Yes
R*ddit the comic
Yes. He wanted to make everyone happy. That's what killed him. He had no love for himself and so he just did as many drugs as he could. Such a shame.
>Is fat
>screams
>falls over
His entire career in three steps. He had no range and if the bender hadn't killed him, he would've killed himself anyway after audiences got tired of his shtick a few years later. People were already getting sick of it at the time; look at the reviews for Black Sheep and how it was just Tommyboy on repeat. He was already dead.
Yes, he did the clumsy fat guy schtick better than anyone.

Then why do you care to know?
Shrek was supposed to be his transition into playing a more dramatic character; he was trying to transition out of the "big fat guy who falls over all the time" gimmick.
My friends brother was a standup comedian and he met Farley a few times and said he was not funny when hanging out but the source is a holier than thou douche type who never made it in comedy
This. He looked funny but all he did was scream.
He'd be a husk of a man if he hadn't gone out with a bang.
Of all the Untimely SNL Deaths, the only one I think is worth mourning is Phil Hartman. He didn't die from a drug overdose like most of the other morons and his career was still going strong when his cunt of a wife offed him.
Adam sandler and other kikes loved using him in their films because he was obviously overweight and made an ass of himself while having Germanic roots (blonde hair blue eyes). The kikes were paired with Germanic women as well (Happy Madison).

Can Meghan McCarthy die, too? Please?
Beverly Hills Ninja is pure kino.
he was kino in Billy Madison
I saw most of his movies when I was a kid and I thought they were quite mediocre.
I might change my mind if I rewatched them.
His best role was the guy who lived in a van down by the river.
he was a funnier jack black
He was hilarious, easily the funniest guy in the room in a room full of funny people. If you watch those old SNL skits, the writing was really lame because they figured "why write jokes when we can just have Chris go out and ad lib talking to juveniles and it'll be funny no matter what?" And it was. Kind of the same deal with the movies too, just some half-assed ideas for bits and having him roll with it.
Farley was best when he played a side character in a movie and wasn't the star. Like Dirty Work, Coneheads and Billy Madison. He plays the same character in all those movies, but at least it's in smaller doses than his leading films.

I absolutely hate the solo in this song, it's just Sandler making the song about himself.
>That Veronica Vaughn is one hot piece of AYSH
This. RIP Phil.
>a kike exploiting someone's death for his own gain
I'm shocked
He was funny if you are 12 years old or an idiot
A coked out clumsy and loud fat guy. Of course he was funny.
I wonder what kind of weird movies he would have been in had it gone differently
I would gladly sacrifice both Sandler and Spade to get him back.
Shrek, to start with
Read a ton of stories about him being amazingly friendly to fans, one guy told a story about how he ended up having dinner with them just randomly
Farley has never made kino like Sandler has, though he starred in a good few films like Dirty Work
Tommy Boy is the forgotten 'SNL but good' film

Sandler has had much more growth and range than you got from Spade and probably would have got from Farley.
he was funny for the first five minutes. After that, you had seen his entire comedic repertoire and it got repetitive.
Seemed like a nice enough dude in real life.
Shit, he's about average size by today's standards
I loved that guy, the few movies he did I'd watch with my dad and we'd laugh our asses off.
Have to agree though, being the fat loud guy seemed to be all he's got. Still, I'd say we need someone to be very good at being fat and loud, Farley was the best at it.
almost none of that crew were really funny. him, sandler, schneider, etc.
david spade is the only one who I've actually laughed at some of his bits, but in general he's still not all that funny.
He would be a bit above David Spade tier if he was alive today. It's better he went out at the height of his career. Was he funny? Energetic fat white guys will always be funny to a lot of people.
When people gave Farley a first glance at his schtick, all they saw was just a fat guy who fell down. And while a lot of his act did mostly consist of that gag, he was much more than that. Farley had presence and comedic timing and could pull off any skit without being the "big fat guy that falls over." "The Chris Farley Show" comes to mind.
Anyone here remember when Jim Breuer was on Stern a few years back and told that really creepy and sad story about Farley back in the SNL days? I'm trying to find it on Youtube.
>average size by today's American standards
FIFY.
No. Just another Fatty fall down go boom comic.
Kevin James basically owe his whole career to Farley. If it wasn't for his death then he'd be the one sitting courtside at Lakers games with Sandler, Rock and Spade.
I believe Farley also cried after the skit with the chip en dales dancer
Spade > Sandler > Rock > Fatty
found the chevy chase fan
>posts a picture of a grandpa equivalent to 0.33farleys
that's really sad
I thought he had potential to be hilarious but all the shouting and physical antics shit got tiresome quickly.
Wasn't Artie Lange in Dirty Work?
Anyone who gave andy dick a role after this fiasco deserves to rot in hell along with dick.
Seeing how faggy and what douche SJWs many celebrities I liked as a kid have turned into I’m kinda glad he died when he did. It’d suck to see Farley wearing a 3xl
>save trans kids
On some SNL episode opening monologue.
Oh you know the story I'm referring to? Where Farley is deep into his drug habit and is guest hosting SNL for the first time since he left? It's sad. I didn't know he cried after that Chip n' Dales skit.
For those who don't know:
Jim Breuer tells an excellent story on how Farley would walk into writing meetings just absolutely fucked up on drugs in preparation for his SNL guest host appearance in October of 1997, two months before his death. Tracy Morgan and Jim Breuer were more or less assigned by producers to watch over Farley since the producers knew he wasn't in the right mindset. Every now and again Farley would walk into writing meetings with hookers, throw some coke on the table, toss out a few ideas then bounce. If you go back and watch that SNL appearance, you can really see how bloated Farley is and that his comedic timing is way off. It's not great.
After his lack-luster SNL appearance in October of 1997 is where the saddest part of the story comes in. One night, Breuer gets an eerie late night call at like 3am by Farley. Breuer can tell Farley is at a party and loaded on drugs and alcohol. They start chatting when suddenly Breuer can tell that Farley steps aside from the party and cups the phone with his hand. Farley whispers into the phone, "Hey Jimmy boy, am I funny? People just think I'm a big fat slob that falls down all the time." and starts crying hysterical. Breuer said he spent the next 45 minutes on the phone with Farley trying to calm him down and tell him he's a funny guy. Breuer said he got the urge to call Chris to meet up with him since he had a bad feeling that Farley was in a really bad spot.
Unfortunately Breuer would never get that chance as Farley would pass away a couple weeks after that phone call.
