If you are a smaller studio then you can always, you know, not release your flop at the same time as Endgame, the second highest grossing movie of all time?
MCU films are 2-3 per year, at most, and are due for a long break after Far From Home.
There's plenty of time for other movies.
Captain Marvel and Endgame releasing too close to each other did choke some smaller films, yes, but that's a one time thing and you're blowing it way out of proportion.

Going to the movie theaters is pretty annoying. Especially when it comes ti watching superhero movies.

Imagine waiting 30 minutes for the actual movie to start while ads of movies I don't care about plays throughout, you sit on your ass for like 2 hours and can't take breaks between the movie, that one time you have sit next to a smelly disgusting fat fuck that breathes heavily and eats his nacho chip and popcorn like a fucking animal.

This is why I prefer watching at home, digitally.

For this reason I think cinemas will die out. There are so many better options these days. It's not like the 60's when at best you had a black and white 12' screen at home.

This is pretty much why I've been to the cinema like twice in the last several years. Going to see a 2 hour movie is basically a 5 hour round trip considering drive time/waiting and 99.99% of movies these days I wouldn't watch for free at home on TV/pirated, let alone waste 5 hours of my weekend and pay money for the privilege of it.

It might be just me, but I didn't have that experience the two times I went to the cinema this year.

It's not quite 30minutes here, but the ads are literally there to tell people how to live their lives.

Not the same guy, but I like going to matinee showings at the movies on the weekdays. Hardly anybody is ever there and I get to watch a movie on a 25 foot wide screen with surround sound. My theater has showings of older movies sometimes and I got to see Die Hard on the big screen a few months ago. It was pretty sweet. Now if only they would have showings of film noir like the Big Sleep at some point.
