it has ricky from trailer park boys in it

Godzilla 2000 was my favorite growing up

>I'm a retard. But I'm a retard.
Good thread

Sure is nice when you can actually see the action even if it is kind of stupid

OP you should definitely check out the classic movies and some of the later ones

Glad I'm not the only one that thinks this. I tried to watch the "real" Godzilla that weebs always pretend to like, and I can't take it seriously. It looks like a Barney character, too goofy looking. The 98 Godzilla at least looked like a monster.

It was good.
I don't know what all the hate is for, if it was called something else but Godzilla it would've been a great movie.

That is because you're a mouth breathing retard, OP. Hope this illuminates things for you.

Meh, gookzilla is overrated as fuck. He looks like a $3 halloween costume and all the scenes suck. Shin, Destroyah, and 2014 were at least less laughable than the classic ones.

Here´s a superior one

Thanks, brighteyes

>The monsters look like shit
>The action is boring
Do you guys just force yourselves to like this trash?

Its one of my guilty pleasures, I even have it on blu ray. I loved it when I was younger and I still have a soft spot for it.
It's really not that great a film though but I don't give a shit. I enjoy it

>I don't watch good movies. But i thought this shitty one was pretty good fun.
Good for you, kid.

as the remake of the beast of 20000 fathoms it was great

whats bad about it?

Not enjoying Asian people dying en masse

>Destoroyah
>highly recommended

Along from the other shit takes this is even worse than the last

Yeah the movie gets harshly treated because of fucking weebs.

It's actually a ton of fun. Sharply paced, some great practical sfx (the movie was made during that cool period where studios didn't just rely on cgi for everyfuckingthing and used it economically), decent casting choices and fun sequences.

The scene where Godzilla first arrives in New York is kino as fuck and better than anything in any other Godzilla movie ever made.

Its a great guilty pleasure.

While I do like this movie, I just really don't like how anyone in this board that likes it calls the original Godzilla a piece of shit while the actual Gojifags consider this movie to be a total waste.

Can't you enjoy both?

People who like cinema don't trash old movies for having old effects and "looking like shit", it's the same as trashing it for being black and white. People who like cinema look at it with different eyes and understand all the limitations of filmmaking.

This board is not for people who like cinema anymore, is for people that like big franchises.

Trashing things for being old, American or "Chinkshit" is what you can expect now. So no, enjoying both doesn't create dank memes.

On-topic: I do like the monster in 1998 and many scenes, but the characters and humour never worked for me. I just liked the monster.

It's a fun 90s movie but the cast is terrible apart from Jeno Reno.

Millennium series will always by my favorite, it's what introduced me to the franchise and has the best designs imo

Based and redpilled.

Godzilla 1998 is kino. Sure it doesn't follow the original but it's a good stand-alone movie.

>doesn't like Destoroyah
Your opinion on absolutely anything does not fucking matter any longer.

>Tokyo SOS 'can be skipped'
Immense disservice, both Kiryu movies are some of the best Godzilla movies of all time.

Can’t believe someone saved my list, I got shit on constantly when I made this a couple years ago

Its trash. But enjoyable trash. Far better than the supposed true-to-the-source-material shite from a few years ago.

and deservedly so

Where?

>Godzilla vs Gigan
>Highly recommended

>Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla II
>can be skipped

lol

Godzilla is japanese capeshit. Disgusting that you watch such garbage

>-points for King Caesar, the best fucking monster in the Showa Era

Fucking REEEEEE

For me is a pretty solid list, kudos for recommending "vs Hedorah" and "vs Gigan", both of them are amazing.

Abysmal taste, m8, that cheap suit and summoning song were beyond cringe.

King Caesar was legitimately holding his own with MechaGodzilla and had a cool martial arts gimmick. Watching him absorb and reflect beams was hype as fuck.

What's the appeal of these movies? they all look like the same thing

>Reptar comes in hyperbeaming buildings
>Japanese make no preparations for it
>their military gets btfo til another Digimon comes along and fucks up the sea lizard
>Japanese Barney pussies out, flees back into the safety of the water

>King Caesar was legitimately holding his own with MechaGodzilla

Keep dreaming, Mechs was handling his furry ass with ease until uncle Goji joined the party with his magnetic personality.

A wierd way of ripping off the last scene of The Lost World and making it into an entire movie

>size does matter

wtf did they mean by this?

Attached: big.jpg (640x502, 93K)

And MechaG was spanking both of them hard until Godzilla pulled that new ability right out of his cavernous rectum.

>everyone falling over themselves and each other to shit on everything Godzilla as hard as possible
So, is the the Yea Forums culture, or are you all being serious?

>I'm an idiot. I'm also clinically retarded.
Thanks for the info, OP. Now go back to eating glue.

It did well. They were disappointed that it didn't have Titanic numbers.

It does has the same comfy feels that Independence Day had.

I love how those 90's movies setted in NY had those heavy rain scenes

It was honestly one of my favourite movies as a kid. I’m pretty sure I had a backpack or t shirt with that exact same image on it.
