I know it took me a while, but this episode made me think of Varys (even book Varys) in a new light.

We had the Arc of Danny losing her trusted advisers and sources of power to have her become more erratic and paranoid that her one goal of becoming the queen is slipping away done pretty convincingly in one episode. This is one of those rare times the show has decided to show consequences to a characters actions. We also got the death of Misandry which is, despite how sudden it is a great step forward for the show.

I'm also really liking how the worst fans of the show are reacting all of this. Like SUDDENLY the show became bad for killing Misanndi as a plot device. implying that killing characters to move the plot isn't the only thing GoT has going for it.

No. There is nothing in medieval weaponary to be able to fire with that much force and be able to breach the skin of a dragon hundreds of yards away. Even bullets have a maximum range of effectiveness.
Aside from that, they've had absolutely no practise whatsoever of firing at something in the sky, and never fired at anything as fast as the dragons fly, which must be at least 3-4 times faster than a horse at full gallop. It's a big target, but their first hit is to the heart, and the second one to the neck? If they were leading it, the shots would land in the opposite order.
