Dany thought she'd just push forward Jon on the throne to get rid of her, but we see that's not the only reason Sansa tells Tyrion. That wasn't her being LF and playing the game, but coming undone, almost unmasking herself in front of Tyrion, because she was both afraid and desperate. She's almost crying and those were not fake tears. She's been manipulating him since ep01, but in that moment she lets her real feeling out for him to see and he does. Tyrion questions her why she isn't happy with the possibility of power to the North (via Jon with Dany) or being made a warden.
Why is that, user? She doesn't like Dany, thinks she'll be a poor queen. All true. But her reasons were fear for Jon. He's already in danger, but his odds are better if other people behind the scenes see him as a possibility. So she takes the risk.
