bra. Her tits are actually quite small and pathetic looking.
>Do what you must, I have already won
He ended up fucking his sister right?
A lot of people are talking about Dexter ending but I never watched the show at all. Can someone give me a quick rundown?
I think he went innawoods
fake-dies in a TSUNAMI and goes to northern canada innawods as an incognito lumberjack
S4 was good if not great as it still followed the books 90%, S5 was where it really had issues.
It looks like /got/ will end up with 4 good seasons, 2-3 okay-mediocre ones, and 1 awful last season to unceremoniously end the whole thing which has essentially been 10 years of televison and the end of an era with HBO and pirating.
Only time will tell if /got/ will have a long cultural impact, especially with the prequels/spin offs in the works, it looks like it will stay in memory for another 5-10 years atleast.
My only regret is not seeing the hilarious implication of race lifting Rand and keeping his denial of being adopted.
>last season writing is all over the place
>very obvious the writers don't know how to end
>last episode he fakes his death and becomes a lumberjack
the writer wanted to have it end with him in the electric chair reflecting on his life, but the studio wouldn't allow it
I sincerely believe that in a few years to come, GoT will, like LoTR, be the target of people shitting on it for attention. The onions crowd will target the early seasons that weren't cancerous pandering, and the video essay crowd will focus on how the later seasons went to shit.
Unlike LoTR, there will be few people willing to bat for it, since the people who would defend the early seasons would do so by pointing out how superior it is to the end product, and people who defend the later seasons would be fucking brain dead.
Watch seasons 1-5. Then stop, fifth season ending is the best, it closed most of the themes. The latter seasons nosedived hard.
>Dexter
Please I don't want the pain to return
>Unlike LoTR, there will be few people willing to bat for it
Wait what? I wasn't even aware people gave lotr crap, it's a genuinly good trilogy in my book.
The hobbit is trash though and I don't understand how anyone can see that as not a cash grab, because that's what it was, they spent 3 movies on what was a single book of content.
lotr is weird for me, as a bookfag there's so much shit changed and not included that i want to be mad, but the movies are 10/10 pure kino
They mostly don’t get much traction, because the people doing it tend to be attention whoring brainlets like cuck wendig who can get btfo by a ten year old.
but that's what I mean, the movies are good for what they are but the same can;t be said for GoT after it started drifting from the book materila post S5, really coming to a head with S7 and now S8 that seems like a total fanfiction
which season was it when his sister found out about him in the final episode?
Sixth.
ebin
Well guys, if it's going to end bad anyway, i wish it gets the most autistic and senseless end of a shitshow. Something like
>Brien ends up as the Queen and Tormund as King
>Daenerys dies because Drogo eats hear
>Jamies Hand changes into the Sword of Azor Ahai and burns through Cerseis body
>Euron gets his dick blastet of by a defect Scorpio
>Bran enjoys Sansas Rape in warglooping and can't come back anymore.
>Jon flees to Meereen and starts a new romantic story with the Mountain
>Hound gets attacked by LoZ Chicken and dies
>Arya changes her name into Morhairis Dorghulis and becomes a lesbian couple with Theons sister
>Bronn really gets High Garden
>Tirion gets shot by a crossbow in the same toilet he shot his father
>Joffrey comes back after all died and says "it was a prank bra"
Bioware was definitely going for indoctrination. Whether or not you think they pulled it off is up to you. I thought it was done well.
Light at the center of the island is the same as the light everyone walks into in the church, this is the heart of the "mystery", most of small instances can be explained by "straaaaange electromagnetism". Honestly don't get most of the bitching about LOST. Character stuff was great, mysteries were serviceable, sounded amazing, thematically consistent (as far as i remember). I really don't get why people say that most of the stuff wasn't answered, on a rewatch i was even disappointed at how most of the stuff is explained with electromagnetism.
Unironically worse than the original endings
I honestly believe this is the greatest picture on the internet and perfectly sums up the entire state of the world
It’s going to be Danyfags and bulldykes who hate all white men who are most angry. Why is Yea Forums acting like everyone here isn’t going to love it and forget all about Arya and the NK?
