/tp/ - Twin Peaks

Was Leland molested/raped when he was a child? He used suspicious language like Bob entering him or coming inside him or something like that

just here to support /tpg/

bravo op

Not even subtext, he was definitely raped by Bob. Lynch had already vacated by the time Leland died, though, so I've always thought his portrayal in FWWM as being more complicit than in the show was truer to the original intention.

/tpg/ not /tp/ you fucking retard. convinced you're a bot at this point.

Why are you so rude

He was possessed by Bob at a cabin by a lake his parents went to visit when he was... I want to say ten years old? It might be 12, it's been a while.

If you want to take being entered by a forth-dimensional suffering demon as "rape", which you probably should, then yes.

I think he's probably just retarded. I tried explaining it to him weeks ago and he still hasn't figured it out.

I'll say again what I've said to other retards who ask questions like this:
When you're watching kino, whatever the people say and do is to be taken literally. Yes, the stories that are told can often be metaphorical or allegorical. But that has no bearing on the in-universe events. Twin Peaks is about a literal demon literally possessing a man. Leland was not raped, he was possessed. The possession is just used in the story as an obvious metaphor for rape/sexual abuse.
Stop asking retarded questions. Use your fucking brain.

Why didn't Laura's mom stop the rapes?

Did you see the movie?

>Leland was not raped, he was possessed. The possession is just used in the story as an obvious metaphor for rape/sexual abuse.
Bob is a rapist who literally rapes Laura and is trying to use her as a new vessel. The implication is that his vessel prior to Leland raped him. Try and keep up.

Can someone explain season 2 to a retard (me)?

>Still haven't sat down to watch fire walk with me or the return yet because I'm a pleb and know I won't get anything
I-i just really enjoyed the atmosphere and Leland plot

Just do it, it's worth it for the Bowie scene alone

>The implication is that his vessel prior to Leland raped him
No, it's not. BOB was raping Laura for the animalistic pleasure and to feed on all of the garmonbozia she released from being raped by her own father. Him trying to possess her and him raping her were two completely separate things. Try and keep up.

Just go into it knowing that it is absolutely nothing like the original run of the show. The movie and The Return are closest to the season 2 finale, with all the crazy weird surreal shit going on. If you liked that, you'll love them. If not, you'll probably hate them.

where the fuck did all the peaks bros go? these threads used to go all day but now they fizzle and die

Oh gee I wonder, it could possibly have nothing to do with the fact that the show ended.

I'm talking like a couple months ago, genius. This only recently started happening.

For the last time

Can we talk about Reddit faggot theories convinced he raped Laura even when BOB wasn't in control? In fact, a bunch of those hipster nerds come up with totally unwarranted theories and opinions all the time. I guess Leland crying about how he's abusing his daughter and didn't know why went over the retards' heads.

Sheryl Lee is ____!

Yeah, for sure.

Pretty sure he cries in the movie or the missing pieces in a moment of clarity as well. Ray Wise even said it was Bob who's responsible for the violence and rape.

retard alert

get out of your own ass

laura's mom was possessed by judy in the 50s

It's okay, patricians don't get it either.

He basically says Bob was his neighbour as a child

The movie is very jarring with how different it looks and feels compared to the show but it grew on me for sure and had more of a lasting impact to me than the S2 finale did.

Make sure to watch The Missing Pieces (90min of deleted scenes) because they’re really good. They’re closer to the show in tone and are also canon to S3

The reddit hivemind is real

Does BOB literally take control of Leland's body, or is he just exerting influence over his actions? Latter seems like a good way to double dip on garmonbozia, since you'd get it from Leland as well as the victim.

I think it's just the fact that people don't browse this board while it's flooded with gay of thrones and capeshit threads. I mean look at the catalog, it's overwhelming. There's nothing to see here and decent threads get pushed into oblivion pretty quickly, so browsing is even more of a waste of time than normally
