When did /got/ really end?

When did /got/ really end?

Who's the new fucking Prince in Dorne?

Why does it feel like the entire kingdom is 15 people?

When Linda from accounts started watching it with her husband Brian

hey guys remember the night king?
that was some wild stuff, am i right?

I can only say when it peaked.
Red Wedding and Danny liberated Slavers Bay in S3.
It was all downhill from there.

sometime in season 5 I think

When John gets stabbed and dany flees Mareen

When Roose Bolton got poisoned by his enemies

When Stannis 'died'

like REALLY really
when that cutie died 2bh

The final episode of season 4

kek

Here

this will go down in the history of biggest blunders in film. 8 seasons of build up, all for a battle to dark to see, and instant kill, and it's forgotten about with no impact on the story.

when oberyn died

Pretty accurate t b h

Died with Tywin.

they really fucked with pacing by making seasons 7 and 8 less than 10 episodes, everything just feels rushed

I think the first time I was genuinely disappointed was when season 4 ended with a small skirmish at the wall and then Stannis mopping up a small camp in the woods rather than having this giant charge of southern knights facing giants riding mammoths and 100 000 wildlings

What should have been his first words?

This. Some people say s4 was still good, and that it may very well be, but it was objectively worse than all seasons before it.

when the sept of baelor blew up desu

i was alright with the shit writing right up until Arya killed the NK

Fuck GoT!

this
0 backlash from people or anything

butter my biscuit bran

you're right bros cheers

Pretty accurate. I gave up on the show at the end of season 3 but stuck around for Joffrey’s wedding

Once they killed off the one true king

After season 1.

I don't know, I don't watch that shit

Season 5 for me. Season 5 wasnt good but its still better than this season

season 5 or 6
i can't remember

When Tommen jumped.

When Arya shot the arrow at the target without fail.

is it really any different than the LOST monster turning out to be a robot or the numbers ending up meaning nothing?

aaaagghh

I mean I still enjoyed everything pretty much until Tyrian kills Tywin

Even in the books that’s a huge turning point and I find the story doesn’t recover really from that point

just get to this point in ep3 and close the video soprano style

wtf i love game of thrones again

season 1-4 was core /got/
season 5-6 was acceptable, but the writing was clearly declining
season 7-8 is fanfiction trash

Absolute kino

season 9 will get better again

The red wedding
Everything after that is all fantasy tripe.

Genuinely would have been a better choice.

Season 1-4 is core /got/. Based memes and redpills left and right.
Season 5-8 is fan fiction tier. Literally not in the books

Imagine GRRM dying haha haha and the show ending being considered as canon haha haha haha

GOT is bigger than lost and lost tried to have dumb twists. GOT just shamelessly flushed the shit down and hoped people would forget about it.

No man can kill me

powerful.

When Ned Stark died.

heh

The show burned into ashes with Shireen Baratheon and got pissed on when Stannis got "killed".

Brilliant.

>bigger
not by much
LOST had 13.5M viewers for the finale, while GOT had 11M for the S8 opener watching on HBO, combined with another 6M or so watching on streaming services. Hulu was pretty new when LOST was wrapping up, and the only legitimate way of streaming it. I don't believe they counted Hulu viewers in the numbers, so they're probably fairly comparable.

Nope, season 2 episode 9, bitch

When he died.

the rape, Sansa

when tywin died because muh dwarf

When salsa got "raped" by her husband

Perfection.

fuck jannies

This

season 1 - great
season 2 - great with some changes from the source for no real reason
season 3-4 - same as season 2 but the pointless changes are starting to compound
season 5 onwards - just

I haven't watched the show past Season and episode 5.5

Is it worth getting back into or no?

it's worth hatewatching if you're into that

what did they change in seasons 2-4?

I envy you.

s4e10
arya sailing to braavos
everything after that is fanfiction

i could spend all day listing them but the ros storyline jumps to mind. also the butchering of tyrion/jaime at the end of s4 for the sake of "crush the beetles"

>BAD POOOSSI

>seasons 1-3
Season 2 was shit too though.
Season 1 was the only good one.

>the ros storyline
such trash that I literally forgot she was a character who did anything

Season five.

In the beginning it was forgivable stuff, changing some storylines, removing some superfluous characters, making the overall story more streamlined for a 10 Episode show instead of a 800 page book.

But as the show went on the changed more and more to the point where whole characters, plots and outcomes were changed beyond recognition and for the worst.

And then once the source material ended the story just nose dived into retardation

Griff

just a few:
>adding talisa and portraying rob as a main character just to get shock value point for killing him
>tyrion's last meeting with jaime and the truth about tysha which is one of the most significant character development moments for both characters
>wasted screentime for ros and shae
>theon/ramsey plot was dropped in the show just to be inserted later on
>extended dany qarth plot and abridged slavers bay plot
>bloody mummers removed
>jaime returning to kings landing too early so he fails his oath to catelyn
>lady stoneheart

It went downhill after Tywin's death

So did the books

Agreed, /got/ fags forgot the last 2 books are a lot worse than the first 3

Red wedding was brilliant twist that never payed off. It's like grrm killed of the character who was ostensibly the series hero, to shock the audience, but never knew how to carry on after that.

It really shows in the fact he's never finished the books.

rob was a secondary character who was offscreen for most of the books. he was only potrayed as the main hero in the show

ice to meet you

First off, Robb was never the "main" character. He didn't even have a POV. Second, it wasn't just for shock, moron. It advanced the story and disregarded the "good character plot armor" that you usually see in everything else. Robb fucked up hard and he paid the price for it, that's it.

My name is Eddard Stark

When Lord Commander Snow got mutinied.

After season 4

season 2

Does it matter that it wasnt payed off?
He was dumb northen fuck obsessed with honor like his father who learned it from vale.

He should have been ruthless northman like his uncle brandon.

FUCK NED
FUCK VALE

kek

underrated

what is dead may never die

This is right, Stannis getting killed so stupidly, by Brienne no less.

It made Jon the primary northern Stark which enabled basically everything after he was resurrected to occur. Not sure what more you would want it to do

s4 finale was the perfect way to end the show. stannis saves the nights watch from the wildling army, bran gets to the three eyed raven cave, dany chains up the dragons, tyrion kills tywin, arya gets on a ship headed off to braavos.
its a great finale.

Beetle scene was fucking kino tho.

underrated

When my nigga Beric's last flame was snuffed out.