>GoT is doomed to end worse than Dexter or Mass Effect 3
There is literally no way it can end worse than Dexter unless if they made Dany the ruler
The original ending is indoctrination.
Dexter was a long time ago but from what I remember it ended a hundred times better than this shit and this show isn't even over yet.
>watching lost after Season 1
It's worse.
With ME:3, we didn't know what a trainwreck it was going to be before we got there.
With this, we've already seen it go off the rails. Now we're just watching, powerless and numb, as it heads straight for a ravine.
>watching Lost after the pilot
GODS i love this silly shit
>Warhammer fantasy kino
Honestly, they'll fuck it up.
They can have all the source material laid out for them, all the stories pre-written for them in the lore, they can even have someone summarize and simplify it for them so they understand the the motivations and overarching ideas at play, and they'll still fuck it up by trying to pander to the lowest common denominator of humans. That's just Hollywood - they're too big to succeed because there's too much money at stake, too many different investors holding everything up, that they have to play it safe and "stick with what works" (see: dog whimpering and covering its eyes, oooo right in the infinity stones, etc.), trying to satisfy everyone at once, even though only risk brings real reward, otherwise everything just ends up too safe and predictable like it is now.
But honestly, even though they'll fuck it up, I still want to see a WH kinoverse. Just the visual designs and gritty basic concepts alone are interesting, if "problematically male-centric" for "modern tastes".
I'm still waiting for someone to edit the scene right before this, where he's trying to get Jon to drink, so that he's shoving a starbucks cup in his face instead of the horn.
Wait, add to that:
>Now waiting for someone to edit the entire celebration scene so that all instances of a wine cup/chalice are starbucks cups and every wine flagon is a coffee pitcher
>Jon runs through the dragonfire and gets to Bran in time
>has an actual fight against him
>gets killed
>night king turns him into a zombie and orders him to kill Bran
>right before he does, a fire spreads from his wound and his eyes turn red, sword catches on fire
>fights night king again and wins, then burns up and disappears
>danny takes the throne but cirsei escapes and has her child
>cut to years later and danny has become a mad queen
>gendry and cersei's child are leading a rebellion against her
>cersei's child kills her and sits on the iron throne
>cut to credits
>it's like pottery, it rhymes.
Is The Wire still better? I haven't watched Season 4 because people say that it's shit. Or is season 4 too depressing??? I'll have to finish it.
breaking bad should've ended when gus died. THAT ending was better than the edgy shitshow we got.
But yes. dumb and dumber are fucktards who are completely lost with this show.
Which one fucked a horse? I forgot.
Why? Loved that show as a kid. Never should have rebooted it though.
>South America
Your question should be which hasnt
Was Dexter an incel?
Hard to say. He was definitely -cel, but the in- part may not apply due to not being near puberty yet.
>gendry and cersei's child are leading a rebellion against her
it was cool till this
Can't believe you reminded me of Mass effect 3 you son of a bitch
Why
The afterlife is not the real end to the story. Just a side thing.
i prefer this ending desu
me too
Could you feasibly edit the last few seasons to be better? There's an hour's worth of deleted scenes between all seven seasons so far, I wonder if you could reorganize them and add/subtract footage to make the last few seasons decent.
how bad is dexter's ending?
never got past season 3
never will
wait whos head is that?
is that fucking neds head?
>Dexter
they could've had top crime final season with him being revealed as a serial killer and escaping police, while we watch others processing it. but no...
cersei
I'd say It is a bit of both
>Tfw unmotivated goy
oh nice
season 4 is worth watching
i sat through every season of dexter, even 6 which was the worst tv i'd watched at that point - i couldn't make it past episode 3 of season 8
think about it, i couldn't be bothered to invest the last 5 hours to top out something i'd already invested 70+ hours in
Lots of sister fucking
BESSIE
He kills Deb. He abandons his kid with another serial killer. The end scene leaves the possibility of another show to happen.
>With ME:3, we didn't know what a trainwreck it was going to be before we got there.
