Why didn't Cersei just order her soldiers to shoot bolts at the diplomatic convoy? Daenerys was right there. Her dragon was right there. Why the fuck does she let them leave? I'm pretty sure S6E10 established that she doesn't give a fuck about diplomacy and this was the perfect opportunity to get rid of the usurper threat once and for all, just as she did with the destruction of the sept of Baelor.
Why would they even trust her to not blast them immediately in the first place? None of this makes sense. S2 Tyrion would have told Daenerys to stay the fuck away from the city until they scouted it properly. He would have told her to never treat with Cersei in person. What the fuck were the writers smoking?
cuz physics those bolts don't have that kind of range and they are not heat seeking or anything also, once fired the reload time is a bitch, meaning dany could've whooped their butts if they had tried and failed t. military pro
Blake Taylor
Why didn't you post in one of the existing GOT threads instead of creating a new one?
Nolan Perez
Why didn't Cersei just kill everybody there???!?!? Shot the dragon, what the other 80 people would do?
Liam Foster
They were closer than the stupidass ships were when they shot down Rhaegal, not to mention Drogon was basically sitting still.
Correct answer. Euron should never had been able to shoot a dragon out of the sky. This is why only Tyrion dared get into range.
Joseph Lee
did you fucking watch the part where they shot a moving dragon from moving ships from 10x the distance to the sitting dragon in that scene
Jason Jackson
Cercei is a queen now. She can't just pull crazy shits so people would labelled her Mad Queen, which would lead into being queenslay'ed.
Oliver Johnson
because she thinks Jaime is still with them and they'd just have him executed. I assume its just there to build up the suspense in the scene and make the audience think messandre isnt gonna get chopped into bits maybe. the whole scene is hot trash so who gives a shit.
Gabriel Martin
asspull fiesta
Jaxson Martinez
Having the whole crew on site just to send menacing stare was their first mistake. In real life, a small crew of diplomats would have messaged Cersei at the red keep, and she wouldn't have killed them, because this would have happened hundreds of times in her career and robert's, and you just don't kill diplomats because its bad PR, and there is no point.
But then, you have shit movies that show you the 2 protagonists face to face that somehow don't attempt anything, for "honor" or whatever.

English longbows during the war of the roses could reach 400 yards by professional archers
Ayden Cook
good point maybe she doesnt even want her brother back. The whole situation is stupid.
Logan Fisher
Because Cersei hates everyone inside King's Landing as much as she hates everyone outside of it, and she wants to see them all dead.
Wyatt Davis
she certainly should have killed tyrion during his speech. completely out of character shes been wanting him dead her entire fucking life
Oliver Campbell
It's the same reason Bran reveals vital information during some scenes and then shuts up during others.
Because the writers think the audience is stupid.
Also feel sad for Missandei because she's important or something.
yeah because they were fired in an arc. those bolt throwers would have had to be fired indirectly not positioned the way they were. Dany looked too close to the wall though, she could have been in range but the plot device levels on those ballista means they could probably shoot all the way to Winterfell if they wanted.
Jaxson Gomez
daenerys is only a few metters away the show already established the power of the bolts by BTFO'ing a dragon a few km's away 10 minutes earlier there was at least 10 balistas on the wall
Jacob Moore
It was said earlier in the episode she wanted Dany to be seen slaughtering slaughtering the people inside
Ethan Russell
Longbow professional archers didnt fire in arcs tho
Austin Edwards
>half their forces survived the Battle for Winterfell even though the entire castle was completely stormed with wights, a 10% survival rate would already be stretching it, half is just the writers pissing over the script >Jon doesn't even touch Ghost when he leaves Winterfell, he just fucks off
Landon White
It also doesn't make sense for Tyrion to show himself to Cersei after he learned that she hired Bronn to assassinate him... No one was making any sense.
Jackson Peterson
which is pointless and unnecessary if she just kills them right then and there? Is this Cersei or Nathan Fielder? That just seems unnecessarily convoluted if the only threat to her rule is the Dragon Queen.
Hudson Edwards
to hit max range with a longbow you have to volley fire it or fire from a elevated position.
Blake Foster
and this is why Yea Forums and /k/ will never understand each other
hint: it's all about range - arrows and other slow projectiles have very limited range
>Huge ass balistas couldn't reach Drogo >Probably take an hour to reload. >Pointed above Dany's group's heads. >Dany's group was out of range of arrow volleys. >Cersei was out in the open >Drogo could have taken out yaaas queen slay
Dominic Allen
The boat balista looked adjustable. The wall balistas did not. The ones on the wall looked fixed or like each one would need 10 strong dudes to re-aim.
Robert Smith
Can't wait for the epic feminist scene where Arya sneaks past an army and kills Cersei.
