The books have been so far infinetely better than the show. And because of significant plot differences, there is the potential for the book finale to be much better

The way he switches between characters is sloppy as fuck, especially later on when you're going all over the place from POV to POV. This is dramatically easier to do in the show because it's a visual medium. He also can't tie up loose ends to save his life, it's no wonder he can't manage to actually finish, there's way too much bullshit going on.

This is unironically why Matt Groening made the Simpsons. Life is Hell is his real baby and he knew if he allowed the Jews any control of it they would run it into the ground purely for shekels.
To protect his baby, his child, he compromised and gave them his stepkid. His wife's baby if you like. He couldn't give a fuck what happens to it because he has no real connection to it.