Fucking excuse me? Did all the pre-release info as well as Mass Effect 2 not exist in your timeline?
You're either slow in the head or very young because the shit that was wrong with ME3 was apparent from the moment you boot up the game, hell, a lot of it was already present in ME2 (dumbing down of gameplay/rpg mechanics in favor of crowd-pleasing bullshit)
Dragons and dragon fire is severely weakened in the tv show. Book dragon fire would have carbonized the ballista arrows mid air before they even reach the dragons.
ME2 was a bad sign (Hey, remember everything you did and everyone from the first game? Well now it's mostly gone/reset, enjoy all these different plots and characters!), but it was sealed in the first scenes of ME3, where you're escaping the exploding planet, and Shepard stops to try and save the FHFJASDHGJKLASHD kid who crawls into the vent, and it's been like 45 minutes of cutscenes since the last paragon/renegade prompt, and as I'm fucking waiting to get the "ok fuck you then, bye" renegade prompt, I'm sitting here watching Shepard obsess over this one shitstain (amongst thousand more who are dying all around) for like another solid two minutes, while everything's crashing around him, and then the kid, with that annoying emotionless child voice actor, delivers that line that threw me so off that I couldn't come back:
>"You can't save me!"
As he crawls further into the vent, out of sight. I don't even fucking know where to start. It is possibly the biggest example of shit writing that I can think of. Like a damsel in distress shouting "You have to save me!", it beats the player over the head with the obvious situation playing out and blatantly states Shepard's conflict in the most obvious terms, and, fuck, you would just never do that as a writer. It's like writing 101: SHOW, DON'T TELL. But from the character perspective it's even more frustrating: What the fuck kid would say something like that in that situation? Not like "What can you even do!? I have to get out of here!", but just a blatant, deadpan, "you can't save me". And then this haunts Shepard? Not like, his crew who got eaten by Thresher maws as he listened to their screams for hours when he was the lone survivor like I CHOSE IN HIS FUCKING ORIGIN STORY, but this one fucking kid he didn't even know and interacted with for all of like 3 in-game minutes. For like the ENTIRE FUCKING REST OF THE GAME IN YOUR DREAMS OVER AND OVER AGAIN STRAIGHT UP UNTIL THE FINAL CUTSCENE.
His sister found out, he ends up making decisions that get her killed, he abandons his children and lives a lumberjack with a traveling lumber company.
The perfect ending would have been S4. Dexter realizes that he CANNOT have a family and be a serial killer. They are incompatible, and his attempt to live that life resulted in the mother of 1 of his children and 2 other children being orphaned. He should have abandoned them all, left Deb a confession and gone innawoods at this point. That would have been the best ending.
Imagine the wonder. Imagine this grounded show, where magic is only hinted at, where the rules of reality are always followed. Imagine that show having a Dragon Queen and 3 Dragons descend on them. The wonder of this grounded world being bombarded with magical enemies. The fire of dragons and the walking icy dead ravaging this grounded world. 8 seasons of payoff
lol nvm we never even get a scene of the dothraki having trouble adjusting to cold, or reacting to snow. they just get wool jackets
>grounded reality show
I've been pissed for 8 seasons that all this "Game of Thrones" business never once talked about ensuring there were agricultural surpluses to feed armies and that main trade routes were guarded to ensure that the raw materials from the hinterlands can be made into processed/artisan goods in the castle-towns.
just one character who actually knew how pre-industrial society worked would have been nice.
That's what makes it good adaption. The difference in formats don't just allow for major differences in how stories are told, they absolutely require it. The time difference in consuming a novel and a movie is the biggest factor and what Jackson was able to do for the condensing of the story to translate it to 150ish minutes of screen time each was as close to perfectly done as humanly possible
Any other bookfags here think GRRM came up with the extended season mechanic to explain way how they could always keep growing more food for army after army and campaign after campaign?
Not even a plausible theory
LOST at the very least was still entertaining until the end because most character development was well written, despite the loopholes in overall plot.
littlefinger death
