They are. Revenge Of The Sith is the best Star Wars film and there's some genuinely great storytelling moments. Everyone likes to shit on Attack Of The Clones but Anakin's monologue about murdering the sand people is a pure kino moment.

They only really shine in comparison to the Yidsney ones. Practically shakespeare comparatively. Still have the SW curse of the concepts being miles above the execution.

Why are we kidding ourselves here? I’m 24. I was 4 years old when TPM came out. I was already familiar with the OT by that point as well. I still like it a lot. It’s not a good movie from a film perspective. It’s a very monotone film and even the action scenes can be a slog to get through. Attack of the Clones was always terrible. I remember sitting in the theater and dreading it at 7 years old. The age when I should’ve thought it was great. The romance plot was just painful, the pacing of the film is all over the place and it goes on forever, Jango Fett is wasted, the green screen is so obvious and the CGI is actually worse than TPM somehow, and don’t even get me started on Anakin. His performance is just downright embarrassing and I was cringing at him constantly. I just felt so uncomfortable watching it. Revenge of the Sith at least looks way better visually. It’s amazing how much it jumped (mainly because LOTR pushed visual effects forward way more than the prequels did but I digress). Anakin was still portrayed terribly but the cringe factor was way less. He was just a static board for the most part. The pacing was a much better as well. I just hate how easily he turns. It’s so out of left field and feels completely unbelievable. The dark side is calling to him because he thinks his teachers are mean to him and he has visions of his wife dying while giving birth? That’s it? So he decides to go on a school shooting and murder innocent children? Ok. I get that you all hate TLJ here and are using that to justify any redeeming qualities of the PT but take a step back for a second. These films are at least 85% complete shit when lumped together. Great ideas executed terribly.
